Manufacturer Round 2 - Jaguar F-type Gr.4 - GT2 12:00pm slot

Qualified P10, but I was really annoyed with it because I got the first hairpin completely wrong and cost myself maybe half a second.

Started on mediums, dropped a couple of places to soft runners, and pitted lap 1 from P13 for softs to get out of traffic. That turned out to be a mistake, as by lap 8 it was clear I wasn't getting my front left to the end. I decided to make a second stop for softs on lap 10, which I think was the correct decision given my tyre situation, the pit lane loss at Deep Forest wasn't that long and I was absolutely going to crash in the infield somewhere if I didn't pit. Fought my way back through the stragglers and incidents at the back to P9.

It's a fun combination from lap 2 onwards, but going into turn 1 on lap 1 here is Monza levels of unfun starts.

2pm UK DR B - 124 points for the win. 119

Quali - not a bad quali, P4 with a 1.33.2. Did a 1.32.8 on my 2nd lap but I just cut the corner slightly.

Race - softs to start with. Had a good launch and was 1 second ahead going into the hairpin. I take it easy as I race the cars ahead of me fairly like full damage is on, the cars behind though different story. P5 just avoided my rear somehow. I get a bad exit due to avoid action and this allows the others to close up. Next corner the car behind just pushes to pass. Hardly braked and used me. And the next lap at the hairpin same thing again happens. I was briefly P7 but P2-P6 just decided the best way to settle everything was to just hit each other. Awful driving standards. Lap 3 I manage to make a great double overtake on P3 & P2. Now it was time to run! Managed to gap the idiots by 8 seconds. They I could see in the mirrors and on the delta the next 3/4 cars were just hitting each other. So my strategy ended up being 14 laps on the soft and 2 on the medium. I was doing consistent 1.34s up to lap 14 but also I wanted to go long to try and avoid the pack of cars that were fighting. I exit the pits 4 seconds aheads of P3, and bring brought it home for P2. 119 points, I’ll take that.

Have to say excluding the idiots, that was a fairly enjoyable race as it looks like everyone had different strategies and different tyre wear. Manufacturers hands down the best online racing experience for me on GT7. The mix of manus just makes the racing fun. Dailies that would have one make car race (I.e the car that save the tyres longest).

Got the tricky Gr3 car to lean now 🤣

Did 2 races, GT3 League in the 650s. Q2 to P3 on the first one, Q7 to P2 on the second one (pitted lap 1 for RS). 47 points but I don't really care because I'm only doing this one race in the Manu cup.

More important than that, I am now DR B on my main account.

It's a fun race. But I think I'm done for the day. Also, used a dashboard on my tablet. I set it up so that it flashes when I need to shift since you need to shift early in the 650s. It helps, I don't have to look for the rpm to know when to shift.

Well that could have gone a lot better.
Surprised myself with a P8 grid slot. 2nd in a little group of Caymans in the middle of the grid.
Lap 1 and I muck up my braking for the hairpin. Thankfully a gap appears in the cars going around and I aim for it and thankfully I slip through without hitting anyone.

The Cayman behind also mucked up their braking but hit the McLaren squarely. Both survived but the Cayman had a 2 second penalty from it. I went wide but slipped back in just behind the now penalty acquired Cayman. I get the run on them and into the 2nd tunnel they turn into me upsetting the car. I hold it but loose a place and run wide into the corner at the bottom of the hill. The car is obviously complaining and it decides to tankslap in the esses up the hill and round I go.
DFL and I just try to get my head down. I pit lap 5 and eventually I catch 2 other Caymans but only beat 1 to the line to finish P15.
Not my combo.

Ran the 11AM EDT GT2 slot in NA. All-B lobby, including @Talon16 , though I didn't realize it at the time. Door #6. Driving the VW Scirocco. 136 points up for grabs.

Qualified Q2 with a time of 1:33.000 even, a half-second behind @Talon16.

Started on RS tires, with the plan of running a 10RS-6RM strategy. The race turned out to be pretty uneventful, at least until the very end.

