**** man, I dont know how many tries Ive spent trying to gold the first event, and Im fuggin .009 off the gold. GT5 will be quite the learning curve over shift2 for sure. Definitely should have bought gt5 earlier and at least attempted to practice

If you mean the very first of the first Round, then simply keep it pinned when launching, and then follow the inside line.

Also make sure you're keep smooth in the turn, if you keep "bumping" through the turn its gonna kill your speed, and also if you use Traction Control turn it off.

Is TC needed on any of the cars? Not familiar with GT5, but in Forza I hardly ever used it even in pretty powerful cars and in iRacing there's no option to use it...so I assume it's just best to have TC via the right foot? Eh, guess I'll find out when the PS3 shows up.

I only use TC on LMP cars. I also play Forza.

I usually have tc on 1 but slower cars and awd cars I turn it off. Some cars are crazy powerful though so tc is a must.

Your turbo boost meter. I think that's what your talking about.

Is there no way to see North America only leaderboards? I see the drop down menu for "Region" but I can't select it.

i keep tc on 1 just in case it's a dead start, but otherwise at 1 it doesn't interfere with putting power down in the turns

Hmm, still can't download the 1.01 update. Something must be up with the network. I would assume those that are already in that haven't downloaded the update times will not count.
