I am having a little difficulty maintaining speed with this car. I can get up to 211 ish and then I will go back to 205mph. Does anyone know why this is happening? Also which is better the race car or the road car for the GT0one? Here is my changes I made that I got from another board, maybe this has something to do with my lose of speed. Thanks in advanced.

Spring rate F18.5, R17.5
Ride height F55, R55
Shock bound F8, R8
Shock rebound F10, R10
Toe angle R2.0
Stabllizers F5, R5
Brakes F11, R13
Tires: Superslicks

LSD-accel: 45
Gear auto-setting: 37
Downforce: F0.74, R1.00

ASM: 12
TCS: 7

I'm guessing your 6th gear is set for too much top speed. There for the engine doesn't have enough power to push it. Try putting 6th more for acceleration.

How do I do that? Like I said I just follow what I find on other websites, I do not know too much about adjusting the settings are gears. Thanks for the help.

When you're in the setup area, go to the transmission settings. Then you want to highlight 6th gear and move the little bar to the right. Sorry if I'm not making any sense. I'm not real good at explaining things.

Actually, no, that's backwards. The transmission is currently set up for too much acceleration, and it is bumping into the rev limiter before running out of power, causing a steady fluctuation in speed at sustained wide open throttle (WOT).

However, the fix you describe is correct, because what that does is move the spread of gear ratios wider, allowing the car a higher top speed for a given RPM. Try that for a while until you get the hang of adjusting the transmissions more precisely. Set the "Auto" slider until the car will maintain about 500 rpm over the redline, but before the rev limiter makes the car slow down. This will vary by track - you want to set the gearing as tight as possible so that you are just reaching the rev limiter at the end of the fastest straight.

I just moved the auto setting to around 37 and that seemed to work. I just needed this to use the car for the Japan races and I have been able to kill the other cars. It is me or is this one of the better cars out there? What are some compariable cars that people use?

It's one of the better non-F1 racecars. It certainly makes big power, anyway. I enjoy driving the 787B a little more, though.

In general, you want to use:
  • an F1 against the F1s
  • 787B, GT One (TS020) race, or R390 racecar against each other
  • LM cars against each other, including Oreca Viper
