Well got my gold's for the night, definitely gonna be working on getting the times down though, around 1000th or so at most of them, just did the Ring for about 40 minutes and I'm burnt out for now. Should be a lot of fun though for the next few weeks.

Getting around that red Silvia on the 'Ring is incredibly frustrating. It seems like sheer luck whether I can hit the seemingly inch-wide line that exists between slamming into the back of the car and running off the track.

I've only done Round 1 at this point. I don't think my low wheel feedback's doing me any favors, as it scrubs off too much speed. Still easy golds, though.

I dont understand in the first course 1-1 how the fastest guy gains a tenth over my time, all weaving and even hits the grass once...

Alright I'm done for the night. Not at the top of the friend rankings for most of them but at this point I don't really care since it doesn't mean anything. I think for most of them I ended up in the top 200 in the world, so that's good. I just wish we could separate the regions, as I care more about the USA rankings.

Had fun on Round 2-4 though, managed a 31.866 on that. There's one cone though on the 2nd left hand turn that is in the wrong place and I kept barely nudging it.

Haven't done it yet, but if it's like every other collision-based DQ in GT5, it is based on the difference in speed between the two vehicles, with no regard for the actual energy imparted. In other words, you can ram it at +10 mph, but if you graze it at +20, you are DQ'd.

That would explain everything. The better you're doing the more likely you'll get DQ'ed.

Somehow I just magically figured out 2-4. I'm at a 31.811, 4th fastest in America (excluding "Let_Canada_In") and the fastest controller in the world by over 1 tenth. But of course it's only day 1 so that could easily change. I'm only doing this for fun as I'm not old enough to actually participate. I just want the prizes you get for gold and also compare myself to everyone else.

That would explain everything. The better you're doing the more likely you'll get DQ'ed.

That is certainly one way to look at it. Some of the GT5 license tests were a real pain in the a$$ to gold thanks to that little "feature."

This was a good warm up! 1 thing I found annoying. Why bother have the abs on/off options if the brake balance is not adjustable on the fly.....

I can't play without it. The ps3 wireless headphones are well worth the money in my opinion.

Man, I'm getting some good times on the leaderboards, espically with a DS3.

The S15 with ABS off with TCS set on 1 is a challenge, because the car wants to drift everytime you turn the stick, espically on 2-5 trying to pass the other S15s on the 'Ring.

Finished Round 2. Glad that round's available now, since I'll be moving next week.

2-4's a pain, especially the cones on the second left. Tight S corners are just not my strength.

I actually managed a 39.5 on 2-5 without touching either car. It's doable, but whoever thought this test was a good idea for GT Academy should have their car crushed, and replaced by a Yugo.

@R1600 You can get a clean 2-5 low 39 time ! But for rank 1 yes driving like a douche will get you the rank 1 time .
