Euro GT2, first slot at 9am. All B/S lobby, 70 points for the win. As planned I sat out qualification and so started 15th, with the #15 board. Tough day ahead.

Image-3.jpeg

Start went as planned. Got through turn 1 and lap 1 without any contact or penalties. Made some moves and quickly moved up to P10. Someone brave pitted lap 1. A mix of strategies, people starting on all 3 compounds. Banged in the steady laps, followed the pack ahead but didn't really get involved. Cars started to pit off softs around lap 9, easily cleared them.

Steadily making my way up the field. Up to P3 as the people on mediums started to come in. Cleared them all, including the leader who went 15 laps on them.

Image-2 (2).jpeg

The Peugeot ahead was also doing a no-stopper on the hards and never seen again. My situation was a bit surprising - after starting at the back I wasn't really expecting to spend the last few laps in a battle for the podium!

Image-1 (9).jpeg

Unfortunately even my hards were starting to let go at that point. Up until then I'd had no track limit penalties or off-track excursions. Had both at the end of lap 18 which dropped me down to 6th. Managed to hold off 2 cars behind and bring it home in that spot.

Pretty pleased with that one. 56 points which will count for my final season score of 187. Not sure if that will be enough to bump me up to the silver rewards zone for manufacturer or region.

Strategy-wise it seems pretty balanced between mediums-hards or a hards no-stopper for GT2/3.

No-stop worked a charm for me.

Raced the second slot, worth 93 pts (I think?), running board #6. Been on a steady upward trajectory as of late, so I was a bit tense for this one as I wanted to end my season on a high.

Qualified a measly 8th, 1.3s from pole, but I was actually happy to start further back so there was no doubt I had to run hards throughout.

Picked up a position on the start, executed a well-timed lunge on a Ferrari to grab P6 into T1 and settled in behind a GTR whom I’d stick with for the rest of the race.

A hard-charging Medium-shod Genesis overtook me into T1 and went after the GTR. A poor few sequence of corners at one point made me drop off by two seconds, but once the two cars up ahead went into battle I closed back up.

Genesis went wide exiting T10, opening the door for me to retake the position, then peeled into the pits. A series of other soft-runners, far up the field by this point, pit too and I was now P3.

The gap between the GTR and I stabilised to around 0.8s-second, I pushed him all the way and he was faultless. No one came back at us behind, the next car 5 seconds back in P4 who I suppose was also a no-stopper.

A brilliant way to round out the GTWS for me with another best score of 83 points. Seldom have I experienced such closely-matched racing that is respectful in a racing game. Roll on the next championship! 🥳

GT2: Low DRB lobbies, got 2 poles with 1:31,7xx, went on M15/H5, finished 3rd both races with 1 PEN, winners with no stop strat and 13secs on me....
So I know what to next!

#Edit
Next one was a no stopper from Q2 and I finished P2 with 10secs on the 1st, who started P10 (also no stop)!
I did constantly 1:34/:35xx laps with no pen,
but he just swished away...

64pts, I'm done for today...

Season is DONE!

Race 1
GT2 - 11am - all DR B lobby. Was given #2

Quali - so I didn’t really want to Quali to high up the field as I decided a non stop was the better strategy. Fastest lap I could was a 1.32 for P11

Race - hard tyres and go the distance. Race was going well gained a few and lost a few place on the opening laps. Lap 14 I get a bit out of shape which then allows the cars behind to close up. In the infield section a Spanish driver goes past but then into the next corner I get hit from behind which then hits them, and appears to Spanish driver a push to pass. Next corner the spanish driver tries to punt me off, but doesn’t succeed but the next corner they push me off. The steering angle was pointing at my car. Deliberate move to push me off. Finished P13 in the end. So annoying as I was running P7 and on course for a possible P5 more likely P6.

Retirements - 1, quit early I’m the race

—————————————————————————————————————————

Race 2
GT2 - 12pm all DR B lobby. Car #7 this time.

