trust me don't get frustrated, just learn the line and what gear you should be in to corner quicker. I caught on how Glubags was doing better then me, and just need to adapt is all.

hmm 1.24.8 is pretty much my best time after a couple of tries.
Could only control the car after doing a -50/+50 toe setting hah

^ Yikes! lol. The sweet spot for me has been +15/+10... very crisp turn-in, very controllable oversteer.

please note that today is the final day for C9 and C10 will be starting at 11pm PST tonight. Please have your ghosts ready for upload if you have qualified for top 3. Thanks!

1'24.700

I'll attach my ghost later tonight if I am still in the top 3.

Edit.

Please send me a PM if you are running in Justin's JGTC League. I am currently looking for a fast teammate to run the GT500 League with :). Thanks!

Nice... I wish I could break into the 1:24s! Hell, I'd be happy to nudge into the 1:25! I'm still trying to find the right tuning setup for me - let alone actually getting down to whittling away at my current best time.

You guys are fast. Now I know what my son feels like when I race him.

I wish I could shave more time off but I am currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare over again on Veteran since MW2 is coming out next Tuesday. Try using Glubags suggestion for his toe in and out first. Then try to build your settings around that, it really helps since this car isn't very forgiving when you mash the accel coming out of corners.

You can say that again!

:scared:

^^^
That's the look I get when slide off into the grass on the last turn while leading my ghost by multiple car lengths.

Hi, I'm new to this, but I want to join in if you all don't mind :D. I tried Tskuba in the GT-R to start with, got to 8th place on the leaderboard, thought I would give this one a go. It was tough, but practice really does make perfect and I'm sure I could have posted a better lap if I had more time. Anyway it's 1:24.660, which I think is pretty decent. The car is terrible before you tune it, and even then it could be better. Nevertheless looking forward to the next challenge :D

@niigaki,
Thanks for the tip 👍. Once I got the proper gear for certain corners I was able to nail a fast lap. I'll join Justin's JGTC League. But I'd rather race alone as I don't want to disappoint my team mate if I miss a few races. So guess this means S2 is on hold?

@urataman & Emu76,
Welcome to the TA Callenge.

btw, here are my tuning settings. I don't know much about tuning so I just add or subtract values until the car feels better for me.

Ride Height: -8/-5
Spring: 1/10
Damper: 10/1
Toe: -0.20/+0.00
Camber: 8.0/0.0

I am glad you brought this up because Season 2 won't start till November 23rd. Season 1 ends I believe on the 15th, will double the first page thread. And I will be going to Vegas with my friends on the 20th and will be back on the 22nd. This will give you guys an extra week to collect the cars for Season 2. Please note that the official car lists for both Sports and Race cars will be complete by the time C12 has begun. Also I will be locking the thread once Season 1 is over will and creating a new one with some of the new rules we will be trying out for Season 2. I will try to have everything written up and secured by C12 as well so there will be no rule changing in the middle of the season like S1. If anyone has any questions, concerns, suggestions, please feel free to send me a pm. I am looking forward to the end of Season 1 and the start of Season 2 with also Justin's JGTC League that he is starting I believe by the end of this week.

Wow that was long, this will be short. All times have be updated as of 5:30pm PST.

Sorry I missed you Urataman. Welcome! Please note in order to receive credit for your time, you post a screenshot of your saved ghost with a name card. An example has been provided on the first page of the thread. Thanks!

I am concerned about C-9. Since the current top 3 drivers haven't attached their ghosts, you guys will have until tomorrow @ 11pm PST to submit your ghosts, or your times will be considered a DNF. I believe that is a decent amount of time do so even though everyone has 2 days to do so to begin with. Please don't make this a habit :) Thanks

I already added my ghost replay just in case I get top three.
But I'm pretty sure that yavy & genesis will bump me off in a few hours. :)

thank you for adding your ghost psp88. Yavy92 didn't compete in C8 so I don't know he or she is going to compete in C9. I saw Genesisfury on last night just viewing the thread but he didn't post a time. Usually I will get a PM from Cottees around this time telling me about his ghost since I can't review non US members ghost.

ill add up the points for C9 and the track will be chosen in the morning. heading to bed.

I was on track to beat my 1'23.3 by a tenth or two and lost traction through the hairpin. Doh.

I don't have time to keep trying so I'm gonna go ahead and submit my 1'23.313 as my final time. Picture posted earlier. Here's the ghost:

you still have time.
i suggest you upload the replay immediately so niigaki can check it when he wakes up.

I am waiting for Cottees to review your ghost Genesis since I can not.

Congrats to Glubags for winning C9, C10 course will be Laguna Seca Raceway / Forward. Good Luck!

Sadly since I only noticed this a few days ago I don't have any RX-7s, so I'll probably have to sit this one out. Will be back for C-11 though.

The car doesn't even cost that much. I think it was 30,000 CR. Currently at 1'39.4xx, but I think I can break at least low 38's before this one is over :) Oh done with stock settings as well, throttle control is a must with this car.

Edit.

With a little tuning, I am at 1'38.5xx :) 37's here I come
