Gran Turismo Sport v1.23 Now Available: New Circuit de Sainte-Croix, Mercedes F1 Car and More

In my opinion there is no point to bring highdownforce cars in this game, they handling are so unrealistic the grip is unbelievable, it has always been like this in Gran Turismo.
So a car with high downforce should have less grip...:odd: The grip is unbelievable in real life with high downforce cars. Even top class time attack cars have extreme grip levels because of downforce.

Love reading so many opinions of people claiming the cars are not realistic. I’m pretty sure that most people have never driven or will ever drive a lot of the cars in gt sport. So to have opinions on downforce, tires and how these things handle is pretty much opinions with no basis of fact or experience to go with.

As for the new track I love it. Not sure why people are saying it’s flat and boring. I feel it’s a good challenge to get around hitting the apex and exits and has a nice flow allowing you to push a car to find the perfect lines.

My point was to contradict your erroneous statement.

I just think that's a dumb way to contradict a wrong statement since you can be one of the worlds best champion....but also cause accident like a completely idiot.....at the same time. SURPRISE!! humans are capable of being both skilled/intelligent and a dumb idiot. its called complexity. Usually there's a brain with billions of neurons are involved in this process.
The same way someone can donate to charity and help poor people but also be a bad person to everyone around them.
The same way how I can be incredibly good at my job as an inspection officer for oil rigs but also need to recite a song in my head to spell the word bananas.

Can you?

Not sure about that one...

But in your example of Vettel (being both an intelligent driver and a stupid driver that crashes), you would be good at inspecting oil rigs but then allow explosions to happen due to stupid over-cites on your part...

No. I counted 18 in the video and there are only 7 in the MiEx to date. This suggests at least some more new content for MiEx will come - whether this will include new paints, wheels, decals or vehicles is very much up in the air.

I'd be a bit disappointed if we can only get these two at a time. Its starting to feel like GTA with the drip feeding.

Macau would have been a great addition to the track list. I don't get why PD is obsessed by fantasy tracks.

I have my doubts....

I think that there's eight slots.

Of course there's 16 slots for paints...

As I said before, I did not like the new circuit. Particularly I am a fan of racetracks (autodrome), not improvised circuits such as roads and city. I like escape area - grams and sand. I do not like walls and guard rails near the tracks.

The original circuits of the initial trilogy appeal to me, for example.

St. Croix, like Alsace, seem to me very generic and without identity.

But I understand PD. Perhaps, they wanted to add a road circuit, of great extension, to make a parallel with Norchleife.

Loved the two Croatian circuits, Gardens and Seaside, loved Maggiore and Kyoto. But the new GTS circuits are in negative balance, in my opinion.

It's strange, given the extraordinary taste in creating original circuits from previous games.

As for the new cars, I liked it a lot.

My only restriction is regarding W08, which can not be editable. Would it be better for the PD to make available three generic F1 cars (Formula GT 2017?) Models, based on the F1 season, with distinctive wing designs, to keep the difference of each car. Anyway, as they did with the Lotus 97T.

The new track is boring. The layout doesn't feel like it was intended for racing and something about the scenery feels like it has been abandoned for a decade. Not the Provence I know.

Thx for share that info. It was the only car i was interested in. Because in Assetto Corsa it is a real joy, this car made a smile into my face on every corner exit.
Good to know that i can save now credits for something else :D
Body roll you say?

I remember this being quite a fun car in GT6, assuming it's 20 million I won't be trying it in GT Sport anytime soon.
After a second try it's not that bad actually. I drove it at Monza first and it felt very static, but then I gave it a go at Brands Hatch and it felt like completely different car. It understeers quite a bit though, and it's close to impossible to powerslide the damn thing, which I find very odd. Sure, you can upgrade the LSD but you shouldn't have to.

As for the sound, it's not that it sounds bad, but simply not accurate, and the transmission noise is not pleasant and hardly realistic in a car of this era.

Other than that it's almost worth it just looking at it. It's one of the most beautiful cars in automotive history. I wish they'd replicated an original instead of a present day upgraded version though. They didn't have full rollcages like this in the 60's.

If you've driven a fwd car with a diff, you'll know that the physics for the Civic Type R are all wrong.

I really like the new track also.

*idk how to separate quotes like that so please bare with me*
to the first one- yes you can. You can be a world champion but make idiot decisions and cause a crash
the second one- I mean...the 2008 financial crisis I think a good example of smart people making stupid decisions to make alot of money that crashed an entire economy
the third one- you are correct in one extreme (thats a big extreme that can cause lives)....but a less extreme example of that would be me jutting down one wrong measurement for a pipe fitting (maybe I was tired, or distracted) causing the company to waste thousands of dollars in buying the wrong pipe. Oops. I made an idiot mistake even tho I went college for 6 years for this. Doesn't mean im the worse at my job....it just means that I made an idiot mistake.

So I have driven the Lewis Hamilton W08 as it was the first car from this update I have purchased, and here are my thoughts.

The sound isn’t terrible at all, as the pitch certainly is right. Inaccurate sure, but it’s not absolute garbage. The way the car drives is something I saw complaints about early this morning as I was downloading the update, and yes it is weird, but did you really expect a FORMULA 1 CAR to drive like a modern LE MANS PROTOTYPE? What I have learned is that for some corners (I drove it at Monza and Interlagos, since they are 2 of the tracks on the F1 calendar that are also in GT Sport), don’t trust the recommended gear AT ALL! You also want to make sure that you let off the brake BEFORE you start turning, because if you do, you’re gonna lose the rear end, and if you let the car slow down too much, you’re gonna get wheelspin.

To be fair, once you get the hang of the way it drives, it is EXTREMELY FAST! My lap times at both of those circuits I mentioned were only under 2 seconds slower than the times I set in the Red Bull X2014 Standard! So yes, you may need to make some adjustments to the gears, downforce, and most certainly the way you drive, but once you do, it’s gonna reward you with some extreme speed!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that, like real F1, you CANNOT put full power down on the car once you exit a corner. You’ve gotta take it easy and as you get on the power again, be more steady with it! If you decide to go full throttle once as soon as you tackle a corner, be prepared to lose the rear end!

I thought everyone knew this since GT1,if the recommended gear is 2 you need to put either in first or third
