See, I thought my first lap would always be a tad slower, and people were saying it was all just in my head, tsk tsk tsk. I'm good now, I just needed to hear it from someone else.

I myself been doing too many one lap runs thinking it didnt matter will have to start trying a second and third lap i guess see what happens.

You still planning on joining us in GTRRL Jett.

Darn it lol double post sorry accident.

The best I can achieve with ABS set to one is a 35.399. Without ABS....36.064 :banghead:

I will try to improve my non ABS skills tomorrow, I'm sitting at 1035th place in the US, and 10,288th in the whole world.

Why lol. I dont see the point of not using abs on 1, its not like your helping yourself or cheating. Basically all cars have abs.

I was also wondering if anyone thinks being wireless right now with my connection would it make a difference if i hardlined it for the time trial?

Meh, not a fan of the track, mostly due to the cones. With the amount of time aliens have to perform that one perfect freak of a lap and with long flat-out stretches I'm fairly certain it's gonna take at least some low 30.x to get to the finals. 29s won't surprise me in the end.

29's are not going to happen. At all.

Oh hi I've missed you Jett, why be a stranger?

Dude, it's been soooo long! I see you online all the time, but you're never in a room, otherwise I'd join ya from time to time.

Gotta let me know if you think there's a difference, I'm still not completely sure either. As for the GTRRL, I think I may just end up joining any team in the 500s at this point, doesn't matter which.

Ok no problem was just checking with you. I see your boy velocity is joining 300's too.

All of my fast laps are on lap 1, I usually hit a cone on lap two or something, I thought someone said that the tire warmth didn't matter in GTA? Ugh...time to do a "warm up lap" before pushing it.

Can't you just spin your tires before the first turn before the start, then hit reverse and spin again, back and forth till you feel your tires are ready, I've been doing that thinking it works, but I may be wrong, and just spinning them for the fun of it, lol

Yeah, him and Stig are gonna be all buddy buddy in that deal, I'm all by my lonesome now. Not like I cared, he'd slow me down anyways >>

Same here, they've all been on lap one, but I'm just wondering... does that mean I could of been able to go that much faster? Sometimes I'll keep going and it's easier to go faster, so wondering if it's the tires, or you're just in your rhythm.

We shall see. I'm somewhat certain that they will, given that top time is almost down below 31, not even two days after the start.

Yes but you are talking about picking up over another second. Another second is not there on this track i guarantee it.

I can do 1:32s but 1:31s look so far away lol, when I am following the ghost it is literally just a few car lengths ahead, which is good for a race, but in a TT that second feels like eternity. I guess I shouldn't expect much after neglecting sim racing since the last GT Academy.

1:33:256 and 198th place, about where i was last year i think. I'm sure that if left it there, it'll drop further. I can't seem to get any movement on that time either. I get close to it, but that's about it. Not a real big fan of the track choice and the cone placement. But i do get it.

You might as well just do a lap, you'll get more use out of your time that way because you get to practice.

I'm not sure if there's actually a difference on cold tires, but in my head there is, so I always perceive having a tad more grip in the first few turns when I'm on hot rubber.

I'd like to know how people are going flat out through turns 4 & 5. I just can't do it and that's where I'm losing all my time.

Not that I can do it either but it seems to be all about the angle you come out of three and attack four. The fastest guys seem to get it perfect to the mm, missing the cone on the inside of four by the tiniest margin.

I guess, but for some reason I've never done a full second lap, I always carry too much speed into turn 3, I don't know why, but I do every time.

You talking about the S turn i have got dead even with #1 in the world all the way to entrance of last corner and tried to get back to accelerator too early and lost rear grip and ruined the whole lap. But that S turn is hard to judge just right if you do you can stay full throttle but when you are about to enter S i go half throttle then once i get lined up i go full throttle. Then in middle of S i shift up to 4th.

Does it really help your time coming out of turn 6 to go over the curb and into the grass? I'm hitting low 1'33's i just cant break that 1'32 barrier.

R1600Turbo
One feature I hate this year: Having to restart on cold tires when you hit a cone.

After you've hit a cone and displaced it, should PD reset the track when you finish a lap? That could work.

YES! Not to your question, but what you asked! I have the EXACT same problem, and I would greatly appreciate some helpful advice! I can run 1:33.1xx's all frick'n day, but can't seem to break free of them!

Using the grass as run off on T6 doesn't seem to do much. If you hit the corner right, you don't need to use anything but the track/rumble strip. I did notice one time the grass was dragging my RPM's down a bit, but from cockpit+zoom it's hard to see my ghost and tell how much time I'm losing right off the bat.
