BUG: Time Driven Achievement -- Does not increment when Race is paused.

In the past few days I have done 3 long races: 10 laps around Nürburgring 24h, 20 laps around Nordschleife, and the 60-minute Endurance race on the Nürburgring GP. Each at least 1 hour of driving. None of them have been accounted for in the Time Driven Achievement, as far as I can tell. They do appear in the Distance Driven chart on the profile. So the races were accounted for, but the Time Driven Achievement did not register them.

I suspect that the bug lies somewhere around Pausing the race. In all 3 races, I paused the race. When I resumed the races, the dashboard counter continued to count the elapsed time, but at the end of the race, the Time Driven Achievement counter did not reflect the race time. (It did not reflect race time even after restarting the PS4.)

I also have a problem where my "time played" is much greater than "time driven", even though I spend almost no time in the menus. I will usually just jump straight on and drive for a couple/few hours and get off. I think it's a bug... (it's possible that they are being calculated for the wrong one) struggling to get my head around it, because many other people have more time driven than time played.

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, GET RID OF THE YELLOW FLAG PENALTY ALTOGETHER!!!!!!! Stop respawning cars on track, first off, and stop penalizing players for passing cars that have caused a yellow flag.

I got a 5 second penalty for passing a BACKMARKER that was the source of the yellow flag FFS! The video doesn't show the +5.000 penalty, but I assure you, I did get it.

I'm not sure if this is a Bug or not?
Mission Challenge Stage 6 - 2
Interlagos Sprint Race: 6 Laps
Seems to me it's only 5 laps, maybe 5 and a bit.......?

i am using PS4 PRO
i have serious bug and i wonder if i can get any solution
when first time loading my data, it seems taken longer time as usual
and then when i have a data change even a bit (take photos, sport mode or even time trial), i cant get my daily workout
and even worse.... after every single changes, i cant load my profile, saving manual is always failed, and every get in to lobby or sport mode, it doesnt load at all.
the only thing i got is gold in career and the bonus car, but my achievement log is even disappear as if not exist at all

i tried my different account in same PS it is going well
and tried my main account to different console, it is going well as well

so i got no choice but reinstall a whole PS4 and it worked

one week later it suddenly happened again recently.

this is so frustrating.....
i don't even know how is this happened

do anyone have similar problem?
or do anyone has any solution?
it would be really helpful

thank you~

Logged on today and all cars are gone apart from the DLC ones. Was working fine last night and saved before closing the game.
Tried deleting data and re-downloading it didn't solve the problem. Also still says that I have purchased 40 cars in my profile yet when I go into brand central it says I haven't bought any cars at all. Anyone any ideas on how to fix this?

The exact same thing has happened to me, happened last weekend and they haven't come back. I've let PlayStation know, they're working on it for me. I'll update you when I get a response

Thanks GTFayMcAdemy, I've tried everything I can think of to remedy it at my end but nothing worked. Totalled it all up and I'd say between the Daily cars/mileage point cars and cars purchased ive lost close to100 cars, sucks considering i had the exact same problem with gt5 and that was a complete restart, so im hoping that isnt the case this time

They broke driving school in New update. You have to beat your previous record to gain gold even if it's several seconds beyond what is needed. If your previous record holds eg silver but time faster then needed now for gold, you are out of luck, it will stay silver.

This exact thing was like that in their very first Gran Turismo, but if they patched times needed to get gold, which was of course impossible to do on PS1, it means it is a very bad thing from them.

Everyone left the party!!

Here's another video of what I call the lonely race bug. The video starts just as the bug hits while people are still driving, then all the cars are left without pilots. The race is still happening on the server and I am still connected to some extent. At the end, I am given my finishing position.

Hi all,

Please see response copied from the thread GTSport Lost All Cars, regarding the wiping of all my cars from the game without explanation:

If anyone experiences this problem, I'm afraid you're in for a long battle.

What I've been told by PlayStation Support via three emails is that my data file appears to be "corrupted" (hearing the C word is always a bad sign), and that as far as they're concerned there's nothing they can do, either to get my cars back or give me any form of compensation because they're just technical support.

I replied on the second email when no remorse or any form of apology was offered after they confirmed the issue, which enraged me. Basically I was screwed the moment I logged in and it automatically saved it. It's already been escalated up from PlayStation Support to the game publishers, and I've spoken to three separate people on phone calls, and three separate people via email. By Monday this will have dragged on for 2 weeks.

However, given the fact that it's a problem their end and there's nothing wrong with my PlayStation, plus there appears to be zero effort to put me in touch with someone who is prepared to offer me a compromise and is capable of doing so, there's no way they're getting away with this. I've already told them their response is unacceptable, and the person I've just spoken to has passed it back up the chain again, being well aware I won't go away until it's resolved. If they know my game is corrupted, they will know I earned my cars fair and square and I won't accept grinding it out to get them back. Whether they're being all apologetic about it now (where they weren't before) is a good omen, remains to be seen.

