well even if the sponsors are limeted with the shapes we can create what we want right and if you can put real logos just using USB in the game like PES its all i need what im woried about its that the Won't let us customize the official Cars
for example the HTP Motorsport AMG GT3 etc etc

There's nothing really stopping PD from implementing base models like GT6, but we'll just have to wait and see about that one.

If the Livery editor is as good as advertised, that by itself would make me buy a PS4 & this game. It's what we've all been asking for 10+ years.
No, no it's not. A lot of folks have been against a livery editor for a long time because of profanity. I am just waiting my for them to make the noise.

Personally I think it's great.

So how long till we see a comedy cock livery? I remember seeing a dick shaped track made in course editior a couple of days after release. Oddly fun to drive, the pair o' bolica was quite tricky :)
Nice.

This kind of stuff is part of the game, livery editors and a couple of three-equals-D go hand in hand these days. Virtually no way to prevent it...

Yes there is. A reporting and moderation feature would work great.

Want to make something ridiculously stupid/vulgar/unsavory than be prepared to get banned. That's how it works in Forza.

Does this "Yup" means what I think it means  Confirmed????

Profanity/offensive symbols etc. are a given wherever there are even the most basic tools. Nobody have yet discovered why this is such a popular phenomenon, but speculation is that some people never grow out of sixth grade.

The interesting part is how it'll be dealt with. Yes, there could be a selection of people with no other job than to monitor each and every single import being made, but I honestly don't see that happen, for many rather obvious reasons.

What I could (and would) see happening instead is:
  1. The game allows you to disable custom liveries when playing either online in general or just in public races. It's not an unheard-of concept, and given that custom liveries are most likely applied on top of the default ones, the game would just load those instead.
  2. Include an "Offensive Livery" option when reporting people and have that be reason for suspension. Given that we live in a time where save data (and I imagine this includes custom liveries) is stored in the clouds, I don't see it too difficult for the game to simply not load it until an attached timer reaches 0 (or, if it turns out someone has an IQ lower than my desk, forever) should it be justified. Or follow R*s example and put them in a sort of Bad Sport pool where the only people they'll encounter online are neo-Nazis/KKK, perverts and serial killers.

Image importing will at least save a ton of time in making complex logos or creating itashas. As long as there's a good moderation system and livery communities manage to police themselves (which they tend to do on other games), then it shouldn't be much of a problem to weed out profanity/racist/pornographic liveries.

I'm not leaning to far into the custom livery import section. That just sounds like it would work in a way that you're just importing other people's liveries that are on some sort of marketplace that you have downloaded and have stored. It just seems impractical that they'd allow such a feature. I'd be pleasantly surprised if I was completely wrong, though.

My post on June 29th:
If this lets us use images and skins created on pc and then import images via usb to the game (like PES), we will be on to a winner in this area. A very under used and overlooked feature for the PS4, unfortunately.

Miracles do happen. Kaz does listen...👍

You can thank me anytime.:D

Still won't believe we can import photos. How can they possibly police all the photos?

Or change completely a part of headlight like this ?

This guy just asking why Gr.3 version headlight and road car version irl have different lights.

A bit too early to believe that, I think we need an official confirmation first. They can moderate all liveries by some kind of report function.

I'm sure that's an import image option (second from the left)

Honestly I am afraid that is a save button (saving a livery editing that in progress).

Another image showing livery editor in use :

I believe PD is not stupid to make non-transparent logos to be applied on the car. I believe this logo was manually imported via livery editor (if exist).

Why not? Having a backdrop doesn't exclude it from being a premade sticker. Either that, or the person themselves did it. Absolutely no way to tell with just that little photo.

By your profile picture it's not hard to tell what you're going to make... A certain Z4 GT3 anybody?

If the whole Import thing is true then, remember when someone brought up the prospect of an Ashens liveried car and I added to this by making a Chef Excellence logo? Are we still gonna do that?
