GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

Yeah, large grid, variety of cars, different classes. I feel like the 12 hour shares a lot more in common with Bathurst's of old compared to the modern Supercars race.
Yessss. Feels exciting. Internationals in awe of the circuit, the vibe. Racers that never had the chance in the past, can now pur their hands up and possibly win.

Tony Quinn is a brilliant man for sticking with GTs.

It's a long race, and there's a lot of traffic. Anything can happen. ;)
Look at you. :sly:

4 GT-Rs is nothing to sneeze at. Those Audis are trying to make a mess of things. The Bentleys will try to make themselves as wide as possible. I'd like to see the M6s get some speed on these shores. I'm still iffy on the 911. McLaren will show Ferrari how it's done. The surprise might be Canto in the Huracan...which leads me to this...

Insane lineup. It's almost unfair.
Schneider & Engel blitzed the field. Things may have changed with grid size and more GT3s with Pro drivers, but holy smokes! STM can start & finish with any driver on the team.

I would've expected them to pull the DPi program before thinking of pulling support for the GT3 cars in PWC. :odd:

The DPi program is every manufacturer's wet dream though if what we've heard is true. They will be fighting for overall victories as a "factory" team even though they are doing little more than providing engines.

And bodywork but true. It's just I can't imagine how little the PWC program costs, then again its not really a customer effort, more pseudo factory.

I only work on behalf of an employment agency for a supply company to Nissan located next door to it's UK factory so I cannot speak for the company, but I am a big fan of it's motor-sport involvement's (although owning a Mazda I actually follow SpeedSource) and I just think a factory will take any opportunity to get major success. I think being credited with being the engine supplier to the champions is every bit as valued as being the team to win the title. Why else would they supply to so many LMP2 teams in the WEC?

It is sad that the EGT will be in effect only a one make series. Any chance the BMW i8 could be used? Or the 918 Spyder?

Man, these should be in the B12H.

I love the look of the new NSX GT3, but I'm not sure about any of these liveries so far....

I think both Shank and Realtime missed a trick by not using Dayglow Red on their liveries, even just as accents. To me, nothing says Honda Racing more than Dayglow Red. I mean, Realtime's Acura TSX cars the last several years have been beautiful (to me at least)....hopefully that shot is just a test livery or something.

Hope so as well. The RTR NSX livery may look primitive now, but with that dayglow red, you knew what team it was. This plain white, makes it blend it with the other cars.

Maybe, a 2019 Bathurst effort or privateer in the GT series but I wouldn't expect an NSX on our shores for a while. I think it'll take as long as it took for the GTR to race here and it's only next year that'll it will be doing its first full season...

I was also wondering, is anyone planning on running an NSX in BlancPain? How about at Bathurst?
In short, no. The car is built by Honda Peformance Development in the USA, for the exclusive purpose of racing in North America. While it's possible we may see customer entries later down the line in Blancpain and Super GT, don't be surprised if they go the Cadillac route and keep the car all to themselves.

The whole NSX GT3 is built by HPD? If that's true i didn't know that. Is HPD building the ones being used in SuperGT as well?
