I saw mentioned here and on Reddit that there are 22 locations and 130 layouts. Is there any official mention of those 22 locations since I don’t find them.
Don't think it was mentioned anywhere there will be 22 locations but over 130 routes is mentioned on the official website.

You are probably right on 1 more track to announce for the full track list.

There are several articles that points out 22 track locations so i guess this is the case

There are 22 tracks in GRID Legends at launch – 13 circuits, nine city street tracks, one point-to-point. Each with multiple routes such as short or reverse layouts, totalling 143 at launch.

And yeah I also remember that there was said somewhere about 22 locations.

Ok that is where the 22 is coming from, and it’s pretty darn detailed as well on the other data. Also that total would be 13+9+1 = 23 locations so they must count Okutama GP & Sprint only as one location then. That’s actually great news as it would mean both Silverstone and Red Bull Ring can be in!

1 PTP = Okutama Sprint
9 city street tracks = Barcelona, Havanna, San Francisco, Shanghai, Paris, London, Moscow, Dubai, Chicago.
13 circuits? The following are the 11 already confirmed circuits: Brands, Indianapolis, Sepang, Sydney, Zhejang, Suzuka, Mount Panorama, Crescent, Okutana GP, Strada, Yokohama.
Then we have 2 circuits left and probably not a coincidence the only 2 circuits from GRID 2019 left are Silverstone and Red Bull ring, totalling in 13 circuits.

The total assumed circuits in my previous post was 129 layouts. If we add up the 8 layouts from Silverstone and the 6 layouts from my previous post then we end up at …. 143 layouts, which is the exact number of layouts of what the article mentions. 🙏☺️

I‘m now more likely to believe that they are included than not. It makes most sense for the developers as the assets from GRID 2019 and GRID Legends look the same. Legends is obviously a game further developed unpon 2019. The older trilogy games are older and bringing that over to Legends means it needs to be remastered/enhanced.

Here are what I believe to be all 143 layouts then :

As far as drift circuits go, when he selected Clubman Drifting class, he could pick 4 locations :
  • Crescent Valley
  • Okutama FP
  • Strada Alpina
  • Yokohama Docks

Seems both Crescent and Yokohama get drift circuits as well but the ones from Brands Hatch (from GRID Autosport) aren’t redone.

He’s streaming live atm: (race creator for multiplayer)

Even though the race creator is a “glorified custom race”, I’m positively surprised how good its UI is implemented with different save slots.

I assume this is a release candidate AKA gone gold build now? Since the “work in progess“ overlay from earlier is gone (or the “not for capture” 😆). Then this footage above seems to indicate that Lancia is in, that second row car is a Lancia Stratos. 🙏👍 And there are some other previously unconfirmed cars as well, in fact these 4 cars are the exact same ones as in GRID 2019 :

AlpineA110 1800 Group 4
Ferrari365 GTB4 Competizione
LanciaStratos
Porsche911 Carrera RSR 3.0

The guy said in the beginning of the stream that he’s not allowed to show campaign now, that would be for next week. Seeing how he was already showing campaign in the earlier work in progress version before, I do think the press has gotten their hands on the final build recently. In the work in progress build they were only allowed to stream until chapter 6 or so, next week I assume they are allowed to show the entire campaign.

Not final final, but there's a lot more to it now and it doesn't have WORK IN PROGRESS across the screen any more.

There was a multiplayer test on Wednesday that we were allowed to livestream (although I didn't) and I'll have some thoughts on stuff tomorrow, I hope.

Looking forward to that! From what I’ve seen from various sources it seems the game has improved on a lot of fronts compared to GRID 2019 (more cars, more tracks, more modes, more options, better graphics, better handling). And even though this career mode with video capture scenes seem as cliche and goofy as it can be, I’m actually looking forward to that.

Already preordered the full deal and took a day off from work Feb 25th. Bring it on! (and a week later same deal for GT7 ☺️)

Chicago and Dubai was in Grid 2 and Autosport.
Yokohama Docks was in Race Driver Grid.
Mount Panorama was in Race Driver Grid, Grid 2 and Autosport.

Just because they weren't in Grid 2019 doesn't make them new.

Also, we're still missing a couple of city tracks (Washington and Miami) and point-to-point sprint tracks (Mt Haruna, California Big Sur, Hong Kong and Cote d'Azur).

