Sony Confirms Second GT Sport Beta Phase (UPDATE: All Second Beta Mentions Removed From PS Blog)

I somewhat agree about games in general but thing is it's the most popular games that are online focused. Seems GT Sport is aimed at joining that group of hugely popular games that actually have growing user bases.

Not only most popular but most popular over a long period of time.

I agree with that. When I first got on the forums I was wondering if I was in the right place because it was so quiet
It wouldn't be so quiet if it allowed more people to actually log in. I tried to log in several times, from several different devices, unsuccessfully. I even wrote an e-mail to PS support but they had no idea what to do. Heck, they even told me that no such forum exists and hence couldn't help me.

Yeah, I tried as well, only via in-game though. They didn't make it work, so I said screw it "you will have tu survive without my fantastic advices and ideas!"... Looks like they easily will :D , so i didn' really bother.

I've not got my hopes up about GT Sport releasing this year. This 2nd beta which is really close to release date could mean it may not be ready just yet and Kaz is having last minute doubts as to wether it is ready to be released this year, so they've put out another beta just to get a feel and decided they should push the release date back until after Xmas. Hopefully I'm so wrong

Same happened to me, it actually became the reason I stopped playing the Beta. I could log into the bug tracker but the same info was denied access to the forums.

They deleted that entry and I think some posted that they got confirmation that it wasn't happening. I might be wrong though, I was getting really tired last evening.

Then again Forza Motorsports released their demo on 19th of september while the game releases 2 weeks later.
Who knows but I have got no hope for a second beta anyways.

A beta would imply they need to test something. The game is days from going gold.

Demo =/= Beta
Yes I know that but its almost the same thing, while the demo is the demonstration of the final product it still shows sometimes not representative of final product.
But yeah beta is mostly for testing.

19 days left is still 2 weeks and 5 days (almost 3 weeks). But yeah perhaps a demo is more or likely to say hey this is what the game looks and plays like! (They could still find bugs, and quickly fix them before it goes gold).

While the article was updated to reflect the changes, the thread wasn't.

This has now been remedied!

Leaked information? Also, as I know Tesco is one of the well known retailer in UK, so probably this might be true. Still, we have to wait if there is any official confirmation yet.

I guess thats ,,old“ information when the open beta was still planned. I dont think we will get any beta/demo.

Probably right.

Can anyone confirm if this is new narrative on the Tesco website, or it's just been sat there for weeks?

It's new - the page originally only had the bottom text, as recently as yesterday:

tescofail.jpg

But I've no idea whether it's right or not.

Difficult to tell, but a 'Javescript:alert(document.lastModified)' interogation gives a date of today, however that could be anything on the page.

Edit: which would tie in with Famine's comment above
