Steve, your rear toe angle and ballast position are different than mine.
Steve, I haven't put grippier tires on the front for a very long time. The last time that I did that, it was a disaster. In general, I do other things to control the car other than change tires, unless it is necessary. For example, with the Ford Roadster, I went up one grade because the car was too much of a handful on its default tires (probably because of torque), but the tires on both ends are still the same. From what I understand if a car understeers you put grippier tyres on the front and for oversteer you put them on the rear. We will just have to have tyre wear off where we use cars like that as on a pit stop you cannot select different tyres at each axle.
As a matter of interest Mastr did you notice what tyre/axle the HUD displayed when you were using 2 compounds?
PS Just had a look and it shows both.
What you are referring to is localisation.PS. Having looked a bit closer at this I reckon there is more than 1 version of the software. For instance, I have a racing 'Silencer' whereas you have a racing 'Muffler' So the software for US and the EU is not the same.
Well yes, but the point being is the software the same for different locales? Obviously with different naming of parts in US and EU there is something that is changed. If I took my Playstation to the US and plugged it in would my silencer now be called a muffler or do I have software that is region specific? What you are referring to is localisation.
You could try another account set to the U.S. as your region to see if that makes any difference. If I took my Playstation to the US and plugged it in would my silencer now be called a muffler or do I have software that is region specific?
It was just a generalisation Mastr. Same thing with downforce and weight. More at the front or more at the rear.I do other things to control the car other than change tires
I might try that to see what happens Eric. Just have to make sure I do not screw up my progress in the game first. You could try another account set to the U.S. as your region to see if that makes any difference.
I think that when you start a new user account you would start GT7 from the beginning. Shouldn’t affect your game progress, as you just sign on with your regular account and resume where you left off.I might try that to see what happens Eric. Hey Steve, why don't we adopt the weight by champ position for this test season?Good race guys and congrats to Luiz on the win
Next week we are off to Deep forest for 20 laps in the GR3 Nissan GT-R GT500. Tyres RH/RM
Full details to follow
well, duce did not use the boost at all. if you are afraid of me racing lighter then you, I can race all the champ heavier then you, if you feel more comfortable that way.We are trying nitrous at the moment Luiz. We have only had one race with it at the moment. Adjustment will be made this week and John is our tester.
And there is also no way you are 50kg lighter than me haha 🤣 nice try. You won the race!
And also I want to be running the same weight as you even if I came forth. I would not want, or think it fair, if I had less weight than you. And Todd 100kg lighter? Even Todd would say no way.
What about the top 3 on equal weight? It is difficult to put people on different weights and to have everyone be ready to race with their allocated weight. We need a simpler solution.
The idea of weight, or anything else that might add a bit of 'boost', is to help guys who are nearer the rear of our races to get them up into the mix.
I think maybe you should read my post again Luiz.if you are afraid of me racing lighter then you
I totally agree Steve, and Luiz I like the idea but in reverse, Bottom 2, 3, or 4 depending on how many run in the race, should gain some advantage by less weight to be more competitve with front group. We are trying nitrous at the moment Luiz. We have only had one race with it at the moment. Adjustment will be made this week and John is our tester.

I'm with ya Steve,, I believe it's a fair question,, is there a difference? We've seen it first hand with the Gr4 Silva at Route X. Hmmm.Well yes, but the point being is the software the same for different locales? Obviously with different naming of parts in US and EU there is something that is changed. If I took my Playstation to the US and plugged it in would my silencer now be called a muffler or do I have software that is region specific?
Yes he did,, most likely he thought he was a driver. The fatal error was that he learned (in another dimension) the Porsche was more car than his limited ability could handle.I bought a Spyder today. I have no idea how easily it drives, but James Dean found a problem with one, so it may not be that good.
Even though I thought I had ordered it I didn't get the disc,, I got the digital copy. Yes I emailed them with a copy of my receipt but apparently I did the order wrong. Anyway, someone who did get the disc could send it to you so you could compare? Just a thought...Have done a little googling today and there are different versions of the game. I found 3. Japanese, EU and US. I also found an Asian version but this could be the same as the Japanese version. If I had a Japanese DISC version I could run it on my playstation. I cannot buy a Japanese digital version to download from Sony living in the EU. If I created a new account and set to US I would still see the EU version. I would need a US disc or nip to the US and download the US digital version.
There are differences to the game. Car naming for one, and they also cite cultural differences etc. One bigger difference I found was the dynamic weather. The Japanese version has dynamic weather based on the weather in Japan, the US version has it based on the weather in California. I couldn't find anything on internet lobby settings although I would imagine, because of infrastructure, there might be some changes between versions. As for the physics, lets hope PD have 'copied and pasted' everything correctly betwen the versions.
