I've decide to stop playing race sims on pc. i'm in the process of selling my computer, BRD speed7 pedals, GTR (German version) and GTL.

I always considered sim racing as a substitute for the real thing. I'm not really interested in racing on a computer.
3 weeks ago, I had to change to drive a Porsche Boxter (latest model) and a Porsche 997 S for an hour. I had to pay almost $200 to get private lessons (drifting, powerslide), offensive and defensive car control.
This is my hobby, my obsession. Almost every month I take private lessons (Opel Omega 3.2 V6 RWD and Opel Speedster).
Computer sim racing is not the real thing. These lessons are.
And I only live 2 - 3 hour drive from the Nürnburgring. I rather go driving on the ring in real live than race on a computer.
GTL is very good but it's only a game!!!! I miss the "feeling" of driving....

good for you yeah i'm planning on getting more serious about my racing pursuits later this year. gotta get some money together as well as other things.

Pretty much the only racing games on my pc are RBR and LFS. gt legends doesnt feel quite right to me. Your lucky to live so close to the nurburgring have fun

They only had ONE copy in stock at Best Buy, and I bought it. Full price was $19.99, it wasn't on sale or anything.

A shout out to Small_Fryz for helping me get my DFP configured. It's a bit confusing at first since the intruction manual is basically worthless.

I tried the demo earlier on and i must say it's the worst racing game I've played in a long time.

There's a big difference between GTR and GTL.
Don't compare the demo with the full game. I didn't like the demo as well.

I thought it kinda sucked until I got my DFP sorted. But from the small sampling I've had of GTL so far I am enjoying it much more than GT4. The AI sure is a lot tougher than GT4's when set at the higher levels for me anyway.

what are your specs? try installing latest drivers for your motherboard and latest drivers for your videocard, latest dx9, windows updates etc. have you done all that?

Anyone try to drift yet? I know this is not a drifting game, but sometimes i just take a mustang, and practice drifting. Its really hard, but sometimes it comes out just right.

Nicely done on that Bathurst downhill section. Feels very realistic when watching... and the sound ist just awesome.
Wish GT4 would sound like that... but I guess that's also a bit because of the featured cars in GT Legends...
these cars just sound better than nowadays cars. SIM and IRL.

Hilarous how the De Tomaso pops 10 meters into the air and gets away with only a smashed taillight

I can't play anymore. I sold my computer last month. The only thing I still have is GT4 and I'm going to sell this as well. I'm done with sim racing (8 years of sim race experience is enough).
GTL was fun!!!

Download some of the setups made by other "online" drivers. You will get better!!!
