GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

Will the thread title change to include GT4 or does GT4 belong in the Production car thread?
It's kind of in the middle, but since this thread is mainly used for GT3 and GT4 cars are much closer to production spec (save for a few "kit" cars racing in the series...) I thought the Production car thread was a better place.

58 cars on the grid for the B12H, just add 2 jags in class A and all is sweet,
Jags? No way, for the last couple of days I've been thinking about how much I miss those Moslers. I might be in the minority, but I miss seeing those cars cutting laps amongst the more "to the spirit of the rules" cars.

The Moslers were great! Still cool to occasionally see one at a state round or in the Trophy Series. Although they seem to break down a lot...

So Renault is dropping the RS-01 series after two seasons. The cars will continue to run in other championships, however this has put the final nail in the coffin for Marc VDS.

Yeah I love the Moslers, I actually like a lot of the eccentric cars GT3 used to attract,

Old news, no? Think I posted about that a while ago.
I cannot and will not be present for every post on this forum.

As this hasnt been recently nor is currently discussed, especially with the rather fresh news that Marc VDS is finally ending auto racing operations due to the series' demise, I feel it is relevant to discuss again.

You dont earn merits for posting a topic first, nor is it against the rules to bring up a topic again, at least as long as it's in an appropriate existing thread.

And while its not bad to say "hey we already discussed this", at least try to include the highlights of that discussion so you dont come off in a "shove off, slow poke" manner. Because text is horrendously fickle at expressing tone.

Whoah, calm down there buddy. I was seriously asking because I couldn't completely remember.

Chill.

If only apr brought their #31 car and weren't mega BoP'd by the SRO, it would be a sight to see a 911, R8, a 650S, and a plucky Prius

Just found out there's a live broadcast on Fox Sports Plus here in Australia. I was wondering why the YouTube broadcast was blocked.

I've only seen about 2.5 of the 7 hours run so far, but it looks like this has been a pretty good race. (Sepang 12hr).

Last I saw the 911s were looking very strong over the field, but after coming home ~2 hours later, now the track is very damp, darkness is coming fast and Audi leads by virtue of being able to run on slicks.

It looks like a highly intriguing race at the moment and I'm seriously considering watching til the end.....which is a real worry because that's 2am here!

Either the Yokohama wet tires are not working on the Porsche or the 911 GT3 really is a bad car in anything other than perfect conditions with a pro driver.

Hey guys,

figured I'd share my lap around Valencia from the lambo world final 2 weeks ago :)

Very nice! I've always thought of Valencia as more of a bike circuit, what are your thoughts on it as far as racing cars? Is it mostly single file, or could you get 2 wide through some corners?

Love it. It's so much better than the Laser livery Richard's had on his Carrera Cup ride this year.

For sure. More to watch with some proper cars in the other classes.

Yeah, large grid, variety of cars, different classes. I feel like the 12 hour shares a lot more in common with Bathurst's of old compared to the modern Supercars race.