I survived the first pass through the hairpin, keeping P2, with a bit of space on either end of me.

I was was able to keep up with @Talon16 for a while, but never got close enough to challenge him. By lap 6, I was starting to be affected by tire wear and the gap ahead grew. Thankfully, the gap behind had also been growing. I decided to pit on lap 9, one earlier than planned, as I was already seeing time 1.4s off my best lap. The P3 car also came in that lap, 8 seconds behind me.

I came out in P5 or P6, behind a few soft-runners who hadn't pitted yet. @Talon16 went in to the pits a few laps later and emerged about a second ahead. I had a few bungled laps after that and lost @Talon16 , while the P3 car closed the gap behind.

Being the tire-eater that the Scrirocco is, by the last lap, I was again losing time to tire wear. The P3 car had closed the gap to 1.6 seconds and was steadily gaining. @Talon16 had disappeared 5.7s ahead. There was no way I was going to catch him.

Coming around the final corner, though, I found @Talon16 still on the track and just puttering up to the finish line with his hazards on.

I couldn't understand why, at the time. Actually, I still don't. But I didn't question it and zipped past him for a P1 finish and 136 points.

This is the best result I could hope for today. Not going to go for another try.

The 10 am CDT room was a full D/S room, with 17 points up for the win, and me wearing door #2. As my plan was to start on mediums, and it's my general policy, I didn't take a time in qualifying. I was the only one to not do so, and had my practice lap of 1:34.7 held up, I would have rolled off 2nd as the pole time was 1:34.5, set by someone in a Megane Gr.4.

There wasn't as much early carnage as I would have thought and most of the back of the field was on soft tires, so I was still at the back of the pack on lap 2, when I decided to come down for a clean track. Had I remembered it was a 16-lap race instead of an 18-lap one, I would have came down on lap 1.

I didn't have quite the speed or consistency I did in practice. When I did manage to hit my marks, my fast lap was merely a 1:35.3. I did have the track to myself until lap 6, when I caught one of the backmarkers in a Genesis who had a massive crash on the previous lap. He also got the turn after the first set of tunnels wrong, which allowed me an easy pass for 15th.

The first cars to pit after me came down at the end of lap 6 - 7th (a Ferrari who had been on mediums), 8th (a McLaren on softs) and 10th (a Nissan on softs). The Nissan forgot to change tires, so he came out ahead of the McLaren. I got the left-hander after pit-exit all sorts of wrong, so the Ferrari got back past, and he slowly but surely checked out on me. Still, that round of stops got me to 13th when things settled down.

On lap 7, another McLaren came down for mediums out of 6th, a Ferrari came down for softs out of 8th, a Megane Gr.4 came down for mediums out of 9th, and the Nissan that did a stop-and-go on lap 6 came down for mediums out of 14th. My early-pit strategy was still going rather well, as I made it to 10th after that set of stops.

On lap 8, an Aston Martin came down for mediums out of 3rd, a BMW came down for mediums out of 4th, and a Honda felt too much pressure in the last turn and gave up 8th. I wasn't close enough to take advantage of any of that until the Honda cooked it in the hairpin going into the first set of tunnels the following lap, allowing me to get 9th. He further cooked it in the esses to take the pressure off me.

At the end of lap 9, the Subaru came down out of 6th for softs, giving me another spot. I quickly caught up to the BMW, but couldn't get by for 7th until the second tunnel on lap 11. He also got the esses wrong to quickly take the pressure off me.

On lap 12, the lead Megane Gr.4 (who was also the pole-sitter) gave up a comfortable lead (11 seconds on 2nd and 37 on me) for mediums and the other Corvette in the race gave up 3rd for mediums (his front tires were shredded). The following lap, the Aston did a bold, clean move to get by a McLaren on worn softs coming out of the first set of tunnels for 3rd.

