The rounds are quite easy there is just a lot of cutting corners and making advantage of cars ahead and you should get gold easy

I loaded one of the top ten ghost replays for the "Hammerhead" GTR event and discovered that people are scoring sub 15.9 second times by cheating. They immediately put their car outside the markers (On the concrete area to the right side of the track) before entering the hammerhead. This gives them a better entry to the corner, but it's clearly outside the barriers. Despite the fact that these rounds aren't competitive, I still hope PD recognizes what's going on.

I am not bothered if people want to cheat it just means there learning less than if they were on the Normal racing line.

I got Gold in all Round 6 and 7 in less than 30 minutes of play it should be straight forward. Good luck to you

My Playstation died last night 
- perfect timing ! Seems the power supply is no longer breathing... I had already contacted Sony to do an exchange of my original 60gig "brick" for a failing vgu and then this happened. Return box should be here tomorrow and already paid the $99 for the 160gig slim exchange/upgrade but I am kind of nervous that they will drag their feet.. Here's to hoping they don't !!

Hardest one i encouterd was 6-4 had quite awhile there before i even had gold it was the first event i got a bronze at my first try in the whole acadamy but i got 22.572

I've been busy with life and haven't been able to play gt5 in a while and after going through the first 4 rounds and Golding them I'm still not fast like I should be. Any ideas on how to whip myself into shape before round 8 starts? Should I just keep running the academy or go and play some gt5?I mean I don't have a shot but is like to give it my best at least.

So do "default settings" include NO bungee mod? Been thinking about modding my pedals, but I'm not sure it'd be a good idea for me just on the freak chance I actually make it to the top 32....
Haven't played GT since '06-'07, so I bought a PS3 and GT5 specifically for this competition. When I'm not doing the Academy challenges I've been working on the game trying to get all my golds in the license tests. The GT5 challenges are MUCH harder to gold than the Academy challenges. That wet surface acceleration/braking test almost had me throwing things.

They used the DFGT last year and that wheel is also more obtainable to the general public due to it's low price point, so a majority of people will be using them during the time trial competition. They are also easier to replace if one happens to break while being used on any of Sony's 1,000's of gaming rigs they use to showcase the game.