Quali - again wanted to be about mid pack to start on hards. 1.32.3 for P10

Race - hards again and go distance. Just felt like track position is better round here. Start was ok. Had my Spanish nemesis in front of me. Was a clean battle this time. Opening lap gain a position, but lap 2 I run wide at T4 and get 0.500 even though I went slow to try and not trigger a penalty. Then on lap 2 we have the big issue with track. Push to pass. Once on car uses the P2P method your then put of sequence for every corner and every other car behind you then uses the same method. Lap 14 I’m up to P6. Ive been stuck behind a BRZ for pretty much 8 laps. Just couldn’t find a way past. Two cars who pitted mid race now on soft were just way too quick. Down into P8 now. L17 I final make the pass on the BRZ and up to P7 and that is where I ended up finishing in the end. Honestly think that all I’ve got in me on this combo.
Finish P7 for 102 points.

Retirements - 2. 1 quit on Lap 1 and the other mid race.

Just did the Asia second GT1 slot. I am livid! I dislike Interlagos at the best of times, but having cleanly made up 3 spots on lap 1 and showing good pace, I got pit maneuvered between turns 1 and 2 on the second lap. Lost 15 seconds and race over. Without that time loss, I finish p6.

Just junk, and seems to happen somewhere every time I race here.

Still not sure if I’ll go again. Absolutely fuming.

GT2 B - spoiler alert , no luck for me this time and went twice in both i ended in P9 , tried both strategies but same result not sure if RCZ doesn't like Interlagos or it's me lol , qualifications i had horrible times but races were okay , rather meh result for me

still it only counts the 2 best rounds so it doesn't matter for me , hopefully you will have a better luck than me , good luck out there :D

Hmm, I think I'll no-stop on har...

... and I'm in the wall. Dragged myself back to 9th after being murdered on lap one by THREE cars through turns two and three, one just aiming at the T2 apex while I'm there and the other two into the back of me while I'm recovering the half-spin.

Y'all bitches need radar. Or eyes.

it’s the best 3 rounds for the final result

Not a lot to say about my Chevrolet race on the 2nd account. Started P8, ran in that spot for most of the race, finished P6. Just didn’t have the pace in the Corvette today (better tyre wear than the 458 though). The word is out about no-stopping, only 2 or 3 people tried anything different and it didn’t work for any of them.

52 points which counts for me and gives me a season total of 163. @OJBrit you win our little contest without having to run. Not sure if my total will get me into the Chevy top 10 for some bonus silver credits.

I’m a glutton for punishment. Despite hating Interlagos, I went again in slot 3 and got murdered again. This time at the right hand hairpin on lap 1. Guy just drove straight into the side of me and used me to get around the turn. This is an all A+ lobby by the way. Just no sense of shame.

Have I mentioned I hate Interlagos? It encourages these ridiculous dives and punts because there’s nowhere to overtake and the slow turns are set up to make the car in front vulnerable every time.

Can we nuke the place out of existence? Hate, hate, hate!

Nailed the strat and had a great race!

Qualified 7th with a 31.1 which was probably best I could have got. Went with the H/S strat.

IMG_8756.jpeg

First lap I lost two places as I had to avoid a car in front getting out of shape out of the senna s, so was in 9th starting lap 2. Made the places back soon after and then picked off another two to get into 5th. I was obviously now leading the hard runners as cars in front had a huge gap so were on Softs. I was leading the race by lap 12. I came in lap 17 and rejoined in 8th, 8 seconds behind the car in front and 26 seconds behind the leading car.

Caught and passed everyone in front but leader was too far ahead. 2nd place for my highest ever points haul of 231!

Ran again, got punted again (T2, T3, and T4) but managed to keep it out of the wall this time. Followed a no-stop-hards Ferrari all race long who was a two-tenths quicker through the second sector, and also got passed late-race by a soft-to-hard McLaren who outqualified everyone by 0.5s. Ended third.

