This is an invitation from ZOPPO_GT fr the Geezers that are interested in endurance race.

"HISTORIC NASCAR CHAMPIONSHIP"

A special championship with 9 races. Each race is an endurance

race for about one hour. Important: Just for cars with an V8 (!)

engine only. All cars must be built between 1961 and 1971.

BOP for all cars: max. 380 hp (280 kW) / min. 2650 lbs (1200 Kg)

Tires: Racing hard only. Tire + fuel settings: 2x. Tuning + aerokits

+ widebody allowed. Just ABS - no other driving aids. Penaltys +

damage: HIGH!

Pointsystem like at the VLN. Only the best 7 races of each driver will

count for the scoring. If you miss 1 or 2 races you still will save your

chances for the championship.

The championship will start at first monday in August. Lobby opens

at 8pm, the races will start at 8:30pm (CET). Practice lessons will

start at the last two mondays (8pm) in July.

Cars:

Ford Mustang Boss 429 ´69

Ford Mach 1 ´71

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 ´69

Chevrolet Corvette C2 ´63

Chevrolet Corvette C3 ´69

DeTomaso Pantera ´71

DeTomaso Mangusta ´69

Dodge Superbird ´70

Dodge Suoer Bee ´70

Dodge Challenger R/T ´70

Shelby Cobra 427 ´66

Blue Moon Speedway 2 Races (both tracks)

Daytona Speedway 2 Races (both tracks)

Watkins Glen 2 Races (both tracks)

Laguna Seca Raceway 1 Race

Willow Springs 1 Race

Trial Mountain 1 Race

Willow Springs 1 Race

This championship is for lovers of the "Big Bangers" and their

roaring sound. If you like it, you are here in the right place.

All fair and clean drivers are welcome. Lobby open just for

friends to keep ruthless and selfish drivers away.

The main thing is to find a car wich will be good for both

kinds of race tracks. Remember: Just one car per driver

for all races.

See you soon on a race track.

Best wishes from Germany - let the thunder roll.

If no work on Thurs I will be there

John and I have just been trying out the Mini. What a great little car. We did Goodwood, Alsace and Interlagos. Well fun to drive 😀
Indeed it is! I'll have to admit at first I wasn't enthusiastic until Steve told me to TRY IT. WOW,, I'm enthusiastic about that little hotrod now. Fast? Not too bad, it reached around 115 on the straights BUT it sure scrambles around the curves!!I was pleasantly surprised and unless I miss my bet we'll be seeing that little Mini in more than just a fw one make races than just Claude's Wednesday Nite Invitational!!

It is a great little Hot Rod especially more so if you have the Honda crate motor to swap into it. I ran it at Le Mans vs the Group 4s & was surprised by the result. There was no rain during this particular race & I only did 1 stop for fuel & tires. Here's the results & my set-up. It's a bit squirrely but manageable with TC 1.

Fellas, yesterday Pete (peppermallard) and I did a bit of testing at Daytona Speedway (not the road course) to see what transmission might make for some Beat 'em Up Good Gr2 racing. We installed the RACING Transmission and set MAX/TOP SPEED at 320kph (199mph). There was only the two of us but it seemed that speed makes for decent run alone AND drafting. Next time we try to duplicate the races we did at Blue Moon Speedway in GTSport let's try those settings and see what the group thinks. It would be fun to find something that works at Datona Speedway.

Good morning Geezers , Claude and I are alternating Wednesday nights .So it’s my turn to host Tomorrow .
1st race : Alsace Test Course
10 laps tire wear x5 fuel usage x5
500PP any sport tire
Tuning allowed
2nd race : Sardegna Road Track Layout C
10 laps tire wear x5 fuel usage x5
600PP any sport tire
Tuning allowed

Recently, when I post images here, they only show as red Xs. I use a different device to load the page and they still won't display. Use a third one and they do display. Refresh the first device's browser and sometimes they display. Dunno...

Close but no cigar. Swapped the Porsche engine into the Sambabus, installed all upgrades, all weight reduction & only managed 3rd. I used RH at start & had heavy rains after 2 laps. Switched to HW for 3 laps & IM for last lap. (Only 6 laps total. Usually have to do 7) Going to try again but starting with RS. (Still under 700 PP).

Greetings all.

I'm Patrick, (42 years old)
I noticed this group a while back when considering joining up for some online racing for fun and then noticed the age limit was still a ways off for me.
However, I see now that you actually do events where "younger" folks can join in and I will send a request for the event tonight when I get home from the office.

Also, I'm supposed to say hello to (I believe) pmallard. I'm Chris's friend.
