Used the afk method to eventually get to 100m after purchasing the cars I care about. Something about 150'sh. No interest in purchasing every car in the game and certainly not many legendary vehicles. Now at a point to just buy the mods I want for the cars I want to tune and the odd duplicate. Sometimes I will do a quick Tokyo wtc600 race with the tomahawk to top off the credits and daily miles but well past deliberate grinding.

155m credits according to my progress

I do a bit of grinding. Well actually a lot because there is a pathetic amount of races to do. I do the Tomahawk once each time I play, then ill mix it up with the LeMans 30min and the WTC 700, 800, and World championship.....Championships.

It has got rather boring now, so Im sitting at 10 Mil and playing Assetto Corsa Competizione, and Automobilista 2.

So let down by this game.

I'm grinding miles, not credits :P

Yeah, I did a bit of grinding. Bought and tuned some cars here and there. Right now I'm just trying to reach 16 million to buy both Ford mk.IV and the Jaguar XJ13, last 2 cars I need to get my platinum trophy.

I'm not grinding that hard: 1xSpa-1h or 2xSardegna/Le Mans and that's it. At this point I have all cars that I like (big thanks to Circuit Experience rewards!) and the only ones left are the Gr4, Gr3 and some VGT cars which I don't really care that much. I do want to collect the cars that I'm missing, especially from the Legendary dealership, but since I don't enjoy them that much, there's no reason to rush, so if it takes 1 week or 10 months... it's just, whatever, you know what I mean?

I don't grind, but I do play for credits. So far some 80 million, almost 200 cars in my garage.
I am at 90% circuit experience. Most days I play the high payout races like Spa, Le Mans and Sardegna (don't like Tokyo). But I enjoy that, it does not feel grindy. And it allows me to buy cars at a reasonable rate. I have all pre-2001 UCD cars and a good chunk of LCD cars.

I seem to spend my time on the few races worth bothering with; Spa 1hr, Sardegna, Le Mans and so on. Sometimes I’ll just do one race and that’s it for the day. Sometimes - if I have a bit of time - I’ll repeat Sardegna a few times to build up a bit of easy cash. So I suppose that’s classed as grinding.

The lower payout races just seem a bit pointless in comparison. They don’t offer anything over the races that pay upwards of 700,000 credits, so they don’t really get touched. It’s pretty obvious that the only purpose the low-payout races served was as part of the Menu Book ‘tutorial’. They’re all ticked off with wins, so there’s nothing taking me back to them.

I built up to about 13M recently, bought the 10.5M F1 GTR, did some more races, got back up to about 5M, bought the 155 and the GT500 Supra. Desperately waiting for some more interesting content to change the way I play the game.

It’s not too much too ask.

EDIT: It’s worth noting that I have done a couple of the Human Comedy missions, so it’s not entirely fair of me to infer we’re completely devoid of new content. Although they don’t really appeal to me massively. There’s a lot of frustration and trial and error involved in making the time spent as lucrative as the old favourites. And they’re one-off prizes. So I just don’t feel as interested in investing my time there. But I guess that’s on me.

I've done it for a bit, but no longer.
And by this I mean the Tokyo grind with the Tomahawk.

Right now I'm more into gaining money from the Human Comedy missions (3 to go) and golding all Circuit Experiences. Still have some to do there.

Other than that, I prefer to do proper racing in WTC events with different cars. Don't really care that much if I don't always win.
Don't I want to buy all the legendary +5.000.000 cars? Yeah, but not so urgent....this game will last for a looong time and I still haven't even driven 25% of the 230 cars that I own. Plenty of time.

Grinded a bit of the Tokyo and le mans WTC races. The Tokyo one is a mind numbing experience but I only did this while 'working from home" so made it a bit better lol

Done with grinding now as already have most of the cars I want and have 17 million on the bank.

Enjoying sport mode and custom races with many of the cars I have bought and not driven yet.

I've done like 400mill maybe.

Just waiting on the LCD to rotate through to get the last 5 cars I need: Roughly 45 Mill credits required and I have 20mill sitting there :)

Then I will afk grind up to around 100mill and hopefully wont ever need to bother again

No Grinding. Still got a lot of circuit experience and missions to do, and quite a few one-off circuit races. WTC700 championship is probably my most run event, but that's mostly because it goes quite well with my beloved BMW VGT when it's tuned down to Gr.4 levels.

Only about 20 mil earned total so far, 37% car collection progress (160+ cars I as I have multiples of some). Given we're only about 10 weeks into what I anticipate to be a 5 year life span of the game, I'm entirely comfortable with the pace at which things are going - though another 19 mil. to make a grid full of BMW VGT's could throw a spanner in the works.

I'm biding my time with this game.

As a previous poster said, I don't want it to become a chore. So I'm playing a few hours a week, dipping in and out of Sport Mode/CE/Missions, keeping lots of content on the shelf.

I have a niggling feeling (hope) that during its lifespan, this game is going to have 'chapters' where the player base is going to be ushered into different sections of the game.

Right now we're at
"Chapter 1: Car Collecting & Circuit Familiarity"

I did the WTC800 Sardinia race a few times but I can't really see the point in grinding to buy cars anymore when you can hire them all for free to race online (mostly all I do).

Feels like they've taken the game economy down a completely flipped route from how they started, nice being able to try them all but I'm not sure if this current set-up is a winner long term.

I don’t grind as i don’t want to get bored with game and don’t want it to feel like a chore. I hope to eventually have every car in game , If that takes me a couple of years , I don’t mind , I don’t understand the logic behind having all the cars after only a couple of months ? .
Because the vast majority of people do not play a game for years. There are plenty of other games out there, they play one until they've exhausted all of its content and move on.

Because of how this game has been set up, with limited content and rotating dealerships that lasts over two months the vast majority of players will simply never see a large chunk of cars while playing it, never mind have enough credits to buy them.

But given the choice of either grinding out races, waiting patiently for years until they add enough content or moving on and playing another game that is more respectful of their time, most people are taking the third option.

I never do or have. The closest I've come is doing Circuit Experiences sooner than planned to bank credits for something I wanted or needed for a race. I respect everyone's approach to grinding or not though.

I'm about to get back into the Tokyo WTC600 again, which right now I do much of the day. Looking at My Page, it seems I've grinded for about 230 million credits! My collection is at 53% right now, but I have a lot of duplicates for racing conversions and / or different liveries for upcoming custom races.

While there is plenty to do yet, my current agenda is to collect all the cars, then take my faves and stretch my legs, create all kinds of race cars, enjoying them in various races while the malcontents online whine that there's nothing to do.

Used to do a lot, not much lately. Just under 60mil
But I know that darn Jag will be back sooner than later! Likely going back to 1 Tokyo per day

I'm kind of a car hoarder so I grind quite a bit. I dunno, maybe I'm kinda weird but to some extent, I find the Tokyo race kinda fun. It's sort of like Wipeout to me lol. Often times, I'll bang into a wall 3 times per lap on purpose so I can get a few sips of beer or wine. In my drunk scientific research, I found that 15sec per lap is the ideal amount of drinking. I'm trying to get all the legendaries on the second rotation except for the 20 mill cars cause frankly, I don't much care for those.

I do 3 races a day with the tomahawk at Tokyo... I had a bunch of money but spent it last night... I'm at 825,000k with over 210 cars
