GT Sport Is Not GT7.

Back on Topic, Fans are confused regarding what GT Sport is, some say it's a Free to play, some say online only, some say prologue.
I'm quite worried the sales may suffer due to this issue, unless PD/Sony gets in detail regarding what the game truly is.

The casual millions, which obviously drives the sales, won't be having these confusions. They probably won't even know about it right now. I wouldn't worry, by the time the casuals know about it, more will be known. It's only the die hards and gaming nerds talking about it right now.

Quite happy, the older GT game on the same system is usually over-shadowed by a newer one with all the improvements, so if PD now makes a GT Sport and main GT on each system, both games could stay fresh and appeal to different audiences.

Sadly we don't know too much about GTS

I'd love to be proven wrong since I think most mods are amazing on this forum, I had a look around the forum's locked threads and others, saw nothing being done by this moderator, my opinion can be incorrect, never did state it as a fact, so if you indeed find topics where this mod has proven to be take action against anything, I'll give you a like.

I think those distinctions will be cleared up amongst the people in the coming months before the beta, when they start showing off the new stuff and the details at the big game shows.

PSX in December seems like the obvious candidate for the big blow out of info.

That's when they'll likely show the money like new cars, tracks and what exactly these three gamemodes entail, and probably even gameplay.

More info on PS VR will probably occur at CES in early January, and probably GTS shown off with that, if so.

GT games are usually playable at most events, so if we get a playable demo of GTS at PSX, CES and many other events will also include a playable version before and after the Beta comes out, GT6 was everywhere before it came out.
Quite excited to hear more details.

I'm not disappointed actually, i'm looking forward to see how will the gameplay look like. If it's good then i think GT7 will be great (if PD suddenly doesn't announce that GTS is GT7 in disguise lol).

I'd say that question is more indicative of where gaming is headed than an outright problem with GT Sport's reveal. Players are more akin to these type of games now than a traditional style game.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that GT7 will not be seeing the light of day in 2016. What was it that Kaz said? Something about definitely not needing to wait until 2017 for GT7? He'll probably claim he was talking about the next GT game IN GENERAL. Instead we get this 'great' news about Gran Turismo Sport and how it's going to be focused on online racing. Forcing people to play as a 'community'.

I thought it was obvious with the Name and the Online Features it was going to be a Motorsport Spin-Off like how Forza Horizon is an Open Road Spin-Off of Forza.

That line seems to give it away that it is a spin-off. It has features from a GT game, that means it isn't a nomral GT game but rather a new game with features from the main GT titles.

Interesting..... they are kind of implying that GT Sport will be a smaller version of what GT7 will eventually become (so it may not be classed as a prologue, but it still falls under the same category) . But if it plays like a GT game should, then I have little reason to be concerned. PD are generally quite innovative in the way they structure their games. These next few announcements should be interesting

For me, GT Sport is a real episode.

I think there will be two versions of GT on PS4. A GT "Pro" and a GT classic.

With updates there is no need to make two classic GT. I could be wrong but this is what I think and I totally agree with PoDi.
