Seems like more information coming later. Also, looks like Formula X from pCARS is here too, the open wheel at start of the clip looks like it:

This trailer was posted minutes ago:

Regardless of "realism", GRID gets the ambience right. Racing is smoke, dust, contact, sparks flying, parts falling apart, and cars bleeding. I prefer this over the real parade simulator. (And I will also check the optimized AC Competizione.)

Seeing as the 'Electric' category is represented by the Tushek TS 900, hybrids will benefit from the same features as BEV cars, such as the boost feature?

Ok so this game looks better the more I see of it however the jumps in non-stadium truck races I'm a bit put off by, still dabble in Grid 2019 when I have some spare time so I see a lot of good things improved on there like the addition of drifting and story mode

For me there is only one problem left with GRID LEGENDS… and it is release date. I have absolutely no room to fit it between Horizon Forbidden West and GT7, and there is also ACC for next gen released. I need to wait with this game.

Yep that is an issue for some people myself included. I will get this some time later on this year when it is on sale

It is a brave/stupid move releasing that close to GT7 in my opinion. A lot of people on Playstation that have to decide between this and GT7 will choose GT7. The Hype is real.

I have Grid legends on preorder. I will post my extensive impressions of this game in this topic.

Really a pretty bad time for release on the PS side but I guess they think just having majority Xbox and PC side might be enough for the game.

Would be great if they release it earlier, starting to get bored with FH5 these days and could use a new racing game now.

I think for me the race creator will probably be where I spend most of my time
They call it a “race creator“ but from what I’ve seen so far that’s just a glorified name for what other games call custom races. Pick your track, TOD, weather, car classes, event settings, number of laps etc.

You're right. But they have to make it sound really nice to get our attention

Return??
Silverstone
Indy
Red Bull Ring

I’m actually quite impressed by the track list tbh. Compared to GRID 2019 (and all its DLC) the only locations possibly missing are indeed Silverstone, Red Bull Ring and Indianapolis. But we already have 7 new ones announced :

  • 4 new city locations : Chicago, Dubai, Moskow and London
  • 2 new fantasy circuits: Strada Alpina & Yokohama Docks
  • 1 new real life circuit : Mount Panorama

From the little footage I’ve seen, the gameplay on Alpina, Yokohama, Chicago and Moskow looked like great fun. For Dubai I only saw the promo screenshot but it looks great as well. I was less impressed with London and I’m neutral on Mount Panorama since i already raced on it in many other games. But I’m still curious how it will feel on a more arcade game like GRID Legends.

One thing that especially excites me about GRID Legends is that ALL 5 of the city locations from GRID 2019 return (Barcelona, Havana, Paris, San Francisco & Shanghai) plus we get 4 new ones! Earlier this evening I booted up GRID 2019 again and the city circuits are hands down the most fun races in this game. I was also absolutely impressed (GRID 2019) with how good the handling and rumble feedback is on a controller (Xbox Series X) and how great the sound is. These cars sound and feel very powerful.

When I saw GRID Legends announced months ago I LOL’ed, the game looked like a cheap crash-grab based on GRID 2019. And it might still be that. But the new tracks, the snow environment, the new modes and yeah even the goofy story with even goofier live action scenes all combined with some solid re-impressions of GRID 2019 after not having played it for many months made me decide to preorder it.

I also have GT7 on pre-order (and look forward to that WAY more) but I think I can handle both even though the release dates are super close and I plan to sink a LOT of time in GT7. Between now and the release of Ubisoft’s Avatar game I don’t have anything on my radar anyway apart from FH5 DLC expansions and playing some more of my backlog so this can fit in I suppose. And instead of impatiently waiting for March 4th for the GT7 release, now that‘s 1 week earlier for GRID Legends. 😎

I think Indianapolis is mentioned somewhere on the trophy list
