Finally back to the bubble spot which I guess is actually 30th. I've been chasing lharrison's ghost and was ahead of until the last turn. If I get that turn right I believe I have a .0xx in me. So does everyone else though. Lol.. Actually gonna call it a night by 11 and get up early so I can be nice and fresh for an all day stint tomorrow. I don't think I have any fingernails left to chew on at this point.

I finally bettered my time to a .187 but the ghost i was using i finished just ahead was a .154. Tell me how upset i was to see a .187 lol.

Aaahhh, you tied me! You and I have been right next to each other in this final round, so I guess it's only fitting. These time are ridiculous though. I think the national finals are going to be so close, because with the draft in GT .3 is nothing.

Yeah i noticed that.:) I will give it another shot after league race tonight.

I think the guys that race in series/leagues/fast rooms often will have an advantage. More experience in working the draft and passing.

I wish we had a "like" button here. You nailed it. League racers will have a nice advantage at the Finals. 👍

I cant nail clean laps for the life of me. I am so rusty its ridiculous. My friend told me I should have been on GT5 everyday since the last GT academy, I didn't listen, I havent touched GT5 since the last GTA lol now I am paying for it!

Gt academy is the only time I play GT. If I happen to make it I'm gonna get smoked during the races. Especially on GT specific tracks.

I havent played any sims since the last GT Academy and for some reason I keep botching simple turns. I have nailed every corner perfectly, just not in the same lap haha, I hit maybe 3 turns perfectly then botch the rest. I am sure if I spent more time playing anything I would be able to keep some consistency haha

I would expect Forcednduckshn to run practice lounges leading up to the finals like he did last year.
Take advantage of that if you make the bubble

I'm going to be spending all the free time I have practicing each track, and entering some races. Yay for being a shut-in!

I don't think anyone under 31.2 has anything to worry about. You're underestimating the magical unicorn quality of those 31.0's

I hope so im still gonna try and get a little better of a time. I just now was ahead of .154 ghost by 2 cars and blew it. This game can get so frustrating sometimes. But either way this competition has been lots of fun.

About an hour ago, I was sitting 20th on a .203 and was uber nervous the whole day.
I skipped dinner and jumped back wheeling around my DFP, now I'm 9th with a .153.

Now I can finally sit down and enjoy dinner while catching up on F1 Valencia Qualifying on DVR, well, for the moment that is.

Good luck, you're gonna need it :). This year's GTA is a memory that I will never forget. All of the challenges that pushed you to do your absloute best were tough and a few were getting to me also, but it's something that we all had fun in doing and I wish all the luck to those who are going to compete in the national finals and beyond to keep on racing and never give up.

Whoever wins this year's Academy, you'll be living the dream.

BROHAM
Bah, i've already put it through my head that im not making it, music won't help me now. lol

Well, I thought it would help also. This song always get on the move though. I know I'm not making it this year since at of things in my life were taking much of my time and then the need to have a passport. So I won't be racing with the other GT Academy winners, but next year I'm going at it again.

Sorry for the double post.

I think I know why I'm botching the last turn. I keep heading towards the Pit Entry to get new tires and the rear suspension inspected. I swear I hear some loose nuts and I've tightened the nut behind the wheel so tight my skull might crack. :dunce: Seriously though I've led my ghost into the last turn so many times it's spooky. This last section makes me actually miss Fuji. :scared: But even as bent as this car is I am loving the challenge. Alright, looks like delirium has set in. Time for more caffeine and less sleep!
