Why did PD not include the changes to the run-off areas in the Porsche curves ?

I flat out do not like the Forza and GT6 implementation of Le Mans... the Forza one is particularly unpleasant for some reason I cant quite fathom.
This GTS one though... its quite decent. I cant put a finger on why? Is it the surface?
I dont like Le Mans all that much anyway as I feel like the 13km is suited to N700plus or LMP1s so it excludes the cars I kind of like... eg. GT3 isnt even fast enough for it but kudos to PD, its the best version in any game.

I remember hearing that the changes were made in the winter. I'm assuming PD had the track pretty much done at that point in time, before work was done on it.

I've got the Le Mans stream on another TAB right now. I am gutted that my old T300 base died and then a few days later I got my new base and it died within 30mins, after thrashing about on Le Mans. I tried using my controller with the "oldschool" GT controls and just made a pigs ear of it.
Let's face it, GTS version is flawed with no day/night cycle or variable weather. I think what makes it so pretty and immersive is how the light reflects of the surfaces, which just draws you in.
We just need a shedload more WEC/GT1/LMP cars adding to the game now. Silverstone should be added next and then Daytona 24.

Been driving it exclusively for a few days. It's pretty close.

I think GT Sport captures the Porsche curves really well, on other games they're just some corners at the end of the lap. On GTS it's like a roller-coaster where you have to string together 5 corners into a single fluid movement whilst being right on the limit. I guess the tight track limits help that with the feeling of being precise.

We do not know what was removed from the game for reasons of optimization and what was removed due to lack of time, license or image rights, is a complex and confusing subject, but i also miss street signs, banners, stores and boards of some sponsors, iracing is a step forward in this.