A VW started the last lap in 1st, 8 seconds ahead of the lead Megane Gr.4. However, he never came off his medium tires. Meanwhile, I was starting to catch that McLaren I just mentioned for 5th on the track, who never came off of softs. The no-stop VW crossed the line first at 25:55 mark, but because he didn't stop, he picked up a 1-minute penalty. The declared winner, the pole-sitting Megane Gr.4, crossed at 26:02, with the Aston 6 seconds back and the lead Ferrari 9 seconds back. I didn't quite catch the no-stop McLaren on the track, but after the two no-stoppers served their penalties, I finished 4th, 13 seconds behind the official winner.

I had nothing for the podium, and I doubt I would have caught the VW had he stopped, especially since he would have had to put on softs. However, I'll gladly take the clean race, the 14 points toward the championship, and the almost-full D DR bar.

As for the tire situation, while the other Corvette barely lasted 12 laps on softs, my softs were still rather good after 14 laps, with the left-front down to about 33%. That Corvette came home 7th on-track/5th in the final classification, 9 seconds behind me. If, for some dumb reason, you're relying on me for tire wear info, take that into account.

I was pulling for you the whole time! Even as the race went on, "Come on Moose, let's go!" You were driving the wheels off that little VW and deserved to take it home. You put in a lot of effort and share you data here. That one is all you and don't let yourself think otherwise. GLad you got all the points you did and are happy with them. Hope to see you out there in the future!

On the face of it I was looking forward to today's race at Deep Forest, with a more positive outlook after Grand Valley.

Especially as the Beetle feels great on the softer tyre compounds now it's lost weight.

However, after 2 slots, I'm left wondering why I ever bothered...

Slot 1 of EMEA, and things started ok as I qualified 8th on the grid. I started on Mediums, planing a 10M/12S strategy. The race was a mess though, driving standards in GTWS seemed to have deteriorated lately in GT1, and Ive tried to overlook it, but I can't anymore.

There was no patience from anyone, and I even found myself being pushed into the wall on the run to T1 by a Porsche, who seemed to take umbrage with the fact my Beetle was out-dragging them. Naturally the resulting damage crippled me for the next 7 laps before I pitted. Only for me race to be undone 10 laps latter.

Slot 2:
My second attempt was just as frustrating. Qualified 8th, but this time everyone was very respectful and clean. However on lap 14 someone spun out of the last corner, and was ghosted across the track. Along I came with nowhere to go, just as they un-ghosted. The collision (not their fault) gave myself engine damage, virtually ending my race from P7. So out of rejection I simply parked it in the pits.

Going back to last season, that's 3 races I've had spoiled by heavy damage, and it's killing my interest in sport mode. On paper it should be a good thing to encourage more cautious driving, but the environments sport mode races create mean heavy damage is not suitable in my opinion. It's absolutely fine in organised lobby races, but not sport mode.

I'll sit out the rest of this season, as I don't want to get burnt out from GT7 completely, plus I don't have the free time these days like I used to. If heavy damage stays next season, I may have to think about a permanent Sport Mode retirement, as it's killing my enjoyment.

Anyway, enough with my rambling, hopefully others have had positive races today, and anyone else representing VW is having a better time of it

Two morning slots were to forget (EMEA, GT2, low B/S)

First one was promising as I qualified 2nd with time of 33.2.
Approached the first hairpin carefully not to hit the guy in 1st and got bombed with full force from behind.
Rejoined 13th right into the pushing/shoving bunch. Hate that kind of drives, it brings out my bad side wanting to return "favours" - futile.
Finished 12th in the end after picking up some penalties on the way.

For the second one I qualified 5th with 33.1.
No better really. My two weak points are two hairpins first and last. I tend to enter them wide to get as much speed on following straights (TT way), but it seems I am opening doors wide for diving and lunging with not intentionally malice intent for the most part but I end up being pushed wide on the exits while loosing few places. Picked up penalty for pit entry (learned the lesson) and eventually finished 8th.

For the afternoon slot I got up to speed in FP, improved my PB to 32.6 and qualified on pole with a lap of 32.9 (0.5 seconds advantage over P2). It was a 69 points lobby. In contrast to being too careful for the first hairpin I arrived too hot this time (), but luckily for me the P2 (Ukrainian Aston Martin - very quick on straights he was catching me fast after start) had also some stability problems. So I emerged out of it 1st with many cars close behind.
Aston caught me when I ran wide after sweeping left between the tunnels on lap 2 and made the pass, we traded some paint.

