I actually like Herman Tilke tracks. He redesigned Fuji Speedway and designed Sepang F1 circuit. I've driven Sepang in real life, and it's blast. Technical, for sure, but with 2 long straights to let the engine rip. If I recall, it's one of Alonso's favourite tracks. Is it just me or does it look like the new crappy circuit was designed by Herman Tilke? No rhythm at all and lots of similar angled turns...

Funny, the Circuit de Sainte-Croix has more road signs than Circuit de La Serthe, i was hoping for a graphical update, they just corrected the static
spectators, but not the poor textures and some floating trees, like those of Leroy Merlin, they also will not eat chicken wings at KFC as in IRacing, because the building is generic like the others, a shame , now for me, the sound of the Mazda 787b is ok while the Mercedes W08 has an unnecessary transmission whine sound..
GET OUT!I actually like Herman Tilke tracks
I thought everyone knew this since GT1,if the recommended gear is 2 you need to put either in first or third
200 million...Im not from Japan.

I don't remember recommended gears in the first one, or the second - thought that came in with GT3 perhaps, but this is purely from memory and it's not important enough to go and check game footage for each one

a millionHow much does the F1 car cost?
Yeah i was wrong it started on 3 i remember playing it and not trusting the recommented gear
I kinda see it as a challenge. That last section of Fuji is actually very similar to the couple of corners leading up to the back straight of Sepang. It's tricky because the apex is actually "hidden", not where you think it'd be. It's like in Best Motoring when Tsuchiya, Orido, etc tried the redesigned Fuji for the first time. They missed the apex leading up to the straight, till they figured out where it really was. I haven't nailed that section I'm Sepang myself in real life. The pro drivers I spoke to said that section is where the most time is gained/lost because of the hidden apex. it's a Herman Tilke signatureHe ruined Fuji! That last section is an abomination of horrible, fiddly and blind hairpins.
Same here. I had to work out on my own what it was at the time, and initially ruled out suggested gear because it was always different to what I would use! So I went through multiple guesses...Boost pressure...laps left of fuel....engine damage from over revving...and as soon as I realised what it was supposed to be, it's annoyed me ever since

Agreed, I can't stand Alsace and Yamagiwa either.track looks good (A version)
definitely better than ****** Yamigawa or Alsace
looks like some real track not fantasy
No Monza or Interlagos in the Merc race series? What are you doing PD?
My video 1000% confirms that the 787b is the best sounding car in the game during replays... that howl around 9000 rpm is ghostly.
Possibly even the best sounding 787b in any game...my hats off to pd.
Heheheh yeah. Was doing some laps earlier, more than once the corners fooled me into thinking I was at another part of the track altogether. The combinations are quite similar in places and it might take me a bit longer than usual to get up to speed.
