GT Academy Prize Car Seasonal

Your lucky
Yes he is I like the 512 bought 2 recently 1 untuned 1 full tuned.

I had one already and didnt like it

Ive already started devloping the R34 for the next time trial runnig it at the AWD sesonal getting a good tune down.
Im a huge R34 fan so ive been tuning these things since the game was releaced :sly: Any ideas what the PP is gonna be for the R34 TT ?

Probably around 5 points above stock. That's what the others have been running around. I ran the tt first this time so I could tune however I wanted to for the race.

If you have not already put the driving line on, just as a guide.
I used TCS on 2
Set max speed to 143mph( dont know kmh)

Good luck!

Thank you, but I keep the academy cars stock.
And never use the drive line.

I'm sure I'll find the second somewhere this week.
And if I don't, than another change next week in another car and another track ;)

No big deal.

@ HaylRayzor and Kwicko: that's some useful advice. I'll try that.

Edit: after the morningcoffee I had another go, and tot 1:24.3xx :D

finally beat the tokyo race after half a day..
but had to use some upgrades: ecu, race filter, sports intake and catalyst.
stock tune on everything else and no driver aids (except abs1).

i think it's possible to complete gold with a stock car but you really need to time it so that you always get a tow on the home straight.. only managed to finish within 8 seconds (5th) before I started adding on the upgrades.

total lap time about 9:56 (2:01, 1:58, 1:58, 1:58, 1:59)
AI: 9:59

just happened to get in a nice groove and managed to be about 2 seconds behind 1st as I started the final lap. took it over a bit awkwardly just before the 180 bend near the stadium.. also had a bit of a wobble on the fast left hander before the tight hairpin hence the slower time.

probably one of the hardest seasonals i've experienced.. hopefully the next gt academy seasonal doesn't take as long to gold -__-

I had a feeling when it said unlimited tuning that the race was going to be a tougher one.

The R246 race was tough - Used a set up posted here, Suspension and LSD. Cut the mustard with no ABS no traction control (SEVEN as standard... You are spoiling us Mister Ambassador) None of the steerig assist - I almost Wish I had the GPS map thing-a-ma-jig as it was a bit tough to learn the track by eye.

Time trial was fun learning the track, but even a pootle about was within a second of Gold. Just clean and Tidy and smooth and Gold was severl seconds behind.

- Fun was had.

It was some of Endless Wilso's Didn't do any gearbox or weight reduction stuff. Seemed to improve the car over my first go though.

This was what I used of Endless WIlso's set up. It is only a slight tweak, and not the full EW change. But I used it as the you can swap back out again.

LSD 10/25/5
Ride height
-6 front and back
7.0/7.6 spring
3/4 ext
3/3 comp
5/6 ARB
camber 2.4/1.4
toe -14/.10

With no driver aids the car seemed to be just right, sort of floating in longer corners as the back end just broke away first. almost four wheel drifts.
I set the BB to 3/2 but this is up to the driver, and very personal.

I did it with TC 0 and ABS 1 took me about ten goes though you need to learn the track well and corner at high speed with minimal drift, drifting alot will lose you lots of time my laps were 1.58 - 159 from lap 2-5 any higher than low 159,s and you may as well restart

I used ecu and exhaust upgrades as completely stock was a nightmare no SRF

Ik this is the best gt academy 2012 seasonal ever so far

All upgrades except the non-reversable so I can put it back to stock after. Lap times 1.58-59 will win it. Passed the first place car on the last straight.

For the time trial, only thing I did was get a full customized gearbox. Haven't done the race yet though.
Only prob I can see with all the power upgrades is the grip, or lack thereof of the tires.

Same here. Pretty good event, I turned a 1.58.4 on the very last lap. I was roasting tires on the first few tries and had just a little too much understeer on the faster corners.

Where is this tune? I looked through this thread but didn't see it. Can someone link it?

I did it last night completely stock with oil change (after about 10 tries). AI was always doing 10:00, and I managed to do a first lap of 2:02 and then 1:59/2:00 depending on availability of slipstream. Managed to juuuust get a hold of the leader's slipstream coming out of the last turn, and beat him to the line by 0.01 seconds. Didn't know I had made it until the results came up.

There is really no room for error on this one.

A tough one this one! I found stiffening the suspension and adding 20kg ballast as forward as poss, adding some camber and toe in to the wheels enabled me a 2.01 first lap, laps of 1.59 for the rest, catching the leader at the final corner.

At long last Done the Toyko with TC= 2 SRF on, All upgrades except the non-reversable & Standard Suspension with 6 Speed Close Ratio Transmission. Drafting & being carful is easy win & now gonna lower PP to see how low I can go :) thank frack for getting it done its a hard one.

I was unable to find it also, can anyone help, please?

I've got a 1:22:0XX, but would like to see if I could improve something, because I'm still getting used to my G27(2 months old but haven't practice in the last 3 weeks, have been on vacations)

Tunes are on page 20(endless-wilso) and page 21(lewis hamilton).

I just found them in 5mins?(hint-hint)

I saw that I've fallen out of the top 5 earlier today. I knew that wasn't going to last very long though. I'm at a 1:17.178 to get me up to 4th, 6 tenths behind the top 3 of Amo, Yinato, and Silex

Yep, Tokyo's a tough one. Closest I've come is 5 seconds away in 3rd with a stock car and of course no aids. I think I can do it but I'm not sure. It'll take some work to find out. I might even need to change the oil which would be a first for these.

It's a nice challenge although it does make me wonder whether they are actually aware of the level of difficulty in their events or whether they just set them up however it plays out depending on how well AI can drive the track. I have a feeling that if the track was Cape Ring they wouldn't adjust anything to make it this difficult. I also wouldn't be surprised if the remaining events are a fair bit easier. Still, the challenge makes it pretty fun... for a time trial with parking obstruction cars.

I have a question, why not use chassis reinforcement and their tunes.

It's bad or makes you slower.
