Grand Valley in the year 3041

Hahahaha for a company that supposedly is milking players with micro transactions they really play a crappy game when it comes to monetizing DLC we would gladly pay for.
PD have a great track record when it comes to supporting its games post launch and most of it is free, a lot of racing games charge for DLC from pre order stage, I think some people just like to moan for the sake of moaning, you have to give credit where it is due.

As for the track, it will be weird seeing Grand Valley with its new setting but I'm all open for change, might make it feel like a totally new track but keep a great GT original track layout in the franchise.

I'm excited to see this circuit hit the game. Grand Valley is possibly my favourite of the OG circuits, so having it come back with a nice California Valley sheen over it is very welcome.

I just wish they could do like a 20km point-to-point cruising course. Like PCars2 has, or the LA Canyons mod for Assetto Corsa.

People grasping at straws to hate on something, as per usual.

I don’t think they actually care about the point they’re making, they just want something to be mad about whether it’s made up or not.

This is so accurate.

Moment of silence for those who think the Grand Valley isn't a grand valley.

I remember driving the California PTP courses on PCars 2 and thinking, “this would be an awesome track for Gran Turismo…”

While this isn’t a PTP track, it still looks like it’ll be the most entertaining track PD has released for a long while. More tracks perfect for road cars is never unwelcome in my books…

Oh it's Grand Valley alright. Even has the East section by the looks of it (maybe that's the 'South' layout now?)
Seems like the final straight may be longer now, and goes over another bridge which then enters you into the tunnel below:

So overall it seems like:
Grand Valley Speedway = Grand Valley Highway-1
Grand Valley East = Grand Valley South layout
The math checks out too I think. If the 'south' layout is 1 mile according to the website, and the original full Speedway is 3, that sounds about right.
That bottom picture. Start/finish? If so, not Grand Valley Speedway. There is no tunnel running onto the start/finish.

Crying laughing at people genuinely saying they have "emotional hurt" and "discomfort" at the new art direction of the track. Absolutely bewildering - there's a whole world outside your front door I recommend you check on every now and then. It might do you some good.

If you want everything to look like the PS2 games you grew up with, go and play the PS2 games. They're still there. The rest of us will enjoy a beautifully done rendition of an iconic track.

Ugh, I am SO stoked for this. So stoked that I decided to post about it- my first pots in probably years.

Happy to see the original layout is mostly there and I cannot wait to see the changes they made. At first I didn't like the original changes to Deep Forest and Trial Mountain, but they have grown on me as they really do make sense and make the course much more competitive and understandable from the racing perspective.

It looks like they did the opposite with Grand Valley, making it a more scenic-road type track while incorporating all of the elements we know and love. I'm very excited to try it out and very interested in the "South" section!

Also, you bet your nuggets I'm stoked about getting my PSVR2 this week.. heeeeeellll yeahhhhh. Motion sickness here we come!

That is so much better than the origianl. The graphics look so real and clear you can even experience the feel of the track!! The good thing is there should be another new CE for us to try here.

Wonder if people reacted the same way to the High Speed Ring remake in GT4…

Nice that there is a new track. Certainly looks pretty.

..but I'm also in the camp that it doesn't really capture the vibe of the original. Which, to me, was like a grand race track. Wide, fast track. All the big grand stands. This is obviously more of a two-lane public road conversion, which.. I don't think have made for very good tracks in this? At least because it's not based on a real circuit. Where as if they added Long Beach, that'd be great for example.

I'll that say I'm down for them to add public roads like this.. But then remove all the guard rails, sponsor banners, and crowds etc that try to make it look like a race track.

Eh, I would say no because High Speed Ring looks just like it did back then. Super generic, plain, simple.. No real identity to it.

Speak for yourself, Sardegna and St Croix are great circuits once you learn them and get the flow of the circuits.
I was talking about how both tracks sucks at conveying that you're supposed to be racing on public roads, not about layout and circuit mastery.

Maybe pay more attention to what you're replying to?

Like for ****s sake, the very first thing I said in my previous comment is that I'm glad that the layout of Grand Valley is returning, finally.

I just don't like what they did to the areas surrounding it.

Lies. Outside is not real.

Me on my beanbag chair in front of my 4K TV waiting for my VR2 headset is real.

Grand Valley looks amazing!

Sophy! PSVR2!

Citroen DS! Porsche 911 Carrera RS! Honda RA272! And the Italdesign VGTs are so weird but quintessentially Italdesign.

Though I’m still on PS4, this is shaping up to be a smash hit update.

ah yes.. would these would be the same ungrateful cretins that complain about their daily free gift "not being good enough for them" for driving a measly 41km...?? 🤣

The bridge! The beach! The tunnel! (there is a tunnel, yeah?) What I've seen looks stunning, looking forward to slowly driving a Mini around it tonight!

Bring on more of these stunningly picturesque original circuits! Autumn Ring in Yellowstone? Mid-Field by the Dolomites? Tahiti? I dunno what's next but the environment team are knocking it out of the park!

I cant believe it I actually forgot Tahiti!!

Tahiti road course needs to comeback.

Overtime GT has all these great locations it would be a dream come true if they all came back.

I am one from the days of experiencing GT1 when it first came out. Personally I am not against PD "modernising" the OG track/s for this gen of consoles. I am holding off at looking at too many pics and vids of GV so I can enjoy this reimagined classic for the "first" time again. I have also enjoyed what PD have done with iterations of the other "new" classics as well. This is what appears to be an amazing update and I for one am excited to get home this evening and crack on! Let's goooo!!!

Tahiti Maze was awesome, too, I vividly remember the switchbacks, and the license test with the 206 Rally Car.

Smokey Mountain, one day, I hope! The rally physics aren’t great - I can’t speak to their accuracy, but many have said it’s pretty poor in that regard. I don’t mind them, but it is definitely very slippery. Hopefully, in GT8, the dirt physics will be improved.

I get why it's called Grand Valley.
Because to see it best you need a PS5 and a PSVR2 which will cost you about... a grand! 😂

More seriously, I still haven't bought GT7 yet, but I think this is probably the update that "seals the deal" PROVIDING THEY INCLUDE MORE THAN ONE RACE ON EACH LAYOUT IN THIS UPDATE.
