Remeber the wheelstands from Game City in Vienna, horrible thing... except Audi simulator, but it's another world. Such a shame that douring GTA the organisation didn't prepare well.

maybe it was the same wheelstands, next day i try same car & track with only 1 lap at home like it was selectet at GTA.
on my wheel i was 5 sec faster, and that on a created online server (not arcademode).
only to show u how much broken some wheels there was.
an easy drift throw the corner was impossible! (i tried it in the warm up time)


at simulation modus u have much lower grip, arcademodus is an easy think, its made for people who dont drive often.

i didnt care about silverstone, i didnt do the registration in the allowed registration date, cause i havent know if i should go there or not, my dislike was the "must do interview`s" and too much camera`s!
Some company send me after the end of 8-5 an email, why im not have do a reagistration for GTA, and that thy will open the registration window again for 2days. then i thinked about it and done it :-)

i want only say, that is really unfair give other countries a new equipment and austria an very old destroyed, unable to drive fast "equipment/wheels" !!!!!

what do you mean by simulation modus?
there´s a difference between offline and online but not between the arcade physics and the one´s you have offline in gt-mode

u dont have to go online for a sim modus, go on training modus and there is a better physik then in this arcade modus.

after 2 weeks during only GTA 8-5 i come back to the online servers, i thinked why i cant drive ??? i drived like a noob, its a big different !! many silverstoner`s sayed this too!

thats true thaisn, try it urself, but start during some laps in arcade and then online or training, its a lot different!

the tyres also choosen at GTA very easy!
and the tyres in game are very wrong at the griplevel!

for example:
-BMW M3 CSL real @Nordschleife : 7:47min on sport tyres!
-BMW M3 CSL game @ Nordsch. : 7:28min on sport hard tyres
-BMW M3 CSL game @ Nordsch. : 7:40min with comfort soft tyres!

20 sec difference is to much!! in game the comfort soft can maximum be the sport tyres in real! and @GTA the use in arcade modus for an 370z sport hard tyres ?? lol

the big bosses of GTA never driven Gran Turismo, so they dont know what they doing!
GTA also dont search the fastest driver, they only want PR with this show! maybe that is the reight way for them, i dont know!
but the fastest driver didnt do it, cause they dont search for the fastest!

now they have this situation at silverstone:

some drivers there have practice with realcar-racing some other havent done not one trackday on any track?? i dont must explain wich have there a big adavance.

if u search for the poland two winners, u will see how good that guy drives in real and in the game, cause he have real race practice! (he driftet throw the GTA test). some other have this advance too!

but if they would search the fastest driver, it can be only TITECH85!
maybe he hasent visit any trackday befor he gone 2011 at silverstone! (no real practice)

maybe they didt want a second french as an winner, not good for their PR!

Titech already had his chance. He is really fast in games but not so in real ;-)

yes he had his chance, but if other guys has real race practice and he not so this is really unfair!
im sure if titech has done the 6months training after the GTA final like Jann, he would win him in 9 of 10 races! its only the real practice that someone have and some dont have! if both have this same training titech would destroy jann like he destroy everyone in Gran Turismo!

Btw everyone in Austria had to deal with the bad pods, so its equal for everyone.

thats not reight! some pods was very bad, some only bad, and 1 was ok!

1st day i was sitting on 2 very bad, 1 ok!
to drive the cars clear on limit was impossible.

its unbeliveable how Sony or Nissan do a tournament with this material!


and i can tell u who will do it very good in silverstone, dessy (practice) & one of the poland (practice), and maybe other one with real raceing practice.

I've been thinking for a while about who the guest judge could possibly be this year. With the Brundles having already raced with Lucas at Le Mans, and doing the 24 hours of Silverstone in September, my gut feeling is telling me that Martin could be the famous face this time.

This interview from earlier in the year shows that they are indeed heavily involved with Nissan and are also at the very least aware of the GT Academy program. Only time will tell.

Amazing clip - really puts things into perspective. Losing McRae was such a loss to Rallying and Motorsport. He was a proper Legend. It's cool to see Brundle on the limit too, you kind of forget his racing history sometimes, he is a fantastic driver.


On an unrelated note, does anyone have an Autosport account? They posted an article about GT Academy however I don't have a subscription. and i'm sure they got a lot of editing work to do with the video footage they got, especially with my interviews (those "answer in german first, then in english", with an english question asked, sessions really messed with my mind)

Thanks Martin. I'll do my best to update a bit on here when I have time in the evenings, but we may have to sign a media embargo, and if that's the case we won't be allowed to publicly talk about some of things we do or certain results.