I managed to try the diving inside at the first hairpin, the German Porsche was right there to witness it from first row.

On lap 4 I did the first hairpin poorly and the Aston was all over my tail. Going into sweeping left hander he touched me lightly under braking that made me go wide and get passed.

My stability after that was bad and I hit the wall in the next tunnel (no penalty), but this allowed the Porsche to sneak through.

They had 1.5 sec gap on me and I considered letting them go as they were really fast. Behind me there was nice 4 sec gap.
But they weren't as flawless and started duking it out, so I bit it and reeled them slowly.

On lap 6 Porsche missed their braking point and stopped on the bridge rail beside the ambulance, easy gain to 2nd.

On lap 7 leading Aston picked up 1 sec penalty and decided to pit early. That was my cue to do some fast laps before lap 11 pit.
Mid to high 33s ensued. After the mandatory change I got out of pits nearly 3 seconds ahead of Ukrainian Aston Martin and he had a 0.5 sec penalty to serve (that's good because I botched the first hairpin again).
All was going well until I picked unnecessary 0.5 sec penalty - to spice up my last lap, let's say
The gap stayed healthy above 1 second at all times so all good. Finish line.

The win and 69 points are mine (and Ferrari's)!

Shout out to @Jump_Ace , I think you were here.

Qualifying didn't go great. I just didn't set a good time. A 1:32.879 put me starting P6. So starting the race, I knew my strategy would be 4 RM/RS to the end.

Mostly an uneventful race, though I did manage to gain 2 places before pitting for my Soft stint. I'd exit and eventually catch up to the lead group after chipping away at positions as drivers pit.

@Jump_Ace would maintain the lead until pitting for Medium tires before the final lap.

The same lap earlier I made the only move I felt I could get cleanly against the Ferrari in P2.

I overshoot the apex exiting the Tunnel Straight and lose P2 right away. I'd finish P2 after everyone had pit.

Clean Race and Fastest Lap (1:32.585). The position rewarded me 130 points, but it didn't feel like enough. My hope was that I'd get into a lobby with some A drivers next.

GT2 - B Lobby (I guess that didn't work out) worth 138 points (sightly better)

I'd have to finish P2 or higher for a better result over the previous race.

Qualifying went much better this round. I managed a 1:32.138 which placed me on Pole, half a second ahead of Q2. So, good start for now.

The race started but I got a terrible launch. For some reason, this race when lights went out I was in 1st gear (vs 2nd gear in the previous race). The Lambo in P2 easily gets ahead before the hairpin. But they would go wide exiting the first short tunnel in the middle twisty part. I take the lead back by the second short tunnel.

The Lambo went for a move on the final turn but wasn't able to make the overtake stick as I got a much better exit. But Lap 2 hairpin, they bump me at the apex and it pushes me wide on exit.

This causes me a great deal of frustration along with a 0.5 second penalty for the next lap. From there on out, I just pressured the Lambo from behind. They'd pit after Lap 7, way too early, and I'd have an uncontested race from there on out. I can't remember if I pit after Lap 13 or 14 for Medium tires, but the gap was something like 28 seconds to P2 when I entered.

So, mission accomplished! I missed out on the CRB because of my penalty, Fastest Lap was 1:32.577 remarkably consistent, I'd say. The win got me slightly more points, but I think more important is that it pushed me up to an A rank. So maybe the next two races I'll have a better chance at some high point lobbies.

Had a slightly disappointing first race (GT1 EMEA slot two), hit by a Ukranian in a Merc on my first stint on softs, rear damage... lobby was half full of A+ drivers and I grabbed 8th with 180ish points, but had good pace on the mediums so was tempted to try again in the final race...

This time no A+ drivers and I'm door one. Decent quali lap puts me 5th, surrounded by other McLarens and two Porsches up front. The Ukranian is there too but too far back to hit me this time.

