This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:

If we get more than one Group E would be warranted. Otherwise Group X because there's no way a Formula E would fit in any of the actual classes. They'll all be Group X, unless they get their own category... Group E?
Or Group FE?.They'll all be Group X, unless they get their own category... Group E?
Just like Super GT cars got their own category(Gr 2) the same will happen with Formula E cars. They'll all be Group X, unless they get their own category... Group E?
As I said in another thread, we will need Tokyo R246, New York, Citta di Aria, Hong Kong...
It will be an interesting way of driving. Lift and coasting for charging the batteries and limited use of brakes + still going fast around the track.
Looking at the "attack mode" video that was posted by the Formula E Channel on YouTube I noticed that the style and execution of the video was very similar to the ones we're used to see by PD. Have a look yourselves:
Don't give away the tricks...
That would be interesting to see especially if the Formula E cars are going to be used for the FIA Gran Turismo Championship.I wonder if we'll get the fan boost?
Or to go one better, they should recreate one of those tracks in real life for Formula E. I mean, that R246 area in Akasaka is mostly suitable park land. It's not the worst idea ever.As I said in another thread, we will need Tokyo R246, New York, Citta di Aria, Hong Kong...
I can't think of any category of motorsport that I am less interested in.
Motorsport will be dead to me at that point, I'm sure it will be for many others too.Well you better get used to it as it’s the future of motoring and motorsport.
