OK , please bear with me. Just got a Thrustmaster 80 wheel and pedals. Relearning everything, kludgy set up, good enough for now. CANNOT get through WTC 600, have (with controller) been up to 1st place in a detuned Ford GT40 (my fave of all time). Couldn't get it through Suzuka very well or Interlagos. Now trying a BMW, Alfa, etc. Can't seem to get good pickup because of the power restictor and ECU to make 599.xx. Suggestions? Keep trying different tunings? Been to PRAIANO'S, and some others. For the club meet ups, seems like I should have more licenses and some Group cars?
Thank you!

I hope I might see you blokes in the morning. My sleep schedule is so fubared that a 7:30 local start for me is hard (9:00 has been my usual wake up time).

I can't tell you how much I hate turn one of Brands Hatch. I bought the Radical today, but haven't driven it yet.

Regarding headsets. With the PS4, it was easy since the PS4 had an optical port that the T.B.Stealth 500 plugged into. It had a balance control for voice / racing sounds to be adjusted while you drove. That went out the window with the PS5 with no optical port. Voice / racing sound balance can be adjusted with the Arctis 7p wireless pro, but not while you are driving. I find it comfortable and the battery charge lasts for days, probably 15 - 20 hours of use. I plug them into my computer USB since I turn the PS off.

I believe you need the A license to join the online races. As for cars, the ones Luiz posted are a good basis. A couple of GR3, and GR4 is good enough. Most of our races are with untuned cars.

Thank you! Luiz posted about the online race cars for the club, correct? Any advice for that WTC 600? I know sometimes it’s a grind, like when you guys were going through various setting trials.

Hi @DavidBAZ , are you asking about the WTC 600 Championship that is in one of the menu books? If so, it’s been a while since I did that, so I re-ran it this morning. The Nissan R34 GT-R tuned to 596 pp was enough to win all 3 races and the Championship. Nice payout too, 260,000 credits including clean race bonus in all 3. Sweet!
Wow! Now can you share some tuning advice? Intermediate tires for the Red Bull in the rain? Any particular set up for Suzuka? Or Interlagos? My challenge has been, by the time I detune to below 600, every car is a pig. The AI just walks away. I have, with a controller, been in 1st place on Red Bull. Didn’t finish there! With the wheel and pedals and manual shift, I feel slow to accelerate, long distance to slow for turns and very dicey in corners. Maybe try some controller assist? Traction? Something else? Thanks!

Ran the same setups for all 3 races, on sports soft tires. Hope this helps.

Thank you! Off work in a couple hours (night shift RN), will try this set up for a few minutes. More time after the week is over!

OK I tried, briefly, with a SIMILAR car, didn’t buy that exact one for 450k. Tried those settings as close as could be done. And used a controller. Like I say, quick check. Wasn’t a contender, is it possible that I need that exact car? Will say, these settings kept the car on the track well, just need more acceleration. Will try with the wheel next. Do I need some assist or controller setting changes? Thank you!

I couldn’t remember which car I used for that championship, being a geezer and all that. Went back into my gallery and found this evidence.

So I used the 2020 GR Supra for that championship. Used a controller back on March 8th when I first did it. Sorry to have given you the previous info, and so glad you didn’t purchase the R34 GT-R because you will win it a couple of menu books after the one you’re stuck on.

Setup for the GR Supra.

I'm sure some if not all of you saw this years ago. I did too. Stumbled upon it in YT again this eve, watched and really, really enjoyed it. Considering it's release was in 2010 the CGI was AWESUM and the acting was much more believable than those in the first movie (it was in a movie wasn't it?) and TV series. It may be available on another venue than YT but it was FREE and with adblock there were no adverts. GTP won't let me post the link SO,, the movie is "The A Team" Leslie Nielson, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Quinton Jackson and of course a huge group of other excellent actors made for an exciting action packed movie. Hope you can find the time to sit back with your fav beverage(s), snacks and enjoy that 2 hour break from reality. 👍👍👍👊

Thanks Eric for sharing this S/U. I'm going to try it myself. I believe I used the Nissan R34 with a set up Super GT (a YouTuber) shared in one of his YT license test upgrades. The R34 was of course built to just under the 600pp rules, was pretty easy to drive and earned that credit payout in around 1/2 half hour, perhaps less.

Yesterday at work we found out we’ve been bought out. Closing doors end of December. 22, almost 23 years.
Wow Cory, bought out and closing the doors? Is it another box company that wanted the customer base? You're a good employee, perhaps they'll see your worth and find a place for you. Bright side --You probably wouldn't have to count boxes once a week.
That happened to me about 20 years ago and it all worked out. My advice, stick around and see what the intentions are.

Sorry to hear this, dude. Always a shock no matter how long you have worked for a company.

I retired early in September of 2019 (after 30.5 years with the company) because there was talk of some staffing cutbacks coming. I was debating to retire or not, and decided to do so (I was seventh on the seniority list) to hopefully let someone else get to keep their job. Three months later it was announced the pharmacy division was being shut down on April 1, 2020 and about three hundred people (pharmacists and technicians) would be out of work.

If I had stuck around until the end I would have received about an additional $46k of severance pay and medical insurance coverage. Never leave too soon unless you have something very good to transition to.

Good luck with what lies ahead.

Sorry, posted without finishing, Forum is...quirky on the iPhone. I CANNOT stay on the track in the rain without Intermediate tires. So I put them on my Nissan, which is not the exact model. Had some 'close enough' settings, again, not the same model. Got a quick 5th place at rainy Red Bull with a controller. Couldn't keep it on the track at Suzuka, so back to Settings. Going to keep grinding away, someday I'll post that I finished this series. Someday...Meanwhile, thanks to everyone for all the suggestions.

Wednesday night 7:30 EDT

Other tracks TBD

Geezers, I suggest (request) that we add this car to the regular rotation. The ZL1 Camaro has become my favorite car in the game (to this point), and it’s an absolute blast to drive. It will decimate Blue Moon, and is my weapon of choice for the Trial Mountain Cup. If we use it, let’s go all out with the upgrades. My setup works great.

Thank you Kaz, thanks PD! Update 1.11 is live, and it’s freakin great! The game economy has received a massive tweak in the right direction. New races, missions (endurance races!), cars and more. That’s the good news. The bad news is the multiplayer lobbies are unchanged, the same piece of crap as we had at game launch!

if you have bronzed or golded any of the Circuit Experiences you will need to go back to each one, enter the sector selection screen, then exit in order to claim the new rewards. For example, Spa will award an additional 1,200,000 credits for all gold. Many others pay an extra 960,000 credits. So go git you some of dat!!

Update notes below.
