hey i got a 492hp integra type R but it is too powerful and wears out the tires after 1 lap. i just want to know your best ff cars and your setups(traction control, spring setup, etc.) im looking to win the professional ff challenge but the ITR wont go more than 6 laps without me pitting. what can i do and is there any other ff car setup that will work to win the races.

You do have a car that will win that series. as well as a few other races. First thing you have to do is get new tires. Run with super slicks on the front and softer tires on the rear. they'll wear evenly all four tires.

The other thing to do is lighten up on the throttle. Try to brake earlier, and not slam the throttle back on.

It's tough to learn, but steer with the left toggle, and gas/brake with the other. You'll shave 3-4 seconds once you're good at it.

Best of luck,
Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest that you buy the hardest tyres you could buy. They won't have as much grip, but they'll last at least 20 laps.

The Spoon Civic is coo so is the Xzara (I wanted the saxo though) but my favorite has to be The Alfa 156. I just love that car its just sooo underated

Welcome to the forums. I agree with Der Alta, you should be able to win this series with an Integra. It sounds like your tires are too soft. Are you using racing tires? What kind?

Anyway, have you also put in a racing trans or other drivetrain upgrades and know how to adjust the gear ratios? That makes a huge difference, in my opinion. I don't know if you're doing this, but I think a lot of people go for the HP-boosting upgrades and neglect those to the drivetrain.

Anyway, here's an easy way to set up the gears, if you don't know. Before you start a race, take the car out and qualify, paying attention to what gear the car's in at the longest stright and how close to the redline. A general rule is to have the car at or around the redline (depending on where the car's peak power is) in top gear shortly before you begin breaking after the longest straight. Make sense?

You can use the auto setting for this. If you're not hitting the limit on a track, shorten the gears (moving the auto setting to the left), and so on. So, for the Test Course, you should have that setting pretty far to the right (wide). At Monaco/Cote D'Azure, it's going to be pretty far to the left.

Hope this helps/

Or a spoon Civic type-R!

Yea, the spoon civic is..but the only way to get this is to finish the pro ff series..and when your done w/ that u will have no use for the spoon.

more horsepower, but an experienced driver (including you GVX) will get better lap times with the Citroen Xsara Rally Car.

Example:

Complex String - 4'23'940
SSR11 - 1'55'537

Try getting those with an Integra. ;)

hell yeah the xsara rally car. i know it aint the best in the game overall but i love it n its great for the ff probably the best. u can win it on one of the rally races cant recall which one though have a look at the prize list

daz :D

The Xara is the best u can buy/win (350,000)

But the best is the Spoon Civic type R, the only problem is u have to win the Pro Series FF to get it. So when u win it, u have no use for it! :P

Dont race anything else but the spoon Civic. Bad ass car, light and lots of nice power. One of my favorites in GT 2 and i still love it .

I won Pro FF with the Integra. Tried the Xsara, but couldn't really gel with it. Oh well, horses for courses and all that...

i had the same dilemma. i had a 495hp ITR that handled like crap and i had to use the xsara rally car to win pro ff. its true what jbschumacher said. the times you can get with the ITr arent close to the xsara b/c of the handling the xsara has.