With 115 or so points. Which is enough to shove me up into at least silver reward-land for main area, secondary area, and I think for manufacturer too... from my only race this season 🤷‍♂️

Ugh, another disaster race for me today. This one was all my fault so I can't blame anyone else. I had the #4 door and was in a lobby with @mobilmasher which was cool. I have a terrible qualifying session and start P11. So I start on the hard tires and plan on pitting end of lap 5 for medium tires as I was too rough with the soft tires in my practice sessions. I manage to gain 2 seconds in off track penalties and it's race over for me before it starts. Don't run wide at turn 6 and rejoin before turn 8 as that's bad. I then murder a driver as they were on the brakes eariter than expected entering turn 12 and I send them to the shadow realm. I slowed down to let them by but they reset so off I went. I finish P11 after running the whole race basically by myself. My only highlight was a impromptu drift session while saving the car from a spin. Not a good day for me overall, whatever it happens. I'll share my thoughts on everything that happened this season once I get my final results and my payout.

Wait, there is 10 more laps for GT1 group!? How did I not know that? That's why I was scratching my head with all these 20 laps comments 😅

I just hate hards in this game. Sometimes, I just wanna run whole race on softs and have a good time instead of maybe a better strategy but feeling like **** for half an hour.

IDK what to do. Is 2 stops viable at all?

That's a relief. I have had such a poor couple of days that if it was a straight shootout you'd have won.

Race 1:
My best result of the day and I should have left it here but I was fishing for points.
Put it P6 on the grid. Started on hards and sorta maintained my place in the first stint as others fought behind. I pitted lap 8 for softs. I was on fire after that chasing everyone down. I made it up to P5 and as I went to overtake the NSX in front they did this.

A couple of cars overtook me but I managed to get them and close back in on the NSX but the laps ran out. So P5 when I should have had P4. I should have ended here but the 49 points was not beating my total and I wanted to go again.

Race 2:
A better lobby pointswise.
Only qualified P12. However I made lot of places in the first few corners due to the melee all around. However coming out of Laranja the car speared right and into the barrier. Once I had reversed back onto the track I was last. I had decided to try the no stop this time around and I made a couple of places back up doing this but at the end the tyres were not giving me what I wanted and it was a struggle letting people back past. In the end I came home P10 and an agonising 49 points again.

Race 3:
Another good qualy gave me P5 on the grid. I decided the no stop might work better from up here. Again I got a good start and was up to P4 after a couple of laps. Others on differing strats got past or who were simply much quicker on hards. Some I let past others just shove it into Juncao! Coming out of the Senna S the car once again just spears right. I cannot recover from this and with my failing hards I limp across the line P10. 42 or something points this time. Urgh!.

I break for some shopping and lunch. Hopefully the afternoon will be better.

Race 4:
P11 on the grid. I made up some positions before a spin through Ferradura. To top it off after some robust moves I wasn't happy with a Belgian Supra and went for revenge. I almost span and got 3 seconds to boot. I decided to pit for mediums to see if I could make up any positions late race. Nope. Finished P12. Very stupid from me.

Race 5:
Again P11 and I had now fully abandoned the no stop. It doesn't work with this car. The understeer and lack of brakes after lap 15 mean you haemorrhage positions.
Again I make loads of positions due to carnage on lap 1. I am P6! However an Austrian is causing some chaos catches me back up. He divebombs me into Juncao forcing me wide and allowing some others past. I come in on lap 6 for some mediums. I am able to work my way back up into the top ten and catch up with my Austrian friend. I manage to pass them with no issues and begin to pull away. (They must be on hards now) I close in on a Fin in a Supra. They defend hard and before I can pass those behind catch me and I am passed again barged aside. A Beetle also gets past. I am hoping all 3 combust as the potential was there. It sorta happened. The Supra defends too much and is thrown out of the way by the VW. The Austrian makes a mistake in Ferradura and I go to pass. However they aim for me and crash into me. Over the next couple of laps I catch back up and by now I am fed up. The oppertunity arrives lap 19 at Laranja. I press their rear quarter and around they go. They just pushed me too much with some stupid careless driving. By now it was too late to catch those ahead and I came home P12 again for my average today of 49. If the Supra worked with me and let me by and followed we could have caught the group just ahead. Instead they defended P10 and caused both of us to be hit from the chasing pack, ruining both races.

