That got me scared a bit. I mean i remember some Hatsune Miku livery being approved by Turn 10 on several cars in Forza Motorsport 6 but the whole idea of people reporting you because "insert i hate anime style because weeboo...etc" and getting banned for it is bothering me.

That's a weird way to get banned.
You don't get banned like that.

Unless Sony and PD are willing to 'approve' and censor, when nessesary, all livery 'submissions', I don't want to have to conduct my online activities behind closed doors. I already don headphones when yall get fowl mouthed. I'd literally have to lock myself in a room if you 'adults' were allowed to plaster teets and arses all over you whips.

FIA? Are you listening? For the few who cain't do without, there's always Microsoft and PC stuff for your taste for fantasy.

For someone trying to act mature, you certainly seem to be overreacting to something that less than 5% of the playerbase will do. Are you one of those adults that actually gets offended by someone "cussing" in public, even when there are no children nearby?

Why does Phil's personal preference bother you so much?

How old are you? Are you responsible for any minors? The wifey and I ARE 'over protective' of our children as my parents were when I was a youngster. It's not like I don't condone adult behavior. When we conduct ourselves as responsilble adults in the presence of children and in the general public, we are setting an example for our children. No. I don't get offended. I just don't like it. So when the knucklehead decides to park his racist billboard in the middle of the track, I can find another room while others deal with the messege in their own way. It's just a game. It's not something that I couldn't live with. I am comfortable with the choices I make. No need to reply ;)

I'm sure they'll have a policy on the matter of offensive imagery.

So why are you making a big deal about the racist idiot if you leave the lobby? Report them and move on. Same thing for genitals and other nonsense in the liveries. If you would have to "conduct your online activity behind closed doors" then perhaps public lobbies aren't for you. We should all hope for the best from online communities and prepare for the worst. Just because some idiots want to ruin your day, that doesn't mean you have to let them. Of course it gets annoying, but sometimes you have to laugh at the absurdity of it and find a better area to race. If your kids are at home while you're playing, then maybe a league or friend group would work better. I'm sure there's enough casual groups here that would quickly join if you hosted a private lobby and left a message in their thread(s). That's far better than stressing over toxic players.

Wow. It's like, you know who you are, will stand... no sit idlely by while a 'friend's' heritage is mocked. It's never funny, especially when the assailant is not known to be a comedian. This 'alternate reality' mentality is gaining a real foot hold in society. I could find some humour in it but I do care about my childrens' future. Please allow me to clear this up.

PD's livery system for Sport will most likely consist of predetermined logos and/or stickers with which we could apply to certain areas of the car. No muss, no fuss. You may not find this idea very artistic or free spirited, but I find it to be a better alternative than what I experienced at FM3.

That may sound better for your children but that in no way sounds better for the game. I would say maybe avoid online interaction all together, but considering the lackluster offline, that may pose an issue.

Hi guys, I'm new here, I noticed something that may be unimportant. Has anyone noticed that on the top left of this image it says they're in the paint menu, I might be making a logic jump in saying this has nothing to do with stickers, so perhaps that button on the bottom left is just to save progress.
Welcome to GTP.

To be honest, I did know the answer before I asked but I had to.

But when all the press guys have to wait until friday, I'm pretty sure that we will also see some official announcements on friday! :D

What if Polyphony takes an approach similar to how Media Molecule handled inappropriate content in LittleBigPlanet? Over the last 9 years of LBP being available, I haven't actually seen anything very objectionable online. A simple "Good Grief" function that flags livery's for review wouldn't be too bad to implement.

Simple solution a livery online enable/disable toggle, Kind of like how tweets can be hidden for certain people of a sensitive disposition.

I never had any issue with the most recent NFS, That was hardly a game targeted towards the most grown up audience, Also dependent on just how good this livery creator is (not holding much in the way of hopes) I'll be making more risque liveries because I'm immature 👍

When I first heard of this, I thought that PD are implementing a feature to import full liveries as texture overlays (not sure if that's the correct term) similar to GTR2. It would've certainly eliminated the dichotomy about the possibility of creating offensive images. Oh well, I'm sure PD have some sort of restriction in place.

I am sure they will setting up a terms of usage for the livery editor.

I don't know about 2015 NFS but I clearly remember I am downloading someone's livery with a dick visuals, days later the car is reset to default paint. I guess the livery has been deleted.

I don't really care about nude females on a livery but I am curious about the terms when we are using the copyrighted logo/materials. Like, what if we are putting the Silk Cut logo on the Jaguar XJ220GT race car (is the car exist in GTS?)

You will be able to use any logos you want, copyrights don't work that way in game. It's just offensive material that gets weeded out. That's how I've seen it work in any game that has a livery editor.

I think this is actually the menu to set the base colours for those parts.

Yep looks like it indeed, based on the corresponding parts and labels in the image.

One thing I'd like to know though is how different finishes/textures will be handled if at all. So far I haven't seen any indication that it can be done. Most of the race cars seem to just have flat colours applied.

So what if I wanted certain parts of my vinyls to have a metallic finish or matte finish on a standard gloss car, or vise-versa?

Surely this will possible but I'm just a bit concerned as I haven't seen any evidence of that ability yet.

I want to try a bunch of different styles like gloss or metallic highlights on a matte or semi-matte body. Or even some hints of chrome here and there.

The decals are interesting, but it's inconclusive as to where they came from - PD could have made them for the event.

The second icon from the left (arrow down above car) seems to be the icon to apply "the livery created" to the car or save the livery for that specific car. Doesn't seem to be an import button.

Also, we can see it has Firestone tire branding. Changeable tire branding confirmed?
Yep, the two GT-R livery editor pictures showed one with Pirelli's and the other with no branding. The stock tires are Yokohama's.

It looks like, that the interior sheet metals won't be painted too?
What do you mean? Are you talking about the MX-5, where the red on the inside didn't change color?

I guess you'd just have to buy the car in black as a precaution so when you paint it a different color it won't look weird.
