GT Academy Prize Car Seasonal

Stealth & Chromeline cars can't be deleted from the garage, what you can do however is delete your installed game data (not save data), reinstall it then go to your download list in account management and redownload them. They will pop up in your garage brand new, 0/0/0 and with no modifications.

Going through the process for the second time now. First time, I deleted the game data, immediately redownloaded the DLC, and then installed the game. Well, a couple of hours later, my Chromeline cars were still modded and have mileage.

Second time, I deleted the game data and immediately began installing. First comes the update... Waiting

EDIT: After the install, the cars were still in the game, because they were in my save data. I was able to delete them (hit Trianglw). After I deleted them, I went back into transaction management and downloaded them again. All are
Brand new!

I have a 2012 370Z and it's nowhere near as unruly as the one in the game ... my tires don't slip and squeal on 80 mph corners like they do in game. In fact the real 370Z has crazy amounts of mechanical grip, but you would never know it from playing GT5.

This is a GTA version of the 370Z, so maybe its tuning is different. Matter of fact, I don't remember the 370Z in the game being this unruly.

Since this has become the one and only thread for GTA Seasonals, would it benefit the community if the thread author would update the first post with popular setups?

This 370Z is a serious pain in the (_|_) to drive!!!

I did GT Academy using the DS3 and its was a hell!
After that I bought a T500RS (actually I wanted the Fanatec CSR Elite but the T500RS costs 1200 usd where I live and a Fanatec combo ~ 2000 usd). Using the wheel I can tell a different history: amazing car, great grip and lots of fun!! But it is not easy to master the wheel at first try and I still struggling sometimes.

Wow the R34 TT is a hard one they set the gold high but i got an ok time in .

Go back to the beginning and do your license tests again. They will help train you with the wheel. Try to avoid high powered cars for a little while. Welcome to the family!

I really dislike SSR5 :(

Good tune man, worked well enough for me to do the TT quite easily. 👍
Thanks man AWD's seen to be my specialty for tuning.
I really dislike SSR5 :(

I love SSR5 one of my top favorites Won it easy first try with my TT tune, but on sport softs.

Has Photobucket failed me ! are my pic's sideways all of a sudden?

FIXED :sly:

Back to bone stock and loving life. Not even an oil change for me! :D

The TT gold time is easy enough. Only missed gold by 3/10 the first lap.

The race is a bit harder with everything stock. Just about right I'd say. Tuning would make it too easy.

It didn't seem that hard for me. Got gold after about 5 laps with no suspension or LSD tuning. The race was pretty easy also. I forget what my time was, just golding these and thats it. Not worried about improving my times for these events.

This is the worst time trial I ever did but the race is one of the best races if you got a good tune

Interesting thoughts above...using car stock except for transmission and suspension tuning with drivetrain upgrades, an easy win in the race taking the lead early on lap 5, found the TT a fair bit tougher. I used VTiRoj's (from RKM Motorsport’s R34 Black Edition) setup. Nice car to drive.

Quick and easy 1st place and the only time under 1 minute so far, but then again, the TT's only been up for a few hours :sly:. Won't stay at #1 for long though, LOADS of mistakes!

Most importantly, here's the set up.... Take note below this picture, I have been using 2 set ups and can't decide which one I prefer, they both have their advantages and disadvantages throughout the track. The alternative one gives a lighter feeling car and eliminates understeer entirely, but the one in the picture gives better grip out of the hairpins for the sake of tiny understeer on a couple of corner exits:

IMAG0249.jpg

For the alternative set up:

*Torque distribution: 25/75
*Front toe to -0.47, Rear to -0.24

Current time with the set up in the picture is 59.770, whereas my best time with set up #2 is 59.779. Only 0.009 difference, so it's entirely down to preference rather than performance.

I really like the flowing nature of the TT Eifel track, so much fun modulating the brakes and throttle, with a fully stock R34 GTR, 467pp, 326hp, 1560kg, with only changes : BB 9/5. No aids at all, that means no ABS too - 1.02.498 in 4th lap, with lots of room for improvements. Going to try shave another second ;)

Thanks for posting Lewis-will try this later as your last 370Z tune suited me and my driving style with the stick.

At this moment #8 on the world, and #1 on my country, Thanks to the Lewis_Hamilton_ for awesome setup.

I drove for 15-20 minutes maybe on this track, when I have some more time I'll try to get less than 1:00. Why a day has got only 24 hours? :(

Thanks a lot for posting your tune. Car runs very smoothly... nice one.👍

Another few laps yield 1:02.180 with some slow 1st half of the track. I reckon another 0.5 - 0.8 second with an almost perfect run with an untuned car. I really like the last half of the track, fast flowing esses and continuous turns, slight braking is all that necessary.

The R34 GTR race at SSR5 is way too easy, even with bone stock R43 GTR. Posting lap times average of 1:37, passing the lead is a breeze... really unexpected after the last Tokyo R256 race with 370Z.
So many corners here, where the AI seems to be driving at slow pace.

Totaly agree.
Was expecting something harder and got surprised of how fast I passed the leader.
Had to double check & almost crash, just to make sure I passed the leader...

Where did you get an R43 GT-R???

Is it fusion powered? Anti-matter?

:lol::lol: R256 Tokyo 2100 AD
R43, compact nuclear fusion reactor - 4500hp with anti gravity hover ability, top speed of over 1500km/h, the future of racing.
Okay, enough fooling around, it was a simple mistype:sly:

I agree the R34 GTR race was very easy. I was running 1:37's stock. Much, much easier than last week's race, where I actually had to tune the car to get the win.

Funny thing is, I was buying some Ferraris and Lamborghinis before the race just to have some multiples and spend some credits. The last car I was going to buy after the race was a Miura for $15 mil. I waited because it was so expensive. So what do I get with my Level 10 class ticket after finishing the seasonal? None other than a Miura! I nearly pooed myself! :dopey:
