GT Academy Prize Car Seasonal

I've adjusted to Lewis's tune and I have huge potential to pass him. I've been 1 tenth faster on sectors 1, 2, 3, and 2 tenths quicker on sector 4. So my possible best lap might be a low 1:17.3 or high 1:17.2 :)
My current best is a 1:17.844 .019 behind Skilex and .021 behind Lewis.

Taken the lead!!!!! 1:17.753!!!! My 1st sector was very embarrassing as you might see if you follow my ghost but I nailed the rest of the track! :D

The first 350Z won in a time of 10:00:570 (and I came second in 10:02:964).

I found the car far too slippery before adding 1.7 & 1.8 (or thereabouts) camber with the intermediate suspension upgrade. It's much more predictable now through corner and corner exits. I should probably have gotten the fully-adjustable suspension and messed with toe a bit, but a challenge is OK.

Edit: I have most reversible upgrades.

2nd race:
AI: 9:59:629
Me: 9:59:327

On the 4th lap, I took second and it was just the AI lead car ahead by about 2 seconds coming into the last lap. Instead of being an easy win, he went faster and faster until I reached his slipstream on the final corner and passed him with 100m to go.

that look like sport soft camber then sport hard camber because you using the stock tires so the car not gonna grip any better until you make the front a little bit stiffer then the rear while making the suspension firm.extra rear toe is fine but not too much or the car gonna be too stable.i add extra camber when i using gripper tires but for sport hards,i use a little bit more camber.

I just saw that Yinato had passed me so I decided to try to improve my time some more. I'm now sitting on a 1:17.583 while Yinato is at a blazing fast 1:17.173! Well done friend :)

Fun time trial! Got gold fairly easy enough (compared to the last time trial event which I only golded on the the very last day...) Tomorrow, I will do the race portion...

I know, the skyline one is a absolute pain in the butt

I truly am stuffed! I cant get better than 4th on Toyko! please if anyone out there that has please share your tune as I feel I have tried nearly all even with TC on 7!

Use only Abs 1 and manual. 👍

TC on 7 might be too much - it cuts power way too often that way.

I have my best runs with TC off or TC on 1. With these tires, TC on 2 did me great - the car can slide around *a bit*, and get a touch of wheelspin, but it's not cutting power every time I hit the fun pedal.

I ran TC=2, ABS=1

Mods were Stage 1 weight reduction, and then 95kg of ballast added at the rear to bring the car's balance to 49F/51R. Power reduced to around 318hp, final drive @ 5.500, top speed set at 155mph.

You can do this. I'm a hack, and I managed it in a half dozen tries.

With the race, the usual reversible mods will ensure winning as long as the car can lap TokyoR246 in less than 2 minutes. For the TT, a bone stock 370z will do the gold just fine. No weight reduction is ever necessary for gold, but if you want to compete with the TT leaderboards, anything goes :) - even active steering.

Is it possible without weight reduction? I don't wanna use a restore ticket.

Restore tickets don't get rid of permanent mods.

Definitely possible without weight reduction, but not for me. :)

Restore tickets won't undo weight reduction or engine tuning, but since these aren't zero-mile cars and aren't tradable, I figure might as well make 'em as usable as possible!

Oh, and I may have misunderstood the post I replied to a few replies up; I was referring to the Time Trial with the 465pp restriction. For the Tokyo race, I upped the power quite a bit.

If anyone doesn't want to mod their own car, feel free to use mine. All my cars were meant to be driven! :D

I did all reversible mods to increase power, close ratio trans, but left suspension stock. There are some that feel suspension mods don't help.

No permanent mods.

ABS1 and TCS1. Don't use high TCS because it takes throttle control away from you and you need throttle control with this car on sport hard tires.

I beat the race by 5 seconds.

I didn't use SRF but if you can't make it without then use it.

That Tokyo race was hard. AI finished in 9:59.xxx all the time. I really dislike the track and I'm not too fond of the 370Z either. Had to tune everything except for non reversible mods to win the race by 0.3 seconds. Took me around 10 tries to nail it. The TT was easy.

Done about 12 Laps on mount ASO today.
Could inkt make One count.
Still need 1 second tot gold. :(

With a little tuning I got a 1:21.444 sitting at 892nd. Highest I've been when a time trial has been out over a day.

If you have not already put the driving line on, just as a guide.
I used TCS on 2
Set max speed to 143mph( dont know kmh)

Good luck!

Use the roof cam. You get a much better view of the track ahead.

Using the roof cam my first lap ever on this track was gold.

You're almost there. If you've got the driving line on, you can take some liberties with the braking zones EXCEPT when you're doing one of the off-camber downhill turns just after a rise; those will throw you wide if you're not very careful. I tend to let off the gas a bit as I approach the rise, then dab the brake just before the crest as I turn into the curve.

Just getting through those tight curves without sliding or slowing way down will net you another second, easy. Once I got it right, I was hitting the uphill after turn one at 91mph or so - if I did it wrong, 83mph was the norm, so that's a huge difference right there, just on how you hit the first turn.

You can totally do this time trial. Just string together some good sections, and keep at it.

For km/h, multiply mph X 1.61
For mph, mulitply km/h X 0.62.