Start on softs and try to avoid damage, unfortunately there's some poor driving going on ahead. Coming out of the tunnel on lap two the front running Porsche's are nose to tail, way too close and of course they touch in the braking zone. P1 goes wide and P2 slows to let him stay ahead. Unfortunately then we arrive, a charging pack of three McLaren's who were a bit too far back to see this all unfold. The second Porsche gets a shove from the car ahead, hits the barrier, pings back into my path and I hit him pretty hard...

So now my front is damaged on lap two and my soft stint is ruined again, as the pack behind closes in on lap 4 I decide that pitting is the only option, otherwise I'm going to get swamped and lose a bunch of time...

Pit for mediums and fix the damage, I exit in 12th place with a BMW on my tail. He chases me pretty hard on mediums for five or so laps before falling back. Medium pace is good and I'm up to P5 by lap 10! The BMW behind is doing me a massive favour by holding up soft runners who have pitted...

Now I'm counting down the laps as people pit, up to P2 with the BMW still 3+ secs behind, my tyres old but manageable... Then of course I cross a white line and get a 1 sec penalty... Now they are back on top of me and there's a soft runner in a McLaren closing in. Pressure is on and I consider not fighting too hard, I know 4th or above is still 200 points and that's my target...

He closes in on the last lap to under a second but thankfully never quite arrives on my tail and P2 is mine, an epic stint on mediums, sometimes you just cannot touch this game!

I did not plan to do this round due to the track choice, but a few practice laps changed my mind so I did EMEA GT1 Slot #2 and #3 today.

Slot #2 - 254 points A+ lobby, Door #10
Qualified 6th with 1:25.7. Race was a complete disaster, got shunted into the wall in Lap 2 and dropped to dead last. Front left suspension and front aero damage. Pitted at Lap 5 to switch to RS, was back up to 7th at one point but took damage again on 3 occasions (2x drivers error when low on tyres) where I was 7 mph down on main straight by Lap 18 🤣 Finished P13.

Slot #3 - 254 points A+ lobby, Door #16
I was only 1 pixel from going down to DR A after last race so no surprise I carried door #16. Quali wasn’t great as could only manage 5th with 1:25.9. My QT from slot #2 would have put me on pole.

Started on RM. The Lexus starting 6th missed his braking point entirely in Lap 1 T1 and smashed into the McLaren in 4th barely missing me. Let another McLaren from behind through as he was clearly on RS and I would like him to trouble those RS runners in front slowing them down - it worked! I was able to keep up while turning some good RM laps (mid/high 1:26’s) until I pitted on Lap 8 for RS. Only at that point I realized I had left rear suspension damage, didn’t bother to lose 3 sec to fix it as my pace was okay carrying that damage.

For the rest of the race I just focused on turning consistent laps without mistakes, with the Jag (Who got pole) in 2nd came out of the pit on RM allowed me through (Thanks man), finally took home 2nd with 243 points, the most points I have got in any GTWS races. 🙂

Manufacture’s Cup, Round 2, Deep Forrest Reverse

Race 1 EMEA Server

Running the Pink Panther themed VW Scirocco on RM tires which I pulled out a 9th for qualifying.

This race started out good, no big issues as everyone made it through turn 1 without going off. For me everything went fine the entire race with no major issues just hung around the middle of the field for the entire race. I was not fond of this reverse track and had some big reservations about the car but eventually found a good groove with the track and the car performed quite well.

Finished P9, 5 points but with no DR change and CRB.



Race 2 NA Server

Running the Thrustmaster Hyundai Genesis on RM tires I pulled out a 14th for qualifying.

Back to the home server and a chance to possibly do better than my first race in the EMEA region. So lap 1 proved to me that was not in the cards today. Somewhere after turn 6 (?) during the uphill climb before the S turns TCS 0 and I had a disagreement. After backing out of the wall (luckily I did not hit) it was not even 50 feet down the track where we had another disagreement. This had me going to TCS 1 for a few laps until I felt it was time to go back (my calmness had returned).

Today the races were very fair AND the racing actually was really good. I did not see any big driving issues from others. Good job to all in my races.

