Grats to Genesisfury for placing first in C6 and attaching his ghost. Points will be out shortly.

C7 Course is El Capitan / Forward. Good Luck :)

I'll write up a quick little tutorial like niigaki suggested. Your replay.zip is incomplete--it needs to include the entire parent folder and all of its contents. I'll edit this post when I'm finished. You should go ahead and delete that zip file from your attachments and reupload it when I'm done.

Here we go:

First, attach your PSP to your PC/Mac and go to the PSP/SAVEDATA folder. It'll list your saved files. Mine looks like this:

pspscreen1.jpg

The folders with the "UC*S*****LCNS" prefix contain your saved Driving Challenge replays, if you saved any. These are the in-game driving challenges; the license tests. The folders with the "UC*S*****RPLY" prefix contain saved replays from single-player events. These are the ones you need to look for. The letters/numbers after the "RPLY-" in the folder are the same for each track, and the last two numbers are the number of replays you have saved for that specific track. For instance, I have 4 replays saved for the Citroen on Autumn Ring Mini Reverse, and those 4 replays are the "B963F590D" folders, incremented 00 to 03. The 03 folder is the last replay I saved for this challenge, which is my 56.1 lap. If you aren't sure which of yours is which, open one of your folders and find the PARAM.SFO file:

pspscreen2.jpg

Open the PARAM.SFO file with a text editor like Notepad. You may have to hit Format -> Wordwrap to read it a little easier:

pspscreen3.jpg

As you can see, it lists the course, vehicle, physics, and tires used. Do NOT make any changes or re-save the file from your text editor--simply close it. Any changes or re-saving from the text editor will result in corrupt data.

When you've found your replay by viewing the PARAM.SFO file, go back to the SAVEDATA directory and, on a Windows machine, right-click the folder containing your replay data and choose Send to -> Compressed file. This will create the ZIP file you need. Cut and paste that zip file from your PSP to your computer. Leaving the ZIP file on your PSP won't harm it, but it will show up as corrupt data in your Saved Data Utility on the PSP's screen.

When you've placed that ZIP file on your PC, upload it to the forum using the file attachment utility, or just host it online if you have a preferred hosting solution and provide the link in your post. Other users can then open your ZIP and extract the entire folder to their PSP/SAVEDATA directory to view the replay in-game.

I mentioned the last two numbers in the folder name because there's a chance you may already have saved a replay with this folder name. If that's the case, make a backup copy of your replay folder somewhere on your PC/Mac before you unzip another user's replay to your PSP, as it will overwrite yours, and I'm pretty sure incrementing the folder name yourself by renaming it (to prevent yours from being overwritten) will again result in corrupt data.

This probably all sounds complicated, but it's super simple... takes 5 minutes at the most.

hey thanks! like this?

just keep spamming the days & you'll get the car.

I think I got a 1:49 for C7.
Still learning the track.

Oct 26th - 28th Challenge 7
El Capitan / Forward
Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R '00

finally got the car...sliding around a LOT even with the r3s lol

oops your right its possible to hit 1'42, currently at 1'42.786. I think its possible to even push down to 1'41

Since were halfway through Season 1 and someone is looking to start a GTPSP Racing League, this might be a chance to show what changes and additions Season 2 has to offer. The first change for Season 2 will be the points system, I will be adapting the point system from the Super GT Series in Japan.

1st - 10th points will go like this. 20, 15, 12, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

The second change for Season 2 will be there will be 2 leagues which members can compete in. First league will be the Sport Car Challenge. Only sport cars will be issued in this challenge from the Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR. The second league will be the Race Car Challenge. Only JGTC, Group C / IMSA Race Cars and the DTM Touring Cars will be allowed in this challenge. From the Honda NSX Arta JGTC race car to the infamous Mazda 787B Group C race car. Even though their will be two leagues to race in next season, the tracks will be the same for both.

Another addition to Season 2 will be the use of different sets of tires. Sport Car Challenge will only use S1 Tires as the Race Car Challenge will only use R1 tires. No exceptions.

I will searching for 2 staff members to help me go through the ghosts of the top drivers for each challenge to make sure no shortcuts or wall tapping has occur in any of the ghosts. If you submit a ghost that shows you taking a shortcut or wall tapping to score a quicker time, will result in a DNF and will score no points for that challenge.

I am hoping these changes will draw more people to compete considering that we are well over 10,000 views on this thread alone. I will have the car lists for both leagues by next Monday, November 1st. There will be most likely some more additions added, I am hoping to have to completely done before C12 begins.

Season 2 sounds excellent. 👍

As for C7... I was gonna play Borderlands, but my fiancée wanted to watch TV, so I went back to C7.

1'40.912 so far with about 5 minor mistakes, mostly in braking... This track is SO demanding... I doubt I'll have time to try to beat this one tomorrow, so I'll post the pic/ghost soon. My hands are so cramped. :D

HAHA. sounds good

Why not use the more recognised system from Forumla 1? 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1
Anyway, I hope I will be able to take part in season 2, I just need some more cars first!

Haha you're right Cottees, for us, it doesn't make much difference.
Only the 4 first pilots will win more points.

Wow cottees so negative, try asking questions if your having problems. I am pretty sure anyone of us will help out.

Kaori, did they change the points system in 2009? I haven't kept up since Super GT since last season.

1'43.003 on a pretty rough lap... Hoping for a very very low 1'42 tomorrow.

its definitely possible to have a low 40's time...I had a 2 second lead from my top time so far (1'44.822 or something like that) but a skid into the sand made me lose it. ARRRRGH

lol, I just need more practice. I'd probably do better in GT5 with a steering wheel though.

Official site of Super GT series, with 2008 ranking ;)
I looked archives, the points systems hasn't seem to change, same in 2009.

Sorry about that then. I will readjust it when it comes closer. Thanks Kaori.

If you read the first page of the thread, your questions will be answered. We are currently on Challenge 7.

Holy crap... I really suck!

I obvious have it set to 'professional' with R3's front and back - but what other settings do you guys suggest? I can't seem to improve on my 1:48.750 best time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
