Gary, @GaryCorvette
Your Geezer Racing Buddies were thinking of you this Saturday morning. I hope you can find some comfort in the thoughts of those that support you in these trying times. God be with you.

All the Geezers and Geezlings

Thanks a lot Jerry/Geezers. The Gary Brother Homage is unbelievable brought myself, my wife and family to tears. It’s been a terrible pass 4 months! Been so busy with very long list of things to do. More busier now “Retired” than I have been in the past 25 years working lol. Not looking having to tell my mother. My brother try to tell her he wasn’t good and he was dying, but she didn’t comprehend what he was saying. And yesterday ran over some metal scrap and blew a tire on my old truck. Need some race time with Geezer Buddies. Miss you guys. Will be back soon. Thanks, You Guys are The Greatest!!!

Interested to hear comments about the driving in these two videos.

And Luiz.....I might be able to help you out soon. :) I have got a lot to learn but I think I can get to grips with this video editing.

And Luiz.....I might be able to help you out soon. :) I have got a lot to learn but I think I can get to grips with this video editing.

Analyzing just this short part of the race I would say:

Scenario 1: The car in front is slower and is not defending position (blue flag) - The driver in front was following the optimal race line. It's not always possible to follow de optimal race line. I would say that the driver in front could leave some space on the left for the driver behind, that was clearly faster.

Scenario 2: The car in front is defending position - Taking in consideration that the driver in front was defending his position, we have: 1 - he was more then half car ahead 2 - he was following the optimal race line (not blocking), I'd say that he had the preference of the corner so the driver behind should release the throttle so there would be no contact and wait for a better opportunity. Remembering that the car behind is responsible for the safety of the car in front.

Concerning race lines, some times I hear someone say "I was following my race line and keeps bumping on the other racer door" When you are side by side with another driver there are no such a thing as optimal race line, you have two race lines, the inside and the outside and both drivers should follow it's own race line, save space for the other driver and do not bump the other car.

Conclusion:
1- The radar is your friend
2 - The video is excellent, if I can do, you certainly can :cheers:

Scenario 2 is how I look at it.... both cars were going same speed since last corner. This was a battle for 3rd place on the last lap. Personally when I am in the position of the second car I lift because I see that the door is closing.

Good analysis Luiz by the way. You should be a steward :)

Here’s my comments. A long time ago an old man told me” Son, opinions are like a$$holes. Everyone has one and they usually all stink”. That being said, answer me this, Do any of us receive a paycheck from Gran Turismo? Didn’t think so. ITS A GAME!! If I posted a video or a comment every time someone punted me or I punted someone off the line or the track, that’s all that would be on here. We are not professional race car drivers. It’s a game. Let’s just race and have a good time without all the drama! Please! I think I speak for others as well. If not, call me out. Hope to see you all Wednesday night. Rant over!!

I'm a Geezling and I think I only get one cent .Our lobby races are for members and friends only for a reason .The Daily races is where competitive racing is done .Remember the Geezer code FUN AND RESPECT FIRST ,racing second  PS I'm guilty of hard racing at times ,so I'm going to try and take it down a notch :embarrassed:

Agree 100%, IMHO this is just another "bumper cam" issue, but since i use the chase cam - most do not like it - I would have been able to see Greg had the nose of his car on the inside, would have yielded and kept to the outside.

I don't think you should 'take it down a notch' Al. You always race ok.
