then you wouldn't mind uploading the replay then right? this is mainly for both Yavy and Glubags because they have both asked me about it earlier on. there shouldn't be a problem and we can get over this useless drama.

Well trouble with that is I have about 50 replays from the couple of days during C5 so I would be confident in saying that getting this particular one would be impossible (Until I can record it with a video camera). Just take the 10 points and we'll all move on.

Right now I'm at '56.639! My splits are T1 15.419, and T2 37.571, This type of challange suits me pretty well as most of my 'real' driving comes from a autocross backgrownd.

@ Genesisfury. I think you should be mature about this and be glad that you can still compete. I'm only speaking for myself but the way your handling this only reaffirms for me that you did cheat. I would hope that you brush this off and countiue to legit fast times to redeem yourself

Go ahead and start attacking C6. It's rather boring, no offensive Glubags. I hit 58'3xx and I think I am done with it.

LOL, none taken. :D

I love it, because as I said, it boils everything down to driving line. If this many people continue competing, I expect to see the times get very very close on this one.

My split time was: 0'47.809
Damn, you were moving through that first section then... that means I made up 0.15 seconds on you in the last section... so if we could combine our sectors, your first half and my last half, we would indeed end up around 1'36.6 :odd:

I didn't say it was impossible, but it will be insanely hard to get that time lol.

For C6 I got: 0'56.636. I love the choice you made on the car glubags, never thought a slow car could be so fun and yet so challenging to get the lowest time possible on this track. 👍

Thanks. 👍 And yeah, a clean legit 1'36.6 would be testing the limits of human reflexes.

I'm gonna post my best lap (without using quicktune yet) when my phone's battery charges enough to turn the connections back on. I'll try some suspension changes later and see if they help at all.

That's what I wanted to see here. :D Differences in the hundredths or thousandths of a second range.

Ok, here we go:

My splits are T1 15.419, and T2 37.571
To compare, mine are T1 15.313, and T2 37.431... which means I was up by 0.140 at the beginning of the last sector, but that lead dropped to 0.128 at the finish... so I lost 12 thousandths to you through the last sector. 👍

^ Have you used quicktune yet? This car responds favorably to some strange settings.

After a few quicktuned laps:

T1 15.407
T2 37.473

As you can see by the splits, my 56.511 ghost was far ahead nearly the whole lap... but I was able to hold so much speed through the last two corners that I came out in front at the top of the hill and continued to stretch my lead toward the finish.

If I could do the first part as well as my 56.511 ghost and the last two corners as well as this one, a low 56.3 or high 56.2 should happen.

Update: I put it all together and did even better than a high 56.2:

T1 15.263
T2 37.337

This may end up being my fastest legit time for C6. I've tinkered a lot with quicktune and think these are the best settings, and this lap keeps tires on the tarmac at all times.

With standard physics comparable to those in GT4, I'm sure a 1'36.0XX is possible... but with Pro Physics? I think not. But hey, if you can put that together, I'm sure we'd love to see it. :D

I'm talking about Pro physics of course, why do you think you are so good?

If stock settings would be mandatory in this challenge maybe I wouldn't discuss your POV but since there are involved car settings those can make a good difference on achieved times.

a clean legit 1'36.6 would be testing the limits of human reflexes.
Always there is somebody faster than one, what you think is the limit for another can be the beginning of a good lap.
If I'm talking about 1'36.4 or even 1'36.3 somebody faster than me and with better car settings might do a 1'35.

BTW, tomorrow I'll post my replay. 👍

Always there is somebody faster
I agree completely, but there is a limit to what a specific car can do on any given track... there is one fastest line--one fastest entry and exit for each corner. I would be VERY surprised to see an '01 NSX Type S make it around Fuji '90s on Pro physics in 1'36.3 while keeping tires on the track at all times. Considering we're working with d-pads and analog nubs (and for some with the new PSP, a DS3) and no analog throttle/brake. But like I said, if you've got the replay, I'll be happy to see it. 👍

Also, it's not that I think I'm "so good," it's that I feel I have a very accute understanding of vehicle dynamics and how they apply in the context of this game. Yavy has consistently outpaced my fastest laps, and he too seems to be well aware of the limits of each challenge so far. He and I both have all golds, which if anything proves we have a firm grasp on handling various cars in the game, so I think I'm a fair judge of what's legitimately possible, whether my abilities can muster a time that reaches that limit or not.

Too many excuses to be honest. Your points from C5 have been subtracted, if something like this happens again. You will be removed from the season for 1 challenge. Times are updated.

Please note that a new rule has been added to the list on the first page of the thread. This does take into effect starting today.

Got in to the 0'56.4XX's. Im having fun doing these. Thanks for putting all this together niigaki cant wait for season 2.

FINALLY!!!!! i have the car i wanted. Took a long and hard time coming. Quickly got down to doing the ring mini and ive got a time of 57.332.

is it fair play for C6 to have two wheels on the dirt & the other two on the rumble strip?
is it possible to do a 56 without touching the rumble strips?

cant seem to get past 57:3xx yet.

I don't know how to answer that because I have yet to see how to surpass 58 secs even with tuning. I would wait for some of the top times for C6 to answer this since they have a better grasp of how to do C6 then I do. I'll post my time later tonight and call it quits for C6, I have some studying to attend to. Then ill start running courses with C7's car to find a good balance.

Hey guys!

I've been swamped with work, therefore have been unable to play GTPSP. I did the 4th challenge (The one with the Ford GT '05) I have the date on the replay (I think it records the date) and I believe I can get in on the 10th place (Hey at least I'll earn 1 point for my honor hehe).

I'm gonna try and post it tomorrow and if it's valid cool. I'll try to participate on other races but my time has been limited lately.

Later,
Felipe.

Sorry, C4 has been over for a while now. Just try to participate when you can.

I'm keeping off of the dirt/grass. It's all about holding your speed here. My 56.177 is done with tires on the tarmac and rumble strips--never touching the grass or dirt... so yes, it's perfectly possible.

funny you say that when people are competing, if you don't mind me asking. why do you always post random things and troll the thread? C7 doesn't even start for another couple of days.

That's fine but you miss some things like gearing usage, you will see what I mean if you see my replay.

Here's my time 1'36.468 and replay attached.

My best 1rst split was a clean 0'47.702 so getting my optimal splits I could be able to reach a 1'36.2

You think you are in possession of the truth, if I was you I would be humble and give some room in case I could miss some things, we aren't perfect.

Anyway all this thing wouldn't happened if the rules would have stated on a beginning that the first three must send their replay, as it's stated now in the rules.

Well there you go, thanks eclipsee.

Okay I understand that, but after so many days. Why hasn't he uploaded his replay to prove himself? Why are there so many excuses why he can't while everyone else can? Anyways C5 is over with, so please stop bringing old topics to hash out. Thanks.
