When tuning the SC430 for Luiz race tomorrow please try and use a new settings sheet as this is the car we are racing on Sunday with stock settings.

PS. I have just looked at the tuned settings for the car. The PP is less than the stock version. So I have 2 choices for our Sunday race. Either try and ensure everyone is using the exact same settings or run the race with BOP on.

The easiest solution is to run BOP. This will affect John, Markhu and Byron, as for this race they will not be able to use nitrous.
Thanks Steve for thinking of us BUT we'll just have to do the best we can with the resources we have at hand :):),, in my case, 🤪,,, Ohh well 😋

Have just been trying to do a setup for the SC430 at Daytona. Done about 45 laps. I can definately recommend the stock setup with nothing added and all downforce removed.

I first tried Praiano's setup with and without custom box, with and without high rpm turbo, with and without downforce. I then did the same with the stock settings. There was absolutely no difference in car handling due to any suspension changes.

As you can see in the attached pic the best time was 50.3 which, time wise, was at the end of the session. This was with the stock box and no downforce. For the race, because of draft, I reckon custom box and 310 top speed.

There may be a better setup and I don't know what improvements, if any, changes to the diff might make. I also did not try lowering the car or make changes to toe.

I was bored :)

I have done a bit more testing this morning. In all the testing I have tried to stay as close to the infield lines without touching them.

First I lowered the car to minimum which shaved off 3/10ths a lap, pic 1
Then I put toe at 0.00 front and rear, that was worth another 10th a lap, pic 2
I tried diff on minimum settings and then on high settings, no difference
Traction control on 0 and 1, no difference,
Manual, automatic, no real difference.
My optimal was a 49.8 with settings, pic 3 (Stock with downforce removed, car lowered and toe adjustment)

I also tried with a controller. Never used one before. Optimal, 49.8! I could not hug the lines properly especially the corners so maybe with practise I could have beaten my optimal time with the wheel. It would be interesting if someone, who is good with a controller, could have a go with a controller and a wheel to see what the result is.

600PP at Laguna will be a bit of a challenge.
@MasterGT A challenge? Compared to your lobby races lol 🤣 The first race will require a little practice though. The main concern is finding the right car that will do a no stop. Tire wear and fuel mileage is the key, not horsepower.

No limitation on the type of car? Racing? Road?

Edit:

What kind of lap times is everyone getting? (1'37.0 for 16'33.0 in my first attempt.)

Hello Master and good morning. Thanks for the correction memo on type of 600 PP car being used.We are using a 600 PP Road Car .I don’t know what I would do without yours and Pete help lol 😀. Most of my practice laps @Laguna were in the mid-136 range .See you tonight 👍

Not going to be able to join tonight as work tomorrow. Just had a go at Laguna. M3 evolution 89 SM offline. 1.33.382. Bit of a handful even with TC1, comfortable 1.34's though. Itwas with a Praiano tune if anyone wants to try it. Also saved the lap if anyone wants it. I think the times are not that reliable for comparisons as it depends on the time of day that is used and also track temp and wind speed etc that the game loads up.

The first one looks like it could be a Gr. B car. The 2nd possibly a Ford GT? The last one appears to be the McLaren F1 road car. No idea about #3. Edit: #3 may be a Ford Focus ST 2015.
These are cars that are not available at the shop. I have all cars that we can buy

There for race 2, can't make race 1 sorry

The Renault R.S.01 Gr.3 is an interesting MR race car. Not the fastest / slowest and not the easiest to handle stock, but after a bit of tuning, it earns a bit of respect.

I shared a replay in GT7, if anyone is interested. I will post a tune for it after a bit more scrutiny.

I am in the same position Luiz needing cars from legend shop. Eric is correct. Mustang GRB rally car, Ford GT17, Ford Focus ST15, 1994 McLaren. It is just the McLaren you need from the legends shop.
