- Later on we were given a race car for the first time it was the GTR GT3 on the Silverstone grandprix circuit for a one lap shootout.
- we had lunch and they told us to prepare ourselves for the media test which consisted of few questions for each contestant in the likes of why did you compete in GTA and why do you think you are worth to qualify to Silverstone.
- Later on the told us to be prepared for the fitness test which consisted of the following:
1-Bleep test done on a football field were we had to run from the field mid line towards the goal line on beeps which pace goes faster each time. I remember that the winner did reach level 12 if I'm not mistaken.
2-Plank Test
3-Push up Test
this concluded day 1 of the competition
Day 2:
- Elimination round were 10 of the contestant were chosen to leave the competition
- We saw the preparation of a big tent from the hotel windows that will serve to be our final ceremony location in an opposite big parking area along with the placing of cones for the real driving test.
-Simulation round 2 consisted of:
10 laps on the suzuka east circuit in a R35 GT3 for consistancy
1 lap shootout using R35 GT4 on spa francoshamps using confort soft tires
- we later headed to the now built up tent for the real driving challenge
the course consisted of 4 slaloms followed by 2 360's around big yellow cones (picture) and a box stop
you get the chance to do one practice run with the assistance of a coach from Yas Marina circuit don't remember his name sorry .
Usage of handbrake proved essential even though your main objective was to cover the course as flawless as possible without hitting any cones.
The car used was a 350 Z with manual gearbox.
This concludes all challenges. We then had lunch and the finals ceremony which saw 6 of the best 28 qualify to Silverstone.
