what is it with people that go off track to get better times.....am I supposed to do the same so I can stay competitive or should I just consider this a lost cause since I like to keep all wheels on track? Will those that get top times with 3 wheels off track get disqualified or is this how they battle it out once they get to the finals....just ridiculous

Don't worry about it too much right now, the first 7 weeks really don't count for anything. It's in week 8 that we should have a problem with it.

It's funny, as per usual people were complaining about GT Academy and the Leaf and the fact it would contain even more Nissans, but now all of a sudden, since you can obtain them for free , people are going crazy for them..

Lol yeah! Personally really I don't care not really interested on any of the ones that we will get right now... What I really don't like to see is the stupid comments and complaining little bi***_s about the ammount of Nissans we get, I mean really? If it wasn't for Nissan this program wouldn't exist! Come on guys, they are putting a lot of money into this so why complain?

I never realized this, thanks for that.:tup:So in the mean time, just gold/silver/bronze everything and we should be okay until week 8 then?

BTW, much respect to you R1600Turbo, I don't post much, but I do read everything. You are one helpful/knowledgeable/respectful individual.

Pretty sure you just need bronze for now and you'll be alright for the next round.

OK, I got all gold in round 2 and got the Silvia (Academy Edition)for GT5. Directs to www.gran-turismo.com to get it in GT5.

Of course the website is NOT updated at this time to get the cars in GT5.

I like how it tells you why you got disqualified.
On another note, Canada currently has a better gold average than the US.

And in doing some math it looks like about .1% of both countries are participating. That's actually pretty good.
Not sure what kind of math I was doing, not even close.

No offence to anyone, but seriously? Gold is easy enough to get on first try with a pad, congrats to Canada though I guess.

I can do all the challenges, I'll just be excluded from the final results if that's the case.

We're still working on it. ;)

Am I the only one who instead focused on passing cars rather then acheiving the target time on 1-5?

R1600 when you do all the challenges can we hear your ranks? I'm curious to see where your @ this year also I'm following you this year ;)

^^^^^^^^ same here

can someone tell me how to claim those cars i won on gt academy 2012, i mean i know i go to gran-turismo.com but how?

I think it's awsome they're letting us use a more classic Nissan this time around. Nice that it's not purely about promoting brand new vehicles on the market, makes me wonder about what other oldies we might see pop up in the coming rounds.

Nissan: Please bring back the Silvia!! You need a fun, fuel-efficient sports car for the future. Put your minds together with Renault and show us a concept at next years auto shows!

Completed all the golds. I am beginning to suspect these are just scratching the surface. The last one with the Silvias on the Ring ws a pleasantly challenging one and not only did I pass the cars, I got the gold. *Success Kid Fist*

**** man, I dont know how many tries Ive spent trying to gold the first event, and Im fuggin .009 off the gold. GT5 will be quite the learning curve over shift2 for sure. Definitely should have bought gt5 earlier and at least attempted to practice
