Trying to get into 2:01.xxx with a fully stock R32 GTR is very much challenging and more fun than just go for gold.

PD should implement a platinum time at TTs...

Even better if PD also disable all tuning for GTA seasonals, everybody have the exact same car, not just with slightly higher pp limit on the current TT.

Tuning was already disabled for the Academy. I'd rather have the option to tune a car I now own.

There's no reason not to use the same rules as GTA, with no tuning for these TT, it will be more like GTA event where all driver have the same car, than the usual TT. I'd much prefer everyone on the same level, this is GTA car seasonals event after all and we could still have tuning for races on GTA seasonals.
The PP limit for the TT now felt like half baked effort from PD, the limit is very close to stock car PP, what's the point of allowing tuning if PD tried to limit PP very close to stock car PP ? Maybe PD forgot to put it, while they set the PP limit.

Either way, doesn't matter to me. Had a quick 30 min. go at this last night after my initial 15 min. try at this when it opened and managed a 2:01.846. Pretty fun track, I must say.

The point of a low PP limit is very clearly to allow drivers to tune(and use the power limiter) because the GT Academy ended. Bragging rights are still bragging rights whether you tune or not. I accept what they have given us. You don't accept it. I agree that we disagree.

You can borrow them from people to do the seasonal events, however they can't be traded/gifted so you won't actually be able to own the cars.

If you're talkiing about the race, no tune is needed. It can be done stock with stock settings. I did it with nothing but an oil change and I am no alien driver. The TT can be golded stock also however I think someone did post a tune a few pages back if you need one.

Very helpful. the event is only a week long, this person askes for help, and you all talk about how good a driver you are. Not everyone car be as fast as you and may need a little help from time to time... but I am sure all of you are just awesome 👍

^^ he is the one that asked for help. I just get a little fed up with people bragging about how awesome they are, when some just need help.

You can make life easier by simply adding cheap removeable parts like sports ECU. If that's not enough try a tuning exhaust (that's what I did) or a mid/high power range turbo charger. If that still doesn't help you could get a suspension tune on the tuning forums, but I doubt that since you're just 0.2 behind.

Edit: Oh snap, you're talking about the time trial which has limited allowed PP right? Sorry. Nevermind.

If so, that's really sad..

There may be a time when you can trade them or get them in a DLC....but that's simply a 'maybe'. I'm not sure when and how previous Academy cars became available so I couldn't answer that.
