Gran Turismo Sport v1.23 Now Available: New Circuit de Sainte-Croix, Mercedes F1 Car and More

Funny, the Circuit de Sainte-Croix has more road signs than Circuit de La Serthe, i was hoping for a graphical update, they just corrected the static
spectators, but not the poor textures and some floating trees, like those of Leroy Merlin, they also will not eat chicken wings at KFC as in IRacing, because the building is generic like the others, a shame , now for me, the sound of the Mazda 787b is ok while the Mercedes W08 has an unnecessary transmission whine sound..

Is it just me or does it look like the new crappy circuit was designed by Herman Tilke? No rhythm at all and lots of similar angled turns...
I actually like Herman Tilke tracks. He redesigned Fuji Speedway and designed Sepang F1 circuit. I've driven Sepang in real life, and it's blast. Technical, for sure, but with 2 long straights to let the engine rip. If I recall, it's one of Alonso's favourite tracks.

Heheheh yeah. Was doing some laps earlier, more than once the corners fooled me into thinking I was at another part of the track altogether. The combinations are quite similar in places and it might take me a bit longer than usual to get up to speed.

Yes, the whine just isn't right. I think it sounds more like a MotoGP rather then a F1.

I thought everyone knew this since GT1,if the recommended gear is 2 you need to put either in first or third

I don't remember recommended gears in the first one, or the second - thought that came in with GT3 perhaps, but this is purely from memory and it's not important enough to go and check game footage for each one :)

200 million...Im not from Japan.

I knew it was asking too much , we still have the big red low fuel warning on screen , oh and I'm a little disappointed with rest , still , early days , sort of

Yeah i was wrong it started on 3 i remember playing it and not trusting the recommented gear

He ruined Fuji! That last section is an abomination of horrible, fiddly and blind hairpins.

Ok, tried the new track. It’s good. Not as flat and as banal as the replays appear.

Still cannot stand the throttle response using pedals with this game. I swear I’ve constantly got the pedal floored which makes my leg cramp even when I’m making a concerted effort to not overpress.

Don’t have this issue in any other game I’ve ever played. There is absolutely minimal throttle response in the upper 1/3 of the range.

Time to put this back on the shelf until the next update.

Same here. I had to work out on my own what it was at the time, and initially ruled out suggested gear because it was always different to what I would use! So I went through multiple guesses...Boost pressure...laps left of fuel....engine damage from over revving...and as soon as I realised what it was supposed to be, it's annoyed me ever since :D

I kinda see it as a challenge. That last section of Fuji is actually very similar to the couple of corners leading up to the back straight of Sepang. It's tricky because the apex is actually "hidden", not where you think it'd be. It's like in Best Motoring when Tsuchiya, Orido, etc tried the redesigned Fuji for the first time. They missed the apex leading up to the straight, till they figured out where it really was. I haven't nailed that section I'm Sepang myself in real life. The pro drivers I spoke to said that section is where the most time is gained/lost because of the hidden apex. it's a Herman Tilke signature ;)

They are really good for someone that's new to racing games and wants to practice a few laps on a track, you start with the recommended gears and try to go faster than the game suggests you, great way to learn how to be faster.

My video 1000% confirms that the 787b is the best sounding car in the game during replays... that howl around 9000 rpm is ghostly.

Possibly even the best sounding 787b in any game...my hats off to pd.

In the replay it sounds good, no problems with that. But while driving the car the sound is a disappointment. The sound is an octave to high. Strange that PD can have the sound in the replay right but during racing the sound is wrong. The 787B is famous for his sound so PD should have this right

And some real world tracks would be nice. Unbelievable what PD is doing all day when you see how many time they need for a game and even after several years, they release a game what still is not finished. Sony should have a talk with the people from PD.

The C version is just horrible to learn. I run cockpit view with no hud, so I use cones to learn the courses. The cones are just sporadic and not consistently placed around this version, often times right corners aren’t even coned. Frustrating for sure, and the other version are kinda boring, plain and uneventful.