Finished P13, 3 points but with a DR decrease and another CRB.

First slot GT1. Lobby 192pts, I was door 5. But an average qualifier lap had me at just Q10, so fast group.

I was a bit anxious about this, the danger spots are capital 'D' Danger. Breathed a little easier getting through lap 1 undamaged. Up to P8 or 7(?) and then it happens on lap 4. Rear-ended on the final corner, sent into the grass. Luckily had enough braking force to avoid going into the wall, but now aero damage and down to P12.

Keep that position and pit a lap earlier than planning, so I did 9M13S.

(@A_Higher_Place - I had maybe 10% white left at the end, I ran some custom races with 8M14S, doable but sketchy. I'm also on controller, so wheels could likely do better.)

One thing I learned running custom races is that you can easily overdrive this track with worn tires and go into a wall. Also, the Audi loves to move sideways!

I push but stay within my limits and I pick up a couple more places from drivers who maybe didn't practice on worn tires

Finish P8. Eh. Maybe could have done better, but doubt I go again because it could also be a lot worse.

GT1 North America Server

Qualified 2nd with a 1:35.7 in the Audi, one tenth from pole.

We got through the hairpin cleanly although 3rd and back lost some time fighting there. I took the lead on lap 2 and pulled a bit of a gap but couldn't pull away.

Then on lap 5 I lost it under braking and hit the wall in the left-turrn tunnel. I hardly lost time but picked up damage and decided to pit for mediums from the lead.

I thought that had cost me the win but I don't think so. There were some guys with good race pace that got around me after the pit stops.

I came home fifth, 11s off the lead, for 171 points. My mistake cost me a podium for sure but I don't think I could've held on for the win even without my problems.

Decent result.

Totally forgot, that today is raceday Was too late for my main (second race I didn't take part in) but had time for my alt account. No practice though.

1. Race, Door #1. Quali P9 with a 1.34:5xx finished P8.

2. Race, Door #15 , Quali P1 with 1.32:7xx and finished P1.

My streak continues, High door number = bad race, Low door number = good race 😅

Practice on Friday came in handy for today! My first Win for a while and for a DR:A/SR:S GT1 Lobby I'm very pleased to walk away with 161 Points! 😁🏁🏆 I entered the first race at 14:00 and was happy to only do the one needed.

Qualified P2 and was pipped by 0:091's for Pole which I was gutted for as I was up throughout my last lap in Qualy and the last sector I just didn't have it in the purple sadly! Banged in a 1:26:087
Still was very chuffed to 2nd on the grid. Race started off well and and kept it conservative through Turn 2 until a couple laps In where I lunged into Turn 2 with enough space to get the move comfortably finished.

I started on the Soft Tyre and went through to Lap 16 on it. The tyre held up very nicely and wasn't a struggle at all. Averaging Mid 1:26's. The rest of the field pitted far earlier so I'm assuming their cars must have eaten through their tyres far more than I did. Pace on Mediums was also good in the Mid to Low 1:27's.

It was nice to be able to fully push on the tyres and the car and feel in such a great rhythm and it brought me back to the GT Sport days of feeling a bit more dominant! Hopefully I have some time Wednesday to practice.

Amen to that. I did the same thing. It's not my problem that I have a family and a life outside of GT7 - it's true insanity that they're leaning to a format that punishes casual people that are a bit faster than average with.. not being able to play the game they enjoy.

Race 1 in slot 1 (EST) was a meh race. I qualified 6th with the number 5 stickered to me so I was near where expected. However, between two silly 1s penalties and getting bumped around I fell to 9th by the end.

Race two in slot 2 was far better. Had the number 8 stickered to me but put it on pole for the race. Racer behind me was in the Porsche and just had the legs on me. I managed to stay ahead until lap 11 or so but they got me on track. I pit a couple of laps before him and managed to stay between 2.5s and 3.5s behind them but just couldn't close in on them.

P3 was some 11s back after the pit stop so I just had to keep it smooth to finished P2 for 175 points.

Our race had a split grid with half of them glitches before the countdown and stuck behind the last corner.

