I believe the Civic Type R in the used dealership is gone, now, for those that don't have it.

Since credits are fairly easy to get, I will be buying as many used cars as I can each week.

Does anyone know if, when in the livery editor, you can select a car other than going out to the garage, change car and then back into the livery editor?
No, you have to be in the car you want to design before entering the Livery Editor. Another well thought out feature in the game. Oh well, one can’t expect a properly functioning game with just 5 years of development and testing time. :grumpy::crazy::rolleyes:

Eric, Perhaps they used the programing from GT2 or 3 as a starting point.

That was interesting tonight.

Sorry I wasn't more talkative...I'm still learning my way around this whole online thing. I had to take out my hearing aids with the PS5 headset I was using, so I also couldn't hear everything being said. I tried messing around with the equalizer feature to see if that would help, but it wasn't as good as I would like.

Do the other player's cars that are immediately ahead of you bob and weave continuously? They do not track as smooth as AI cars do when participating in a solitary event.

I changed my online name ion GT7 to help others remember my actual name. It now shows as: backMARKer

Thanks for putting up with my ignorance with the chat stuff. And my apologies to the blue Aston I punted in one of the races.

Cars near you can sometimes show latency (lag) through slight movement of other cars. The more latency, the more severe the movement is. The game is losing track of where each car is, especially in curves. It appears to you as if you are stable and other cars have a problem. Of course, the other drivers see slight movement of your car, too. Hopefully, PDI can can improve things quickly.

Thanks. I figured it was something like that.

As of Thursday morning 5:45 am EDT, the servers are still down following an update and server maintenance. The patch notes indicate that the various tire issues for missions, license tests and circuit experiences have been fixed. PD have also apparently nerfed the limited grinding opportunities, i.e. Fisherman’s Ranch Dirt Champions event - 97,500 payout for 3:08 of time. :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::banghead::banghead::banghead:

No indication of any significant multiplayer improvements. 👎👎

Update: 6:02 am EDT, servers now online. Fisherman’s Ranch Dirt Champions nerfed from 97,500 payout to 45,000 (for a clean race). Fargin bastages!!!

👎 :grumpy: 👎 :grumpy: 👎 :grumpy: 👎 :grumpy:

Update 2: 6:10 am EDT, servers down again!
Aww nutz! Doing that EZ earned credit race was on my plate this morning too. Ohh well,, 45K is still OK but 97.5 would have been much better. Looks lik th update is installed now so off I go to play and increase my 78,000 credit o I can buy more 'stuff' I keep myself pretty much broke buying upgrades and cars I see inn the USED CAR shop. :scared:

Not so fast partner! The servers are STILL DOWN!

Another update: 8:35 am EDT, servers STILL DOWN! Check server status here > https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gt7/top/
Yeah,, I found that to be true so I went back in the house and took a nap. 0832 PDT I've sat myself down, fresh cup a 'jo' at the ready I am thinking "surely they have it done by now,,?" WRONG! Still down for maintenance. Guess I'll go back in and get some food in me. Will check again in a couple of hours. You know the folks at PD are scrambling to get the site back up. A day without GT is a boring day. I did go do the TT's in Sport so I got my 'fix', but it sucks with all we have to get done in 7!

I thought that by the time I got back from my bike ride the servers would surely be back online. But no!!

At least the sucky day has brightened a wee bit. A Leprechaun has arrived for St. Patrick’s Day with an email from Fanatec saying that my order has changed to “warehouse processing”, so it is in the process of being shipped. Looks like that bowl of Lucky Charms this morning paid off - they’re Magically Delicious! Now for some green beer!

Good Afternoon everyone, I’m a new member here trying to get back into sim racing. I was lurking around the forums and came across this league. My father lives with me and plays from time to time. He still has a lot to learn but really enjoys racing. I was wondering what I would need to do to sign him up for your league? I this would be a great way for him to meet new folks and continue to dive in to this hobby. Thank you all, hope you have a great day.

Hello,

New here and almost as green as they come. Had gt6 that I enjoyed on and off about 6 years back, when I had the time to race, (which was very little). Retired for almost 2 years now and just got my new wheel setup and looking forward to new friendships and racing.

I've got a lot to learn though, just based on reading these posts, (not to mention learning to tune/
race). Any good tips on getting started properly and effectively? I've only just started the licences and a few ai races. And just the 1st Cafe menu completed.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know everyone. My name is Douglas.

Hello Zylem (Zylem’s father) and MagnumForce. Check out post #2 and #3 of this thread, if you haven’t done so already. The details of the race schedules and room hosts are in those posts. Having a headset is very helpful so you can join in the chats. Everyone is very accommodating, and we have a lot of fun in the chat, as well as on the track.

In GT7, you’ll have to progress past Menu Book 9 in order to access the multiplayer lobbies. Completing the Menu Books is also a good way to stock your garage. Look forward to seeing you on track.

As a noob, my first run with this group was last night (3/16/22). They seem like a right bunch of wankers. They were helpful and not at all condescending especially with my poor grasp of the "chat room" part of the experience.
