GT Academy Prize Car Seasonal

Sir what exactly do you need? Help tuning? Or a car to borrow?

Most everyone here is friendly and happy to help.:) (even me ):sly:

^^^ This. If you don't want to do irreversible mods on your car, borrow mine. I usually do at least weight reduction, and often as much tuning as is allowed under the rules. And once I've run the event, I put 'em up for sharing.

^^ he is the one that asked for help. I just get a little fed up with people bragging about how awesome they are, when some just need help.

I never meant to imply everyone were mean. Just a few, and the tuning forum guys could help 👍

Hey my friend, never said I was good nor did I ever brag saying I was good. Matter of fact, I even said I was no alien driver. I gave him the only advice I knew of and even told him there was a tune a few pages back, all he had to do was look. So, hop up off my ass and get off your high horse there buddy. I help out alot around here and I don't need someone like you on my ass.

I'm not on your ass.

I was in a bad wreck awhile back and my motor skills are not what thay where (not looking for pitty, just saying). When someone comes for help and most say how easy it is with a stock car, how is that help?

I know you help. You put your cars on share for those who don't have them. You also try and help with pointing people to the help they need. Just a few post rubbed me the wrong way, and I felt I needed to point out that help was asked for, not how easy it was for everyone.

That is all, I hope no hard feelings, and you and everyone else can help for the next week seasonal.

Whoa whoa, settle down, you guys. I got it earlier by using a 6-speed close ratio transmission and a fixed height suspension. Well, that and several attempts.

Final time - 2:05.76

I was 0.04 seconds slower then you

Finally got gold! I thought I was out cold on this with a best lap of 2:07 that I could barely keep up with... but with a change to 6 speed close ratio, and fixed sport suspension, and following a leaderboard ghost, I Finally got 2:05.453... I think my best gain, was from keeping away from too much accelerator...

Improving 1:59.870

You think if I learn to use the manual transmission can cut one second my time? Please do not be mean to me.

Lol, nobody is going to be mean to you. And yes, learn how to use manual trans, it will help your lap times greatly. Don't expect to see immediate improvements tho as it takes time to learn if you've never used manual before. Good luck and keep at it, you'll get there. Peace.

I decided to have another go at Eifel. After about a half hour I improved to a 1:58.4xx, then a 1:58.39x. The next lap was a 1:58.36x and 3 laps later a 1:58.339. I'm still not happy as my sector times prove I'm capable for a podium finish with Amo and Yinato :)

Well, like my dad used to tell me when I was your age, you better get your ass in gear, times wastin', lol.

Under 2 minutes is darn quick already. :)

Some cars benefit from standard transmission more than others. IMO this car does very well with auto. I don't drive auto but I base this on the fact that I'm manually shifting right at redline which I presume is where the auto will shift.

For some cars the rev limit is well above the redline and usually it's better to rev it near the limit for best times.

And of course there are those cars like the autozam that need to be shifted well below the redline.

Thanks for your comments, I've gotten a lap of 1:59.659 to one thousandth of the top 50. :grumpy:

I get very nervous on the last corner and lost time. :dopey:

Got 2:00.038 after 10 laps. Not bad
1:59.758 3 laps after ^^

just i did about 5 laps on the time trial and came up with a 1:23.5 for my first session of attemps... not near has hard as the R32 one... was able to do it with just fixed sport suspension and ECU flash. those tight blind turns are pretty tough and there is one section toward the first of the track where the car bogs going uphill like it has no power.. i backed the transmission top speed gearing down to about 150mph to try to shorten everything up but still boggy

Yes and on some of those blind off cambers that go up then back down your car skips.

anyone got a good tune for the 350z with good grip? This sucker keeps spinning out on me. I got the speed to easily win but yep can't win running into a wall...lol Thanks!

My first Leaderboard!! I got to #165, I think there's time left on the track but I'm just happy enough as is! :D Woohoo!

Finally Mt ASO has be one of my fav's,
sofar did a 1:21.1 with a ruff tune i quick setup think I could find nearly another second myself.

I'm going to work on one tomorrow. I tried the tune a few posts up just as a quick tune and it was way, way too loose for me, like driving on ice, lol. Ended up going back to the stock setup for now. I'll try to have it up by tomorrow night.

1:20.3 almost nearly a second faster than before.
Try my tune atleast it'll be a starting point

Thank goodness the mount aso track is short, I did it in 1:23:233. Good enough for me. Not my car, not my track. :)

Mt Aso TT, 5 laps in with the 370z, 321Hp, 1530kg, 461pp, fully stock - no tuning whatsoever, BB 9/6, 1:22.588, this is with some sideways on the hilly section and very slow last sector .. a better run would have at least 1:20.xxx

EDIT : Another couple of laps run, increase the BB to 10/7, I managed to better my time again 1:21.797, still with some sideways action around few corners.
