Season Two is going to be the hardest out of all the seasons. Due to having two racing categories to choose from and each category will have a separate point system. Season Two will not start till maybe the 3rd week of January, I have to make sure that my school schedule will be secured and also I will be in search for a job again after the holidays.

Here are the Official Car Lists that we will be going by during Season Two. ( Please note that the racing car list is still being worked on. The last list had 2 D1GP cars which I thought would be a great idea but will not due. If you have any suggestions on cars to use, please send your suggestions. Thanks! )

Another thing is the sports car list might go under revision as well, have any suggestions? Send them my way, also we will go through another 13 challenges just like the first Season.

I sent you a few car suggestions via PM, but forgot to mention something that psp88 did a few days ago regarding the points. I was excited to use the SuperGT points system when you first announced it, but it seems to have some drawbacks - namely, the spread is a bit too far between 1st and 5th place leading to less parity. That system works in real life mainly due to the weight handicapping system in place whch we can't replicate without making things a bit too complex. Season 1's point system was cool, but it didn't really reward podium finisher as much as it should (SuperGT does this a bit too much).

Maybe something of a hybrid might be workable for Season 2:

15 points for 1st place
12 points for 2nd
9 points for 3rd
7 points for 4th
6 points for 5th
5 points for 6th
4 points for 7th
3 points for 8th
2 points for 9th
1 point for 10th (and all finishers beyond 10th place)

Yeah, I know it's a bit weird but I was trying to give a touch of a bonus to the three podium finishers without making them pull so far ahead of the rest of the racers.

Just some random thoughts popping out of my random brain!



BTW - anyone care to share their current best lap times for this challenge? I sure don't!

Sorry, I didn't think it mattered as I was outside of the drifting zone I would have cleaned it up if I knew otherwise, but at least I know for next time 👍

Since it was outside the drifting zone, I will clear your DNF. I will add this to the rules for Season Two, making sure to keep a clean lap for both challenges and sub events.

one last thing, Season Two is still in the process of being worked out as you guys can tell from me asking for suggestions to keep it fresh. I will try to have the car lists done by the Jan. 1st so you guys have will have 3 weeks to make enough cash to buy the cars that will be added. I want to make sure that Season Two has a great impact, due to mix and matching cars with tracks with history. For Example, the Nissan Skyline 2000GTR was made famous on the Fuji Speedway dominating the touring car champions in the 70s. I would like to have the track layouts for each challenge with a little history of each car. Kinda to give you guys the full effect. I know its a lot of work, but Season Two will blow both One and this current season out of the water.

Also just some small feedback, but I like the idea of matching the challenge cars up with tracks they historically go with 👍

So how's everyone doing with this challenge so far? I've got a high 1:44 so far. Quite a lot of understeer from the car, but with some tuning it can be handled.

Hey Glubags, what's your GT Academy laptimes now?

1'49.109 with the normal car... just put down my first 3 laps with the tuned version and ran a 1'38, very sloppy, for 33rd overall in the US. I know I can break into the mid 1'48s with the normal car... when I get that done, I'll put a lot more laps on the tuned version and shoot for top 10 overall.

Love the idea, niigaki! I guess the limiting factor is that there are only eight or nine real tracks in this game and we've already done them all except for La Sarthe (unless you guys did that in season one before I joined).

Going back to GT Academy, Glubags have you ran against GTP_Timeattack? I was trying to catch his ghost which is currently at 1'36.1xx. He is fricken so fast hahaha, its like you, Slatz and Urata merged into one body. I am currently at 1'38 as well, I can't figure out how he gets ahead of me during the last 4 turns

usa, I tried the wheel and I hit 1'39. then swapped to a controller, and got 1'38.