In addition to that, when I told Ask Playstation UK on twitter that their suggestion of restoring licences didn't work and asked for advice, I haven't had anything since then.

Bug been happening last few weeks I can race some days fine then others lag is outrageous unplayable. In sport and lobby my ping is not high I have 100mb internet it's a joke

Hi,

I've noticed a issue with the La Ferrari losing power/speed particularly on the Tokyo Expressway East Inner Loop during the single player campaign modes Premium race. Setting the car up in the N600 group, the car has 586hp and has no issue with reaching 190mph+ during the first lap, however laps 2 and 3 the car experiences a severe drop in speed; it can barely get to 170mph.

I tried the same settings during a time trial, the same issue occurs. Previously I completed this race with a Enzo, again in the N600 group and didn't have any issues whatsoever throughout the entire race.

Anybody else experienced anything similar?

Raced at Mount Panorama in the Sport mode Daily.

After the stops the guy behind me was showing in game as being in 15th place and a lap down;

DULK4ouWAAsjubk

I (thinking he was a back marker) let him go without fighting it in order to follow his toe.
I then get another back marker coming up behind me on the last lap, behind him is the guy I think I'm fighting for 4th. So I block this guy who I think is trying to unlap himself in order to keep a car between me and the guy I'm fighting.
Contact is made, guy slips through anyway. On the back straight I totally block and cut off the guy behind who's still showing as a back marker. Race finishes, turns out he wasn't a back marker at all and I'd ruined his race as he should have finished ahead of me. Screens below showing the state of the race on the last lap, and then after crossing the line;

DULLDkFX4AAwb08
DULLlErWAAA7lu3

I'm pretty pissed off at this, there is no excuse for GT for not knowing who is in what position, especially in a one spec series over the course of 10 laps.

Considering it’s a hybrid, maybe it can’t recuperate enough energy to consistently give you full boost for several laps. On circuits where you don’t brake a lot it has to charge somewhere, which will be at high speeds or at high engine load. You will therefore lose some top speed, so that it will still be able to boost out of corners, where the boost is most effective.

Thanks for your suggestion, it makes sense. Lap times do pick up during the middle of the race, especially throughout sector two which requires less throttle, I forgot about it being a the La Ferrari being a hybrid. If your suggestion is correct, I would have thought the HUD would have included a display indicating the level of remaining boost; GT6 had it with the Toyota VGT.

Ok, so I just started the game today, after having saved manually before the maintenance, and basically all my cars are gone from my garage, except the ones granted by the collector edition. Just the cars. Money, miles, stats, achievemnts, liveries, replays... everything is still there, except the cars. I'm left with 21, when I had about 150 cars. I'm currently in the process of testing all cars from the game so I just bought all road cars I missed so this is particularly annoying. Anyone knows if there's something I can do or if there's any support you can contact ?

I'm sure there is a fix... I've seen it mentioned on other threads. Maybe have scroll through the past couple of pages of threads? I recall something about saving to external then reloading your save data?

Can't find how to get my saves on an external USB device, tried uploading them from PS+ again but didn't change anything. Of course, first thing the game did was an automatic save when I launched it...

It's happened to my sport on Monday that he's at ranking 'A/S', and dropped on the evening race into a lobby with much lower, C/S D/S ranked guys. He won by 10 miles, the best was 6+ sec/ lap from him, even lapped 2 cars and got 450 points for the win. He also mentioned a day before they got 1 D/S person in their full S/S-A/S lobby, which made no sense either. Anyway, he lost a lots of points while he's fighting for podium in he's rankings. Have you expoerienced anything similar?

Can't believe this has happened to someone else again. Just out of curiosity, when you booted up the game and it came to the loading screen, did the screen stay black and have the spinning dots just over arcade mode?

As for transferrng your data to an external usb device, on the main xmb go to settings, application save data management, then into saved data in system storage, it will give you the option in there to transfer to a usb device. Hope that helps

Yeah I had something like that, black screen instead of the background images on main menu and "infinite loading". Was doing something else, wame back probably like 20 - 30 minutes after, still in the same state so I had to reboot the game.

Yeah this seems to be whats causing everyones cars to disappear, exactly the same happened to me, and your save data is useless if you reboot the game as it saves when it loads up, which saves your garage when the cars have disappeared, I've started to do manual saves everytime I close the game now, shouldnt have to do this, but seems to be the only way until the bug is addressed and fixed

Thing is I do manual saves often, which I did before powering off the PS4 last time. Well, I don't have time to wait for PoDi to do something, so I'm farming the money glitch. Already 20 millions spent, not enough to buy all road cars.
