Well, considering GTR won't run AT ALL on my laptop (I think mostly because of the ****ty vid card) I figure GTL won't either. :grumpy:
 
I've finally got my PC sorted and GTR is currently the only game installed. It might remain so for a while it's that good. Buy a new graphics card, buy a new PC, and buy a good wheel, GTR is the ONLY game in ages where I feel the cost of upgrading and a controller (ie wheel in this case) is worth it.

Hooray for DFP! This is far more apealing to me than GTR. I just saw the trailer. now if it has decent tracks. Oh and the drifting looks fun.

IMO the tracks shown in the trailer look a bit empty...
According to the site, there should be more than 10 (eleven?? :) ) officially licenced tracks with numerous variations in the game.

Still 3 cars too choose from is pretty generous, aslong as there isn't a time limit (Not that it would last long before a 'fix' appeared ;)...).
 
The demo got leaked tonight... however I (honestly) don't know where it can be downloaded... I found a torrent on Google from BHM but it didn't work, and I won't post a link here if I find one because it's probably against the Terms of Use here... doing y'all a favor ain't worth gettin banned for :sly:

BTW to the people that PMed me last night about a link to the demo, I was being serious when I said I didn't know where to find one lol
 
A lot of people can't get the demo to work, including me, regardless of computer speed. It just reboots the computer as soon as you start it.

I hope Simbin gets to the roots of this soon.
 
Played the demo its pretty decent. The engine sounds are great using my earphones :D

Its great how the car reacts to the track surface and the 'feeling' of the tires completely loosing grip when skidding sideways even on a keyboard...

I'll probably buy it.
 
Tried the demo last night and I'm not impressed!!! :guilty: It is just a demo, so the final game will be better (I hope). The graphics aren't that impressive (and it hasn't anything to do with my PC (it is more than powerfull enough, even with all the options at full), even GTR and GT4 are better (graphics wise, I mean). I can't get my DFP to work correctly, I have no FFB, there is a lot of "deadzone, allthough the controller deadzone says 0%, ..........

It is my fault because I haven"t found the right settings for my LCD screen (it is an older model) 💡 , yet.
 
I am very impressed with the demo, I find this more fun than GTR.

This is exactly what I expected from sinbin although I think they are going for more fun in this game with its career mode where you can buy/sell cars etc.
 
I was extremely impressed with the demo last night. Playing on either amateur with some aids or on pro with apparently all aids off was very rewarding and fun. I've got a Thrustmaster Ferrari FF wheel, it's fresh racing for me since I've only been playing GT4 and Forza in recent months.

Awesome game, awesome graphics, awesome AI, awesome physics, awesome dashboards, definetly gonna buy it.
 
Hehe maybe I'll actually bother to hook up my DF wheel (GT3 wheel) this weekend and give it ago.

The graphics don't look any worse than the GTR press demo to me atleast. The graphics aren't mind blowing or anything but they look nice nonetheless. The track looked abit dull though but I suppose most real circuits do. I'm playing it on near full graphics with the AA on level 2, which I'm guessing is 4x AA by how it looks at 1280 res.

I always use fileshack, much better than fileplanet. The cap is set at 250kb/s for non-paying users. Which is good and the wait is usually less than 1 minute. :)
 
Well, I wasnt too terribly impressed over GTR. Certainly not graphically.
Screen shots always look better than the real thing. I had 'em maxed too.
 
Where the force feedback, it seems to be lacking. I have it set on full.

Also the AI isnt that smart, Ive had them plow into me a few times for no reason, much better than GT4 though. I get alittle lag in graphics at particular spots even know my X800XT souldnt have a problem, but I noticed it does that wether I have 7 other cars with me or im on my own same slow down, so it seems like it just needs optimizing.

1:21 with P880 Saitek gamepad and driving is horror with it. Today I'll try itwith my momo racing :)

Should be 5 sec. faster.
 
Hmm, I've tried the demo but I'm not really convinced yet.
I kinda miss the lack of speed and power there is in GTR. Of course the demo cars are not the most powerful ones featured in the final product, but driving these type of cars isn't my thing..
The graphics are a further improvement over GTR, and the career mode will certainly add to the gameplay.
Will see how the final product turns out though, and then decide to buy or not.
