GT Sport SVG request thread (Please read 1st post)

So I've spent some time making this logo for my motorsports team, and tried converting it to SVG in Inkscape. But I haven't been able to get the file size below the GT Sport limit. If anyone could convert this for me, It would be very much appreciated.

Really? I'm curious how you did it if it was over 15kb. I spent 1 min auto tracing it, and it turned out to be less than 8kb.
I'm only asking because I'm legit curious, it doesn't seem like it would be that big no matter what you do?

Maybe you tried to save the png as svg? That won't make a true svg as it is still a pixel image.

I followed some online guide on how to convert to svg's using inkscape. I guess it was doing what you said. Saving a PNG as a SVG. I have absolutley no idea what I'm doing. Everytime I did it, I ended up around 60-70kb. Thank you so much!

Wow, 60-70? Yeah sounds like you were just saving a pixel image as svg, that doesn't work very well Try having a look in the tutorial thread here, the basic principle you read there will apply to any program. Start tracing yourself, it's a fun process and you'll learn a lot!

Remember that if you use Inkscape to import a jpg/PNG, and then use the trace bitmap option, that you then have to remove the jpg/png for the SVG to work.

Hey guys been having a few issues with this, I got it as AI converted it to SVG and it looks perfect on my laptop, Even when uploading the logo it looks spot on, But opening it ingame parts of it are missing, If anyone could take a look at it and give me some tips on what I can try to fix it that would be great 👍

Well you didn't say which parts are missing, but I'm guessing the inside of the C and the E weren't right?

Anyway, try this

It was doing that thing where the cavity inside a shape was filling itself in for no reason. Rather than mess around with it, I always just cut out a section to link the inside to the outside, then close up the nodes afterwards... it's a workaround, but it only takes a few seconds.

This is roughly what I mean..

Well it definitely worked man looks great 👍 I probably would have paid more attention but currently I'm abit sick so not really as observant or quick thinking as I should be, I blame the Pot Noodle I ate yesterday

This one is pale because it was a watermark

For both monochrome is fine, color doesn't matter, transparent background please.

No kiddin'. There's lots of good decals, liveries, and pics that get lost out there because folks can't be bothered to enter something other than the default 'new design' etc. Otherwise why bother sharing? They're only shorting themselves.

Am on my way out the door atm but this looks like an easy one for https://www.vectorizer.io/ Just chop it in MSpaint or similar and upload the parts separately. Uncheck the white box on the right to make the background transparent. If it's a little too big when you dl you can try running it through https://jakearchibald.github.io/svgomg/. This is how I tend to do my text decals rather than individual lettering.
