I just went from B to A at what I reckon is 65 old SR units. Had one bump against a wall in the second race - I don't recall it showing me a red "down SR" marker, but I didn't get a green "up SR" marker at the end of the sector (would've been shown at about the same time).

Confirmed - orange SR down indicator wasn't shown when I foraged in the gravel at BH. Just didn't get a green SR up at the end of the sector.

Later somone hit me hard enough to trigger an orange SR down indicator, so it's still there for that case.

- Lighting has improved. Brighter cockpits on most cars for starters.
- Sound has improved. Crackles and pops and gear shifts sound much better
- Track details have improved, even though there seems to be more pop in textures on Nurb and it's distracting
- The driving physics are so good right now. But it's a matter of preference as all cars seem to be more stable and have more grip now
- Particle effects seem to be improved, including tufts of dust after accelerating out of a corner. However the dust from cars seems less on Sardegna, perhaps to improve visibility
- Looking around in cockpit view is now buttery smooth
- The brake indicator is distracting, especially on Nurb where it flashes for every single minor corner.
- The onscreen indicators in the HUD are well placed and nicely done.

Overall it's a very nice update. Full game can't come soon enough.

Fired it up, & didn't notice any difference at all. Drove the same car & track combo as last night Audi TT on The Nord. Physics & FFB feel the same, & if there are any changes they are extemely subtle. The only thing that maybe felt different is that the car slid a bit more, & I was 2 seconds off my previous best, which is slightly unusual for me as I'm very consistent at the ring. Cockpits still look dark on my TV, demo screen as well as the Audi on track.

The addition of the red flasing word "BRAKE" on screen is an absolute stupid & hideous edition. And no option to turn it off as well.

They aren't

Feels like there is a tire physics change, it seems a bit more robust. Previously tires all felt hard, now they feel pliable when you turn and lose grip it's not so digital. Also driving with the DS4 is much better feeling than it was before, seems like input lag has been reduced or something don't care it feels much better with the physics. Can't say that brake thing didn't bother me at first but after two races I don't see it anymore, whatever I chose to ignore it as it is for beginner drivers as it was telling me to brake in all sorts of places where I was going flat out. They might want to set that thing to drive aid pronto I think I ran into the rear of someone follow it on the Nurb through a fast section, middle of the road braking out of nowhere and he was in a GT-R and in control so very weird. Cockpit camera is much smoother now, thank goodness that snap visual was unbearable, also seems like they are brighter overall too. They need to return the 360 around the exterior(who the hell complained about that?).

Nürb also got an overhaul, there are alot more side track details aswell as more trees added.

The trees on the right for example are new !

There is less pop-up of trees as well. At the Flugplatz's horizon they are now fixed.

I've been away from my PS4 for quite a while, but can anyone tell me if the TH8A Shifter and clutch work now in the beta? Or if is there any information if it'll even work in the full game?

Guys I think you can turn off the brake indicator if you pause game and go into options you can dumb down what's displayed on screen and it gets rid of the brake indicator.

You can remove it but it removes the vast majority of the HUD elements as well.

Personally I'm glad I can dumb it down far to much on screen as is although I hope I can customize the HUD like in PC.
Yes, this is what I want. The ability to have only the things I want and to position them where I want.

This difference is only on a certain number of cars (probably they are fixing the cars one by one)
The difference shown there is not a matter of fixing cars (one by one); it's just a general raise of lighting (Exposure Value).

Worth nothing that the penalty system now seems much harsher on contact with other cars. I made a number of contact mistakes and got properly penalized and went down to B rating. You really have to be careful now especially with drivers who brake early on you. If you make too much contact especially in the rear (don't think it), you're getting heavily penalized.

no, that difference is only on a certain number of cars and the difference is not only in lighting but in shaders and some poligonal details too
