Jack has updated on Twitter that Hyperspeed and PrudentBear are in the finals.

:gtpflag:

👍 :)

Congratulations to Hyperspeed and PrudentBear and commiserations to everyone else there today. Thanks again to Jack for the tweets.

:)

New update: Ingram and Davissi into the final 👍

edit: Recap Prudentbear/ Hyperspeed/ Ingram/ Davissi in the final
Track nurburgring in the Tuned 370z

If it's a clean race I honestly do not see anyone touching HyperDan. His racepace is always very good.

Its all over.... No changes to the posistion

GTP_Prudent bear the winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! followed by Ingram Davissi and GTP_Hyperspeed.

Well done lads 👍

Congratulations to GTP_PrudentBear

Actually to all the finalists, seemed a very tough crowd there in the UK.

Well done PrudentBear and Ingram. 👍

Looks like all the GTPers have done us proud.

Roll on Silverstone :)

Where is all the drama?

And no word on GMDLondon or GTDrivers_Moose?! What happened to them? Surely there is controversy somewhere in this plot.

Yep, well done guys, especially to GTP_PrudentBear 👍

I haven't followed each and every region, but of the ones I have, the winner of the competition race has not been the fastest "hot lapper". Just goes to show - you can practice all you like, but one hot lap out of hundreds is no substitute for consistency and the ability to actually handle race pressure.

wrong... EDSKILL made the best lap but i bet there're some guys down the table that made more laps than him (to do a slower time).. ;) so that means.. if you practice more you'll have more chances to be consistent... the more laps you do the better you'll be.. you'll never be worse by practicing.. :P

Congratulations to PrudentBear.. always a good player in my book

looking forward to hear what happened to davissi, EDSKILL, Hyperspeed, Oldbeanee, Maz, stotty, Ian and GMDLONDON... i really hope to hear that everything was fair to them... :nervous:

Just got home (only live 10 miles from Brands), what an AMAZING day :) I'll write more when I've had a chance to relax a bit. Was good meeting a couple of guys from here but to be honest I just kept myself to myself as I just wanted to keep calm so apologies if there were people I should have met who I didn't.

I got knocked out in the first round but it was all fair in my races from what I could see, I have no-one to blame but myself, I had the pace but made stupid errors and I really couldn't get comfortable with the DFGT's.

I only saw one bit of controversy, and that was when hyperspeed got taken out by another top driver in race one of the semi's, but he managed to win race two so managed to progress to the final regardless, most other mistakes were of the drivers own making and not really the fault of anyone else. By and large the racing was very fast and very fair.

To everyone there, thanks for a great day, and getting to go out in the 350 and 370 with Lucas and Alex repectively was an absolute blast, I'd forgotten how much fun paddock bend was.

Just a side note, did anyone else think Lucas was a lot smoother than Alex? Alex nearly binned it at Druids on lap 1 when he took me out LOL.

Good times.

Massive thanks to Sony, Nissan, RJN, Jardine, Brands Hatch and all the rest who gave us all a great day out. The only issues all day involved the actual game itself which they initially had trouble setting up on the network side of things (I was told by the tech guys that it was new code released by PD on Friday), but other than that it went without a hiccup.

Finally, for now, massive well done to PrudentBear and Ingram, and commiserations to Davissi and Hyperspeed, you all drove brilliantly all day long.

Big congrats to Prudentbear!!!!!!!!!!!!!Well done Mate!!!...

Also well done all other racers, cant wait to read all what happened today!!...

spy.

Congratulations to Prudentbear and all GTP participants!

I'm looking forward to read all the details abou your event.

Lucky you, it looks like it's been the best one so far - good organisation, little controversy in the races, a ride in the real Nissans, mingling with Lucas! Awesome!

Wow, what a brilliant 24 hours... hard to know where to start, but I'll have a go until Maz comes along and writes a full scale chapter and verse run down far more eloquently than I can manage - plus he'll remember everyone's name, where as the only ones I can remember are Charlotte and Rebecca ;)

Massive congratulations to John (Prudentbear) and Ingram for being the 2 winners from the UK final... both of them drove fantastically well and both seemed a little shell-shocked during the post race interviews!

Commiserations to the other 2 finalists, David (Davissi) and Dan (Hyperspeed)... I guess you'll both feel a little disappointed, but to get to the final 4 is a great achievement and you should feel proud... plus you got tot drive 2 laps of the 'Ring in GT5 (you lucky sods) 👍

And of course both congratulations and commiserations to the other 16 UK finalists (myself included :D).

Next, I want to give a massive THANK YOU to everyone involved in organising and running the UK event... Jardine, Sony, the Nissan race team, their PR people, Lucas and Alex, the race stewards, the staff at Brands Hatch and of course the barman in the Thistle hotel that served us loads of beers last night :D

In contrast to what I've been reading about some of the finals in other countries, the UK event was superbly organised from start to finish and I'm sure the other finalists will echo my sentiments... Thanks for a great day

Also important to say that IMO, one of the key reasons for day being so enjoyable was that the standard of driving was very high. I'm not saying it wasn't in other countries per se, but there were very few incidents over the day that required the steward to get involved. Other than the High Speed Ring race in round 1, there was very little contact and the contact at HSR is very difficult to avoid given the nature of the track.

Some feedback on the game & races... we ran on GT5, in tuned 370Z on R1's throughout the event, using DFGT's & headphones. The tracks used were Indy & HSR for round 1, Daytona & Fuji for the semi's and Nurburgring for the final... all races were 3 laps except the final, which was 2 laps. The 'Ring looked absolutely awesome... don't listen to the 'cardboard cutout trees' crowd - the graphics of GT5 look AMAZING... the detail, the lighting, the colours... all beautiful :D

Highlight for me? Hmmm, 5 laps of Brand Indy with Lucas in the GT4 350Z was pretty special (Brands is a great circuit, the car is so well balanced and Lucas was peddling it superbly), but more special than that was the opportunity to meet and spend time with my GTPlanet buddies... it was great 24 hours with loads of LOL moments 👍