I decided to call it now. I tried to increase my DR yesterday only for several bad and dirty races knocking my DR dead leaving me just in DR B at the start of the day. Over the day I only gained once and now with the last result I have been fully thrown kicking and screaming back into DR C! Hopefully the next few weeks of dailies are good and I can claw back up to B.

Alrighty, love when a plan actually works out,lol,plan?...what plan?..i was going to Qualify with hards and start near the back to avoid all the first corner carnage, and i thought ,no,i'll run softs and see what happens, i can always run another race if things don't work out. Brilliant decision ,i end up on the pole(surprised),throw the hards on for the race,i get passed by all the soft tire guys fairly quick.
Settled in the 5th spot for a few laps, then 6th.
Around lap 10 all the soft tire guys pitted together,i'm back in first with about a 6-7 seconds lead, held on and won by 3 seconds(GT2),woot woot!

Edit: So i managed to move up the 1 spot i needed and got 3.6 million instead of 2.9 :)

Ah gutting. I hate how this game tempts you into running more slots than you should. I’ve done that a few times where I got good points but knew I could do better but then end up with less.

As for the NSX crash, at first glance I could say it was a misjudgement, but the onboard view they just steered into you. Had a similar thing in my race. If it’s error I can live that, but when it’s deliberate it’s just down right dirty.

Good luck in gaining your DR back to B 💪🏻💪🏻

Hi guys, first attempt at this ever. Why can't I pick a time to enter the race at Interlagos? It says it's on today but I can't seem to join

The last one for Europe already took place.

Biggest points haul for me this season!

I was happy to be in a high-points lobby despite this week's Daily Race C at Watkins Glen dropping me from 72% DR-B to 49% DR-B. The winner took 104 points.

I botched both the qualifying laps and started 10th.

At the race start, I took the inside line at T1, costing me a position but I did not get rear-ended! The race was pretty uneventful except for one incident. Ran on hards from start to end, placing me as high as 2nd, making 2nd and 3rd guy work on overtaking me. Finished only 7 second behind the winner as most folks, including the winner, picked an inferior pit strategy.
IMG_7391.JPG

The only incident was this 15 sec video. I had thrown a dummy to him before the turn (included in the video), but not sure if he fell for it or was already planning to occupy the inside line. But I thought, maybe this guy is not blind if he responded to the dummy. But alas, he was definitely blind. :D

At least, post-race conversation revealed me that he did not blame me.

Holy **** I got not only gold but FIRST in Main and Secondary areas, but only bronze (24th) for Manufacturer and Regional:

1.9m credits for ONE 45-MINUTE RACE

I had probably my most embarrassing race on the game today. Picked the '18 Ford GT, qualified okay in mid-pack, then drifted too wide going into lap 1 turn 1, put two wheels on the grass strip on the outside and spun it into the vast run off. Last by miles by the time I got to turn 4, at that point I one-stopped just so I'd have fun lapping on the softs instead of having to run the hards for 20 laps. Came 12th, 35 seconds down, which was the last non-DNF.

I'm just glad it was the last race of the season, it would have been a big demotivator for continuing otherwise.

@OJBrit I’m sure you’ll be back up to B in no time.

Final standings - Chevy top 10! Silver bonus.

@Famine not sure how they calculate the secondary & main rankings or if it’s bugged but I also came 1st for those - on my 2 separate accounts that use the exact same area.

I think that might have been me in the GTR...

Very well driven, I'm not sure I've been in a better race or had to concentrate as hard since I started online racing!

I'd actually done a shed load of practice for this, I'd done a lot of lobby races and race length runs to determine strategy , and decided that if I qualified at the sharp end to go RS for 11 laps then RH, if I qualified in the pack then no-stop RH, which was the quickest strategy in trials (albeit by 7s over 20 laps!) I was doing 1:31 on RS in free practice so was confident of a good qualifying session, that didn't happen and I ended up Q10. Oops. I made up a few places in the first 2 laps to end up P5, and you can read the rest above!

II'll echo the above and say it was a fantastic series and bring on the next one.
