Aaahhh, you tied me! You and I have been right next to each other in this final round, so I guess it's only fitting. These time are ridiculous though. I think the national finals are going to be so close, because with the draft in GT .3 is nothing.

Sorry but we not tied anymore your turn to come tie me now.
I barely beat my time but moved up 3 spots so thats good i ran a .178.

I'm sorry guys, I just haven't updated my times out of sheer superstition. I worked for sooo long today for this tenth, I'm so happy.

I have no idea whether it'll make it or not, but for now, this is how I feel:

I have been out last few days riding miles on my bike and stopped drinking soda for like a week and a half now. I need to lose some weight lol.

If you want to get into shape quickly and are willing to spend some money look into P90X. It is amazing and can feel and see differences within a couple weeks. I do it plus running.

It sucks not being able to compete this year even though I would've been going for top 100 not 32 but at least I can live vicariously through people I race with and know. Good luck in the final hours all.

Go Eddie. I'm cheering for you to make it. I know your national finals reports would be epic. :sly:

Throwing in the towel, after 12 hours of racing the best I could do is match my 1.32.214. For 254th place. The second turn has been my downfall, the rest of the track I nail perfect but I can't get that perfect drive through the Essses. It has been a pleasure competing with you guys...best of the best right here!

Good Luck to all who make it!

Time for the final push. Ten hours to knock down .200. Hopefully I can bang it out relatively quickly. I was knocking on the door of a zero last night. I'm pretty confident I can make it happen. Good luck to everyone that's still pushing hard.

I am not there yet, but if I do make it this will be my reaction:

Well, I seem to have completely forgotten how to drive in the span of a few hours. Can't even break into 1:31.9s any more. I'm using the exact same braking points as before, but half the time I find myself slowing WAY too much before even turning in. So I decide to try braking a tiny bit later next lap but now I can't slow down enough. Third solution: brake at my normal points but release the brake pedal a little sooner, except now the car thinks I'm trail braking and the back snaps out and scrub off all my speed. WTF happened to me? I actually thought I had a chance this year. :/

Congrats on the lap Eddie. I think that should be good enough.

Nice job Eddie!

I don't understand what's wrong with me. Yesterday I was on the verge of running a 1:31.2xx all day long. Today, I can't even break out of 1:32.xxx. :(

31.69, 31.65, 31.9, 31.8, 32.0, 31.565 :dopey:

And that's with a tank slapper right before the 2nd overpass. Even when I run my best lap, there's a mistake in there.

Finally cracked the 31s. 1:31.995. Just dont see how to knock off another .7 I hit every corner the best I ever have and strung a whole lap together.

This competition has been a bit demoralizing. By the time I knock off .2 32nd place improves by .2 :(

Oh well. It was fun. Maybe next year. Congrats to all who qualify for the finals.

31.544 with screwing up the same corner as my .565 lap. Even though I feel I can break the 500 barrier, I'll be watching NASCAR, and there's less than 4 hours left. If that's all I could do, then I've exceeded my wildest expectations. I went from struggling with 32.3's to running consistent 31s. :)

Anyone care to make predictions on the cutoff time? .223's my guess.

I'm in the same boat. Got to a 1:31.640 and I can see the extra time on the track, but I find the car/driving style frustrating. I'm also convinced someone put the aero pieces on the car upside down...

Congrats to the top 32; enjoy the finals 👍

I'm right there with you man. My PB is actually a 32.4 and that was on a lap where I drifted the entire second and third turn haha I spent a few hours yesterday trying to make some magic happen but I am so out of practice I can't push the car to the limit without messing up somewhere in the lap. I have only spent 2 sessions trying to put a time down for 8-5, I am positive I can hit 1:31s thats not an issue, but I know I am too out of practice to hit the whole lap perfectly to hit a low 1:31.

I am out of shape anyways, so even if I had my skills tuned to make it all the way, I would be mad that I wasn't in good enough shape to have a real shot at it. I am probably going to take this more seriously over the next year since I see how attainable it all really is, I suggest everyone else to do the same.