Cars and real life tracks I can understand why they went missing between games (licensing), but for the fictional tracks they all should return with every game IMO. I give Codies a lot of stick for a lot of things but their city & sprint track designs are among the best in the business and I'm always a bit sad when some of them doesn't return (or comes back as paid DLC grrr).
That works out until you disappear for a console generation and have to clean things up and bring them up to current standards.

seems like all the cars from Grid 2019 still in game and decent amount of new car classes but Grid 2019 classes seems to have no new cars added. Race creator looks not bad, I like that we can select specific cars to spawn in the race.

I wonder why there is + sign near cars listed for Classic GT. Does this mean we can add different cars for class for the sake of custom race? (it is different than multiclass racing). For example it would be nice to add classic Muscle Cars for Classic GT as one class.

Also i found this:

It seems like M3 GTR E46 is in one class with Opel Astra V8

Not too sure about + signs and the menus don't seem to allow other cars to be added.

The live stream breyzipp posted did show a multi class race. Multi class seems to be restricted to 5 car models. The car selection screen and the race shown in the video has 2 super modified (CRX and Evo 9), formula rookie, stadium truck and a M6 GT3.

But I guess we can merge like 2 classic muscle cars and 3 other cars from the Classic GT class.

Why are they being so secretive with the car list? the game comes out in less then 2 weeks now.

I mean i can cleary say this game wont have mclaren cars or the c8r. :(

There was GT1 gameplay, and there was wan notable missing car. Mclaren F1 GTR Longtail. I think they don't have Mclaren license at all.

Just getting everything aligned before revealing/confirming what's in :)

Yes, you can have up to 5 different cars in MultiClass. You can however have up to 5 different classes.

Something is off... Where is Mount Panorama? o_O

EDIT: OK I SEE IT. I was confused because there are only 16 tracks on this lower list and more on upper tabs.

So let me gets this straight.

Grids legends car list is just a recycle of almost every car from grid 19 with as little effort to adding new cars and just adding a bunch of fake fictional cars?

Sounds like the GT 7 track list :boggled:

So this is even stranger than i thought. Especially they have ready F1 GTR model from SMS (they used Formula X from them)
Codemaster has their own Mclaren F1 GTR model from Grid Autosport too, not the same spec as the SMS one but I don't mind having it either.

I do think they took quite a few more cars from SMS, not just the Formula X. There is a 90s Nascar that looks to be the same one in pCARS 1. I'm guessing all the Ginetta, Clio Cup and the other 2 GT3s are likely pCARS models too. Would have been great if they took more like the Nissan and Jaguar Group C to fit in with the 787B and Porsche 962.

Also more tracks from pCARS will be great too.

I think every car and almost all the tracks returns for Legends, Silverstone is missing this time. Then they seem to added more car classes and probably a better career/story mode.

I think most of the Grid 2019 car classes has no new cars in it.

I also noticed some SMS / Project CARS stuff recycled for GRID Legends. ☺️ What caught my eye were the different Ginetta cars as well as the GT1 race cars from the late 90s (like the Panoz Esperanza and Porsche 911 GT1) and the Renault R.S 01. I think the latter even sounded the same as in Project CARS. But I also don’t mind that at all, I don’t particularly care for Ginetta but those other cars are 👌

So it looks Codemasters bought SMS just for their car models :)They need to use some of their tracks as well.

I’m not sure it’s just that easy to copy a track over, SMS used their own Madness engine I believe, not sure what Codemasters is using. I think Unreal 4?

If I have 1 circuit wish/request for GRID Legends DLC then it would be Paul Ricard in France. And it’s not that difficult, they just have to knock on the office door of the Codemasters F1 team across the hallway. :D

PC3 tracks that I wish Codemasters could use: Bahrain, Zolder, José Carlos Pace (Brazil), BRNO, Rouen-Les-Essarts (this is a gem), Hockenheim (better than Silverstone), fake Monte Carlo (Azure), Zandvoort, Knockhill, and the California Highway.

I agree with the sentiments about the tracks, but if they drive better in PC3 importing them to Grid is a bit pointless. Grid's differentiator was some of the more obscure layouts and track choices, maybe better that it has its own identity? I would like some of Grid's tracks in a more nuanced game engine, it might be that PC4 has more codies assets than vice versa?

I know it's wishful thinking, but isn't this the demand in practically every racing game out there? The more tracks the better.
I fully agree that Grid has a unique identity and that translates to the tracks themselves. For example, Brands Hatch (done to death) is ultraboring in FM7, but thanks to beautiful skyboxes and lighting, and full reverse layouts, is very lively in GRID.
