Thanks John for your help in the lobby

GR1 car change is the Porsche 962c 88. Tyre wear will be so that hards will not make the full race. All three tyre choices still available. Race laps will now be 10.

Next week I will post by Tuesday/Wednesday so that we all have practise time to decide on tyres we each will use.

Sorry guys (I suppose only guys?),
I was called away just when the room was open.
I did the skelter thing, but that is not my cup of tea.
I practised with an Atenza at Interlagos all morning. Maybe another time.
These F1 cars are far too fast for me.

Well, maybe next time.

Hang in there buddy, we seldom drive the F1's and today was the very first time since GTSport came out that we used the shifter kart. Most of us were skeptical since we had never driven it and YES it does require a firm grip, very little input to the steering wheel/controller or it is virtualy unmanagable :banghead: but with a few adjusts to the steering sensitivity found in the "Advnced" part of the "Driving Options" ( the little symbol that looks like a gear at the bottom of the screen is the driving options) we found the little kart a lot of fun :). Most of us had to turn the sensitivity down by moving the cursor from default (which may be around the #5) to #2 or less. Anyway, keep an eye on this Geezer message board and join us again when you're ready. We very much remember what it is like to be a beginner and we're here to assist, just join in and have fun. Geezers Rule! 👍👍

Racing tomorrow morning. Join us

Sunday Geezers and Friends.

Room opens 08.00 US ET, 13.00 UK. Racing starting an hour later. Early bird races for those who want to before then.

We are going to try something different this week. If successful we can do again.

To start we will race some 3/4 lap races. Open choice of car with 3rd place choosing next car and track combo. To start us off we will go to Maggiore East in the GR4 Lambo. Minimal time between races.

Around .45 min we move on to the main events.

1st Event.
Two races at St Croix B in the GR1 Porsche 962c 88. Races will be for 10 laps each with reverse grid on second race. Tyre wear will be set at 20. We each have choice of tyres of soft, medium or hard. No boost and no fuel usage. 5 minutes between races.

2nd Event
The same format but in the GR4 Ferrari 458 at Barcelona. If you guys want to use a tune on the Ferrari it is here

To finish the day we can run Blue moon or have some more quick fire races, up to you guys later.

What are: “Early bird” races?

I own neither of these cars:
GR4 Lambo
Porsche 962c
Ferrari 458
Far too fast for me.
Well, we’ll see....

What are: “Early bird” races?

Racing has always started at 09.00 US ET and 14.00 UK. Since hosting I have opened the room earlier than it used to be and if enough guys join lobby early we have a few quick races. I think it was Luiz or Scott who first used the term 'Early bird' (must be a bingo player :)) for these races.

And just for a bit of fun, we will have points for the main event races. I have a spreadsheet for doing this and will post results asap after racing.
I have thought that, if it goes ok today, we could have 16 races spread out over 4 weeks.

Position, Points
1... 50
2... 42
3... 35
4... 30
5... 26
6... 23
7... 20
8... 17
9... 14
10... 12
11... 10
12... 8
13... 6
14... 5
15... 4
16... 3

Maybe one of you guys can help me here.
I looked in the online manual, I went to Youtube and I even Googled it but I cant find the meaning of the red square next to the gear indicator. In the enclosed picture it reads ‘1’. I am driving at 159 kmh; I cant imagine it wants be to shift to the first gear. So, what is it?
And what does “MT” stand for

Thanks. Could have figured that MT out myself:boggled:.
But the gear needed for the next corner, that might be a logical explanation. I mean it sounds logically to me 👍
Hey man. PS4 comes with a smal headphone that you can connect to the controler DS4. Use that to join the party durring the race. I garantee you that the learning curve will be amazing.

For those still inside the learning curve, some advice from the past.
If the video is too long, hop over to 43:05. There is the ball in the disk.
Enjoy:

Helpfull even for the non-Ford owners....
