If you want an exercise in trust, trust in your car and trust in yourself, do the Circuit Experience at St Croix, in the VGT Gr.1 Veyron.
Ha ha ha :mischievous: Segments finally found that elusive GOLD - BUT - the full lap,, OMG,, if I live long enough, and hit it on just the right day MAYBE,, just MAYBE I will get that GOLD. For now,, SILVER will have to do. I will venture to say this however,, that car is NOT the same VGT Gr.1 Veyron we get when we dump the credits to buy it. Who knows BUT it is not the same which kinda disappointed me when that Gr1 was my first to spend my credits to own. Ohh well,, as is always the case with this newest version of GT,, 'it is is what it is'..... :ouch:

Sunday 5th June 30 Min Event

Lobby open 10:00 ET, 15:00 UK. This race will take place during our usual Sunday racing. Lobby name for the race is GRC

We will race the "Porsche GT1 (Strassenversion)" @ Lake Magiore for 14 Laps.

Tyres for the race are RH. Tyre multiplier is x18, fuel multiplier is x4. We start with a full tank.

Practise/Qualification for 10 minutes. 5 min break before race.

We will be trying weight this week so please all buy the ballast before joining room. (You can buy the Brake Balance Controller as well as this does not affect PP) We will decide the added weight amount on Saturday in our party chat.

Because we are trying weight BOP will be off which also makes tuning possible. PLEASE NOTE GUYS, NO TUNING. This is an experiment to see our possibiities, if any, using ballast. I tried 7 laps with 100kg/220lbs in the centre of the car which did not affect the handling.

Other Lobby Settings:
Preset Weather, S01 Dry Cloudless and Pleasant, Afternoon
BOP OFF
Tuning Prohibited
Grid Start
Slipstream Strong
Shortcut Penalty Weak
Pit Lane Cutting Penalty On
Flag Rules On

How many laps? What is the base PP with RH?

Base pp with RH 702.xx Off the top of my head I think with 100kg weight added takes it down to 689,xx 14 Laps
The setup sheets for the 911 GT1 should match these.

Edit: with the standard wheels the pp is 690.49. I have the Enkei centerlocks installed, and I went back and removed the wide offset option and now the pp is 690.49.

Never came to grips with Maggiore. Did the circuit experience last night. Golded the easy bits first try but struggled a little in the first sector. Five tries or so.

What really got me riled up is the Porsche 917 at wet Spa Mission or whatever. 20 tries easy, never finished.

You learn something everyday. I have just played around with the wheels. When you put a different set of wheels on a vehicle the PP will change if you alter the rim size etc. (albeit only slightly) Standard options keep PP the same.

I have also just learnt that weight positioning will also change the PP. As Erics' pictures shows the PP 690.49 is with 100kg placed in the centre of the car. Positioning the 100kg to the front lowers the PP to 683.10. Moving the weight to the rear increases the PP to 698.06. That is quite a difference.

I will try the car later with weight set at different positions and give an update. Looking at the figures it seems like putting weight at the rear is the way to go. Reminds me of the old Ford Capri 3.0 We used to put cement in the boot to help keep it less tail happy

Guys can put the weight wherever they want Eric. I am just pointing out the difference in PP. The difference in PP with 100kg weight at the rear and no weight at all is just 4.58PP. We cannot set the PP limit regarding where weight is put as some guys will have no weight and with PP702. Is PP even a true reflection on the cars performance? The idea of weight or power restiction (we can try that next) is to try and bunch the field up. This is not easy to do. For instance, in this car maybe the handling improves with added weight which then does not help the guys with no added weight. We will see.

Sorry I seemed to disappear without saying anything...and sorry some of you are one place closer to last place without me to run ahead of.

We are closing on a new house on June 30, so I've been a little preoccupied of late and packing this house has started in earnest (37 years in the same location and you accumulate a lot of $h!t to sort through - the new place is less square footage). Plus the TV system I use for the PS5 has been partially dismantled.

I hope to rejoin the shenanigans sometime in July, but more likely August, and find myself even farther behind the rest of you in car acquisitions and experience.

If this move kills me (I am 65 now, and just a shadow of my younger, buff self...LOL at that crap), I will ask my wife to let you know so everyone can hoist a pint in remembrance of me and say "Who was that?"

Later dudes.