First race (NA Slot 1, GT1). Door #11, 167 points for a win. Doesnt go well…

Starts with someone fighting me during quali, run a 1:26.8, not bad but well off my best practice time. His fighting with me ruined the next lap so I parked and settled for 5th. Decided to start on medium.

Heading into T1 someone flies by on the inside of the left sweep a which distracted me and I flat out missed the braking point, plowing into a ford GT in front of me. Front bumper and both from wheels damaged plus a very much deserved 2 second penalty.

After serving the penalty I’m in 11th. I’ve got pace to pass guys in front of me, but the top speed loss keeps be from getting there. I pit on lap 7, take my softs + 8 seconds of damage repair. From there I keep on it and manage to get up to 7th with pit stops and a couple of “clean but aggressive” passes. 125 points, but at least recovered to get positive DR.

Not satisfied with that, my wife tells me to go again, so I go for it. And wow, so much better!

Race 2, second NA slot, door 14. 168 points for the win, a lot of the same drivers.

Clean qualifying got me a 1:26.2, better than my best practice, good for 2nd. Leader was a solid half second quicker. Start on softs this time.

Nice clean start, drop to 3rd. Hang on 2nd until lap 3 where I get a run out f the hairpin and pass him coming out of the tunnel. Turned out he was on mediums, so I pulled away from there. The rest of the race was nice and lonely, pitting on lap 15 for mediums, came out 10 seconds ahead of 3rd, so I just cruise around to the end.

2nd place, 160 points, clean race… a little more like how I drew it up 👍.

GT1 drivers, how long are you RS tyres lasting roughly?

10-14 laps. Running them till about 80% seems to be a rough crossover point.

P2 in slot 2 for 310 points!

Slot 1 was one to forget. Matched with @Geauxgreddy once again. I actually qualified pretty well and had a decent ISH first stint, but right after coming out of the pits I got caught up in the aftermath of a divebomb ahead and got a penalty and damage. That was race over, I was just cruising around and letting people by with the intention of finishing the race with 99SR for slot 2.

Slot 2 was pretty good. Got to see my pal @GTWolverine in his usual (but terrible these days) Corvette.
I qualified even better this slot (Q2) and decided to gamble on Softs to start. I overtook Sanchez, who by the way is a super clean driver! A pleasure to race with him.
Once I had the lead I did open up a gap, but not quite enough. I pitted L16 and came out with only about 2s of a lead, so he quickly caught me back up and ran away with a very much deserved win. I'm super happy with this result and glad I gave slot 2 a chance 😅

I see a few people are racing in GT2 for better time slots… I’ve been able to hop back onto my NA account in GT1 after a long time away and have been pleasantly surprised by how stable the lobbies have been.
Today’s race was a lot of chasing the rabbit for me. I was bumped into the wall on lap one and decided to chance a 2 stop for repairs knowing others would likely find trouble too and tough it out. I pushed the softs for as long as I could in the Lambo and came away with a nice p8.

Slot 1
Another race with @Spider-Racer and once again, he put in a gem of a qualy. So, I could see him wayyyyy up there! Just toss me some crumbs, Spidey. Thats all I need. LOL. I was in Q6 and I think @Spider-Racer was in Q2? Race started and I was attacked from the go. Ended up on my back foot on the Mediums because I couldn't complete a practice race over the last couple days without detrminental damage. So, I was just too timid on the RMs. That caused me to fall all the way back to p11.

Luckily for me, folks were being aggresive and that gave me two spots. @Spider-Racer came into my sights on lap 9 or 10 after the Porsche in front of him sent it from WAY back and caused a bit of a kurfuffle. Others pain was my gain, as I took one spot from the Nissan, then another from @Spider-Racer due to a 3 second penalty and damage. THEN I took one more spot in an epic Greddy Pass after the Porsche driver took himself out. lol.

I was able to take back one final spot on a real life racing driver pass and found myself finishing in P7. While not an epic finish, it was a FINISH! Without damage or penalties. 255 points and my PSR (for you naked and afraid fans) went up!
